The story of the weekend was not the discovery of solid evidence that Obama is as queer as a 17 dollar bill (Bidenflation, you know). His letter to his beard, er, girlfriend 40 years ago is hilariously awkward. (“In regard to homosexuality, I must say that I believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce of earthly life. You see, I make love to men daily, but in the imagination.”)
Obama should be in a bind because how can he deny being light in the loafers without making homosexuality sound like a bad thing? I know, I know. The LGBT crowd will always forgive him because LGBT is not about anyone’s rights. It is all about power.
But who writes in a love letter to a girl that he would rather have a boyfriend? He should have been more subtle.
Roses are red
Which I like having, dear
I want a marriage
That’s strictly lavender
As amusing as exposing his secret life is, Obama does not matter. Sure, he escaped justice. He will never be tried for his war crime of bombing Libya or using the FBI to spy on people he considered personal enemies.
But he is the past. Nothing can be done to hold him accountable. We are Americans and we look to the future. That future is in dire jeopardy because the same deep state that refuses to go after Obama or Hillary is trying to railroad Donald Trump. If we do not re-elect him, we have no future because if the deep state can destroy him, none of us are safe.
Thus I have explained the real story of the weekend. Trump is winning.
Media-ite reported, “Donald Trump literally overshadowed Ron DeSantis — with planes — at the Iowa State Fair on Saturday, flying over the event and prompting the throngs of GOP voters to chant ‘we want Trump!’ while the Florida governor was flipping burgers and trying to woo support.”
The same generation that said “I want my Maypo” and later said “I want my MTV” is demanding its Trump. We have no choice. The Flight 93 election of 2016 has become our Gettysburg as Democrats once again run up the hill in another Pickett's Charge. Will we be the 69th Pennsylvania regiment that stood up to the Confederates or the 71st Pennsylvania, which retreated?
People in the American wing of the Republican Party have no choice in 2024 but to nominate Trump in the hope that we still can rescue this nation, which was conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Today we fight a fascist government that is in cahoots with multi-national corporations to destroy our rights.
We have a government of the government, by the government and for the government.
And that government is run by insane people who want you to believe that boys can become girls magically just by changing their nouns. The people running our government want you to believe that carbon dioxide controls weather. The people running our government want you to believe that eating bugs is better than eating meat.
The bogus investigations and the political indictments speak to a reign of terror that Republicans in DC refuse to demand end. The swamp gas of Washington — which was built on a drained swamp — has clouded the minds of McCarthy, McConnell and their minions who elected them into leadership. They foolishly believe they are safe from the deep state. Republicans such as Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia have convinced themselves that Democrats will never turn on them.
The Uyghurs in Red China believed the same thing about the communist party that they helped put in power. A million Uyghurs now work as slaves.
Republican power brokers refused to help Trump in 2016, turned the House over to Democrats in 2018, aided and abetted Biden’s steal in 2020, and crippled Trump candidates in 2022.
These political cowards deserve no say in 2024. We will re-elect Trump without them because we have no choice. The only way to stop the fascists is to rally behind the one leader with the courage to take them all on.
The money men prop up the losers. As I said earlier, running for president is a lucrative business. You get to raise money and spend it pretty much as you want.
I said, “My advice to the loser candidates is keep on running, baby, As long as the money is there for the taking, take it.
“A presidential campaign boosts one’s ego and one’s wallet. The media loves to overstate the popularity of a Christie or a Haley because the media wants to pretend the nominations are still up for grabs. Christie, Haley and Pence also get air time because they trash Trump.”
The DC media worships no-chancer Christie. The Hill canonized him, saying, “Few candidates have been as aggressive in their attacks against former President Trump or shown the ability to get under the former president’s skin quite like Chris Christie.
“While the former New Jersey governor is occasionally quizzed at town halls and in TV interviews about his policy positions, his frequent and at times personal criticisms of Trump have garnered him headlines and raised the question of whether he can make waves in the primary field either with his candidacy or by derailing Trump’s.”
Christie has 2.6% support. That’s down from 3.8% eight years ago. As his support shrinks, his waist expands. If he were seriously seeking the presidency, he would have lost 150 pounds by now. Whales have asked me to stop calling him a whale because they are not fat; they are big boned.
