I don't mean to be bleak, but nobody is going to do anything because they are either all in on it or under the thumb of the deep state. Clown world is collapsing and apart from preparing yourselves there is not much anyone can do about it. The end of the dollar as the reserve currency is the end of the west as we've known it.

How about the article you never wrote for me (I woulda been Cyrano) on drug pricing? Amazon printed it for millions; but you gave me a blog, so there's that. Next articles on you. Maybe some Surbers will take a look.

End of the West? Númenor fell long ago, just as America will fall: by ennui, inertia, and lies.

David French is a RINO of the highest order. Trannies are threatening people for living while conservative. Like the legislator in Wyoming who coflates Tranny rights with Women's rights and says: "kill them all." Posts an Antifa poster with the tweet. Of a gunslinger tranny granny . We are heading for a fight, no we're in one now. God help us.

I would say he's a RINO of the lowest order, but your point is fabulously stated!

"What does fatso care?"

Exactly.

David French is a National Review eunuch. I might suggest this modification of "conservatives" like French and his ilk: they are Jim Crow comservatives - they can exist, and even participate (on a limited scale) provided that they know their place, and do what is expected.

Until Trump, most "Republicans" behaved like victims of Stockholm Syndrome - they'd rather settle for a place at the kids' table and take whatever scraps the Democrats tossed them than displace their "masters" and claim their places at the adults' table. The "Republicans" of French, Kristol, Wilson, et al. would rather be house n*&&^#s, than be masters.

Sadly, even if the Rs should regain control of Congress, they won't know how to use - or even abuse - that power effectively.

Another Substack I read describes the Republicans as the Washington Generals in the Harlem Globetrotters games. Their jobs are to provide a good show and lose. That's pretty much it.

The entire Administrative state and federal bureaucracy has been co-opted by the left. It IS the Deep State. No matter who is elected president or to Congress or the Senate, the Deep State is in control.

The law is now whatever the DOJ says it is and they’ll crush you to prove it. They answer to no one but their Leftist overlords. The Intelligence community’s main function now is to go after anyone who they deem a threat to them, or steps out of line, spying on citizens and the using the bullying power of the FBI and the DOJ.

The Rule of Law, and “blind Justice” is dead. We now live under an authoritarian government

On point, Don.

"Comey’s rule of law is those who enforce the law rule."

"When they indict one of ours, indict 7 of theirs."

Indeed.

I am voting for Trump because he is the only candidate in which I know what the hell I am getting: America First, cheap abundant energy which is the basis of the current inflation, relatively secure border, punishing our enemies with what is left of our economic leverage, etc.

What the leftist Dems…..is there any other kind?… are doing is ruling by law.

They are just looking at things differently, making adjustments to existing laws, reinterpreting the laws and there are no Republicans to call them on it or do something a out it.

We are being ruled over by swamp creatures whose o ly goal is to retain their own power and enrich themselves in the process.

They rule by edict and fiat like good little Marxists. They do not rule by law. Laws either apply equally or they are only propaganda, not laws.

I can't believe i'm the only one that is fed up with this shit the msm, dnc, et al has done and is doing to this country. Trans gendering rights, open southern and northern borders, depletion of military stores, gazillions of dollars to Ukraine, us funding all the covid - 19 in the world, the stay safe bull shit for over 2 years, the destruction of the economy, the destruction of the dollar as the worlds currency, inflation, dropping the energy independence, bull shit elections, nothing to very little has been done in over 2 years, red wave into a red fart, nada in 2022 open your lying eyes nada in 2022, you really think this is all gonna change in 2024? Yeah there is a 2 tiered justice system, one of the scotus justices cannot even define a women, but this pedophile is right now sitting on the bench! you really think this about a fair trial? there won't be anything left in 2 more years to save. How in the hell this doesn't turn ugly quickly is beyond me, Nero watching Rome burn, if not now then when I ask? is there not enough proof before you that this justice system, our rule of law is being used in it's entirety to thwart us at every turn! They're gonna have to kill him, if you don't think they will I'll direct you to Lincoln, and the day the music in my life died was JFK, yeah DEEP STATE then also...jus sayin....

