It appears you do a lot of thinking, TP Gal :) Wish far more people did. As for just viewing the right news source and everyone becomes enlightened, I may differ with you there. No news source is always right or left. There is a danger here in group think. And few if any two people think exactly the same on every issue. I know from exper…

No news source is always right or left. There is a danger here in group think. And few if any two people think exactly the same on every issue. I know from experience that there is no true example of a perfect conservative, one who would be beyond reproach for their conservative thinking. In reality, most conservatives have some core beliefs that put them on the conservative thinking side. I really dislike classes and categories. For some reason everything has to be grouped into a class or category today. When I hear people say "the average American or the average voter" for example, it makes me cringe. The key to enlightenment for most of us is being able to think critically while separating the white noise and false narratives from the truth and facts. I think the difference between conservatives and liberals comes down to being able to critically think about issues and arrive at a rational conclusion about them. I'm not against Democrat corruption, I am against all corruption in our political system. I think most of us are. This is why we are at a critical time in our history, where we have to be more aggressive at calling our bad actors and corruption in both parties. The GOP will not escape this period untouched. The party will look far different after the 2024 election cycle and the next. It is time for all people regardless of party to see what is happening and put their collective foots down and change DC before we are irreparably damaged forever.
Yep, or The Hill. Sad that people can't deal with the truth or other peoples opinion when it differs from their own. The Hill at one time was pretty open minded but no more.
Well put on the variety of views within conservatism. I do think there's a very healthy range of views. And agree on not being against Democrat corruption, but ALL corruption.
I find the "lockstep unanimous voting" on the Democratic side in the House very creepy and concerning. They sure all bow to Hakim Jeffries. Rarely, if ever, a single dissenting vote on the Dem side. I'm not sure if it's because they all truly think identically (and therefore have been very successfully programed), or if they are all compromised by the IC, or a mixture of both.
They seem to escape individual scrutiny by being part of the unanimous "herd". I think we need to start separating the vulnerable ones from the herd and shining a light on them. There must be several in marginal districts. Send buses of illegals to their district, etc. etc.

To find irrational hive-minded groups simply read comments on Yahoo stories.

I like the way Elon Musk has said several times "woke mind virus has to die".
Agree with you on all of this, Reddog.
