When did Repub Senators become a bigger problem to us than the Dems? We need O’keefe, Tucker and Trump to expose their dark secrets, to includes their top supporters in their respective states.
If impeaching Majorkas is going to die in the Senate- Houston, we have a problem.

With the Democrats in control of the Senate, what was the point of impeaching Majorkas in the House? Unless I'm ignorant of the process, the House vote was all for show and it will go no further.
Plus, there is a valid point that Mayorkas IS doing his job, which is keeping the border wide open as President Biden/Obama ordered. Why impeach someone who’s fulfilling the will of their president?? Trump 2024.
I think it was still very valuable, even essential, to impeach Majorkas. In that I would prefer they did that then said and did nothing. It draws a line in the sand. It at least gets some degree of press coverage, and wakes up a few more people—maybe more than a few. It puts the Senate on the hot seat and forces people to take a side. Etc. I know it’s disappointing when it doesn’t go as far as we would want. But actions like that begin a momentum, and momentum increases, and more happens, and so on.
I think you are an optimus. I don't blame you, I too keep thinking there are still people out there who don't get it but in reality, those people either don't care or just don't bother to vote.
Yep, I am an optimist, but also a realist. There are some dark things I anticipate ahead that might surprise you.
But chiefly, I am strongly against pessimism, and its even darker cousin, cynicism. Pessimism to me is the most useless approach there is to anything. It is NEVER the gateway to victory. Too often it sinks into just a habit of ineffective complaining. Which is a form of surrender. I can appreciate the human need for commiseration, and value being able to commiserate myself to some degree on Don’s site here with all of you. We’re only human and there is a comfort in being with folks that are going through the same dismay we all have for our country.
But a lot of the “atmosphere of gloom” is a manufactured, malevolent psyops— CFP just last week had an article up about the Chinese CCP having a new push to get Americans to be discouraged and give up.
Also, I deeply believe evil is essentially always in a state of collapse, and that it is flat-out inaccurate to be impressed or intimidated with it. Even though it would LOVE for you to attribute that much power to it.
I prefer to be in alignment with the positive, creative, and constructive power of the Life and Goodness that springs continually from God.
And I know firsthand that there really are huge numbers of good people out there who DO care and DO vote, but they just haven’t been using the right news sources. They are all ‘vulnerable’ or ‘ripe’ for being red-pilled.
It appears you do a lot of thinking, TP Gal :) Wish far more people did. As for just viewing the right news source and everyone becomes enlightened, I may differ with you there. No news source is always right or left. There is a danger here in group think. And few if any two people think exactly the same on every issue. I know from experience that there is no true example of a perfect conservative, one who would be beyond reproach for their conservative thinking. In reality, most conservatives have some core beliefs that put them on the conservative thinking side. I really dislike classes and categories. For some reason everything has to be grouped into a class or category today. When I hear people say "the average American or the average voter" for example, it makes me cringe. The key to enlightenment for most of us is being able to think critically while separating the white noise and false narratives from the truth and facts. I think the difference between conservatives and liberals comes down to being able to critically think about issues and arrive at a rational conclusion about them. I'm not against Democrat corruption, I am against all corruption in our political system. I think most of us are. This is why we are at a critical time in our history, where we have to be more aggressive at calling our bad actors and corruption in both parties. The GOP will not escape this period untouched. The party will look far different after the 2024 election cycle and the next. It is time for all people regardless of party to see what is happening and put their collective foots down and change DC before we are irreparably damaged forever.
Yep, or The Hill. Sad that people can't deal with the truth or other peoples opinion when it differs from their own. The Hill at one time was pretty open minded but no more.
Well put on the variety of views within conservatism. I do think there's a very healthy range of views. And agree on not being against Democrat corruption, but ALL corruption.
I find the "lockstep unanimous voting" on the Democratic side in the House very creepy and concerning. They sure all bow to Hakim Jeffries. Rarely, if ever, a single dissenting vote on the Dem side. I'm not sure if it's because they all truly think identically (and therefore have been very successfully programed), or if they are all compromised by the IC, or a mixture of both.
They seem to escape individual scrutiny by being part of the unanimous "herd". I think we need to start separating the vulnerable ones from the herd and shining a light on them. There must be several in marginal districts. Send buses of illegals to their district, etc. etc.
Of course they all know that. However, there will be a trial -- a very public trial that the MSM cannot ignore. The Republicans can bring out all the horrible results of Mayorkas' dereliction of duty. I think this needs to be done, since the only place it is to be found now is on alternative media.
Of course, the MSM will go into overdrive to spin, deflect, and dissemble on the evidence, but it will still get out.
Hmmmm ... is that why I get all these cookie-cutter requests for information every day, on behalf of a gazillion candidates? It's always the same thing: they want my opinion so badly, but then it turns out that for them to accept it I must donate -- and if I had donated to all of them I'd be looking for a homeless shelter now.
I think we all know enough right now to get them out of office. The problem is doing it. As for Mayorkas, he isn't going anywhere until the end of Biden's term of destruction. Then what? He gets a nice job in big business that paid for the whole darn scam to begin with. The GOP just sees this as a fund raising subject. I get no less than 80 emails and texts a day from the GOP to make sure I understand what the problems are and soliciting my opinion, and, oh by the way, it will help if you support us with a donation. They have gotten zero from me this cycle and I don't plan to support anyone but Trump if he is the nominee. Screw the lot of them.

When we elected Trump. They showed their true colors

It's all part of the optics that Republicans are doing something, until the next diversion comes along to avert our attention.

To find irrational hive-minded groups simply read comments on Yahoo stories.

I like the way Elon Musk has said several times "woke mind virus has to die".
Agree with you on all of this, Reddog.

Threats have a way of working on weak people, thus no dissention in the devilcrat party.
I hope you are right TPG.
I think 1) it simply needed done to show solidarity with the normals, and 2) to put senate repubs in a box (i.e. once they vote, people know)
Good grief, how many examples do we need? We have known for a very long time. They really must think we are stupid to keep this up.
Good analysis Steve.

The point was $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. The GOP wants your $$$$$$$$$$.

It will die in the Senate.
And the Senate will have another glob of mud on its face. As the heat ramps up, hopefully more and more will resign.