Good point. I still cannot unsee McConnell purposely withholding millions of Trump generated PAC cash from at least four senate candidates that the People of their states picked to run. They all lost and the Turtle was smiling - anything to get rid of MAGA. Pathetic.

Expand full comment

McConnell, like Paul Ryan before him, is a drunk and simply can't handle what he knows what needs to be done. One of the many things he should do is file articles of impeachment against Biden, but he won't. This is what happens when people are more concerned about being re-elected than doing what is right. If I have anything nice to say about Mr. McConnell, it is that he would not let the very dishonest and spineless idiot Merritt Garland be nominated to the Supreme Court. Thank God for small favors.

Not only did he keep Garland away from the Supreme Court, he also got the 3 installed during Trump's administration. Other than that, I don't remember anything positive he's done in all these long years of "service"

If Trump is the nominee he can win but only by stopping the current fraudulent ballots from counting. He gave us three supremes but 2020 taught us not to count on them. When we watch the blatant destruction of our justice system by one party it can lead to no good ending.Pray for sanity in the NYC courtroom and President Donald J.Trump.

No GOP candidate will be allowed to win in 24. The dems have built a marxist blue wall of counting phony ballots in every swing state. McCarthy has to decide if he can get enough support to zero out the DOJ and DHS budgets until a number of things happen, beginning with the indictment of Hillary. Alas, all of this is wishful thinking. If you are in a red state (like Texas) it would seem a certain DHS person needs his own indictment.

Alvin Bragg just made the biggest "in-kind" donation anyone could to Trump's campaign. I don't know if these people are stupid or they're working for the opposition, but he validated every claim of persecution Trump made and put him in an even stronger position than 2016.

As for French, he is a uniparty stooge. The Republican Party's job is to make it look like we have two parties. French and his fellow stooges' job is to make sure that remains an illusion.

But when it comes to the "rule of law," the New York Post had an article this morning on the Pandora's box Bragg opened (https://nypost.com/2023/04/03/alvin-braggs-indictment-of-donald-trump-might-open-a-pandoras-box-for-democrats/). I won't say I'm happy about the situation, but when the indictments start flying, I'll be laughing.

Mr Bragg will either be NYC next mayor or the fall guy for opening the gates of hell. With the arrest of Trump, the deep state just arrested 75M Americans (maybe 120M). If he waited 2 more weeks he could have done it on the anniversary of the "Shot heard around the world." Not sure it will have the same effect, but in 1775, the American militia didn't know that their actions in Concord would amount to anything either.

French Poodle is just another fake conservative. There are a bunch of them and they exist solely for the purposes of legitimizing the Regime and marginalizing MAGA. The Regime needs to have the appearance of opposition in a “democratic”country. Why the quotation marks? Everything is rigged, that’s why. A lot of these wimps used to look, if not think, more like real conservatives when the boundaries of civil discourse and civic duty in this country still meant something. But now that the Left is nakedly abusing power, as in they don’t even bother trying to cover up the abuse, this crew, and sorry to tell you it’s most Establishment Republicans and some Libertarians, has done the math. They see the Left has the media, the big tech and big China money, the universities, the think tanks, and the civil service. So they are going to play ball because at the end of the day, they are for sale. Like most traitors, nobody likes them. I’m thinking they don’t even like themselves. But they are just windows dressing. The real problem is that the GOP is useless. You can’t fight a junkyard dog with a French Poodle. The DC Swamp is happy with any arrangement that preserves their spot at the ginormous federal money trough. They don’t care about ideology. Ideology is a means to an end. We need a new party. An America First party that welcomes everybody. You’ll get some Dems too. I’m done with the GOP. Seen them from the outside and the inside. These are not the people to rely upon. They lack character and as always, a lot of pols are crooked. They are happy for us to lose as long as they preserve the establishment. Let THEM lose. Don’t give them money or vote for them. Yes, that means the insane Dems make it worse. But until you walk away from a bad relationship, you’re gonna be the patsy. Trump 2024.