Rather than give Christie a chance to jab him on stage, Trump is skipping the Fox debate. This means thousands will watch instead of millions.
DeSantis is livid. The once-rising MAGA star said, “I mean, you can’t, on the one hand, say that the country’s going in such a bad direction, which we all believe, and then, on the other hand, say you’re just going to take your ball and go home.
“Really? So, you know, I’m happy to do that. I’ve voted Republican my whole life. And, you know, even though, you know, I’m confident we’ll be the nominee, at the end of the day, you know, you respect the judgment of how this works out, and you don’t take your ball and go home.”
“It’s not just about you. It’s about a larger mission that we have to accomplish for Americans.”
Tell that BS to Mitt Romney, who has been a diehard Democrat ever since Republicans nominated him for president in 2012. Ditto his running mate, Paul Ryan.
Tell that BS to Jeff Flake, Liz Cheney and all the rest of the Republican aristocracy. Lecture them on loyalty before DEMANDING that Trump support Christie the Clown. DeSantis shows his inner DC spirit animal when he attacks Trump.
The deep state senses that it cannot cheat Trump out of the presidency this time, thus the inane indictments handed down in the effort to keep him behind bars and out of the Oval Office. Voters aren’t fools. They see it. They know it. They rally behind the man.
NYT complained, “How Trump Benefits From an Indictment Effect.
“In polling, fund-raising and conservative media, the former president has turned criminal charges into political assets.”
The story said, “Early on March 18, former President Donald J. Trump hit send on a social media post saying he would be ‘arrested on Tuesday of next week.’
“‘Protest,’ he wrote on his Truth Social website. ‘Take our nation back!’
“Mr. Trump’s prediction was based on media reports, according to his lawyers, and his timing was off by two weeks.
“Yet the statement set in motion events that profoundly altered the course of the Republican nominating contest. Donors sent checks. Fox News changed its tune. The party apparatus rushed to defend Mr. Trump. And the polls went up — and up.
“These series of falling dominoes — call it the indictment effect — can be measured in ways that reveal much about the state of the Republican Party. To examine the phenomenon, The New York Times reviewed national and early state polls, interviewed Republican primary voters, examined federal campaign finance records, analyzed hundreds of party emails, scrutinized the shifts in conservative media coverage and talked to operatives inside the campaigns of Mr. Trump’s rivals.
“The analysis highlights Mr. Trump’s dominance over the party, revealing the years of conditioning of millions of Republican voters who view Mr. Trump’s legal troubles as a proxy attack on them. And it displays an upside-down reality where criminal charges act as political assets — at least for the purpose of winning the Republican nomination.”
A reader asked, “I wonder how long it will be before we see Oliver Anthony at a Trump rally?”
Exactly. Trump may be a billionaire who doesn’t know what a Blizzard from Dairy Queen is, but he is one of us, fighting the Rich Men North of Richmond. Standing up for yourself against the government is a crime in Obama’s America.
Do you know who else was persecuted and sent to jail? Martin Luther King Jr. His Letter from a Birmingham Jail turned the tide against government racism and segregation. Our struggle today is for the same civil liberties he sought for black people.
The charges against King 60 years ago were just as bogus as these are. The charges for both came from the same Democrat Party.
I mention that to remind people that it ain’t over until we say it is over. We are fighting for our lives.
And we are mocking Obama for finally being outed. He is queer as a 19 dollar bill. (Bidenflation went up $2 while you were reading this.)
Nothing is left out of this one. Except I’ll bet that Christie doesn’t have even 2% support. I think he’s just an actor in his own play. The only people who show up are people coming in out of the rain. The only (awful) image I have of him in my mind is him hugging Obama. Creepy as all get out.
I'd like to correct something said in the article. "Tell that BS to Mitt Romney, who has been a diehard Democrat ever since Republicans nominated him for president in 2012." Incorrect. Romney may be a businessman, but he has been liberal ALL his life. I was a Massachusetts resident when he was governor and it isn't just him. Paul Celluci and Jane Swift are just two of the many RINO's that have polluted the state.
