Not Vivek for VP for a couple reasons.

1) His wife’s my friends oncologist here in Columbus, and we need her to stay, relatively unencumbered.

2) Though Vivek went into business rather than politics, he still smells to me like a class president & national spelling bee champ, fulfilling his mom’s hopes & dreams.

Great asset though. I’m thinking Chief of Staff. He needs to be tempered by the fire of working directly for DJT.

3) But, fortunately there’s a ‘red dot’ that’s got balls and brains and inside baseball knowledge who ready to go. Tough as nails- Kash Patel.

Secondly, I saw a video of him years ago asking Lyin’ Biden a question and it wasn’t a hostile one. So did he start out as a Dem and see the light? Is he honest? When you truly contemplate what “environment” Trump and his new Cabinet picks will be walking into, it can only be equated to the frontlines of a “hot war”.

Thus, the qualifications any one member MUST have need to include balls of steel.

They each must have an attitude and determination that is unflinching and bordering on ruthless, as they will be pitted against the veritable gates of hell.

No room for any sort of “politician” of any sort anymore. They got us into this mess in the first place. The gloves must be off and thrown to the wind.

We need the likes of Joshua’s, David’s, Patton’s, and whoever the General was who said, “Nuts”.

Our country will be facing a whole new battle arena which will include upheaval, unrest and forces of incalculable evil fighting to prevent its demise.

There can be no room for pity or pardon or mercy. They have shown none.

We are engaged in an existential battle for the life, soul and continued existence of the American experiment.

Whoever is to be included in that Cabinet has to be fully aware of this fact, committed and resolved to that battle, and beyond courageous in seeing to it that it is won.

We’re not in Kansas anymore, Dorothy.

We are in uncharted and exceedingly dangerous waters.

The Cabinet has to reflect that reality.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops will not be friendly with Trump. Trump surely knows they are one of the biggest benefactors and promoters of the flow of illegal aliens. Only the Catholic bishops of Africa have been publicly against the NGO recruitment and bribing of their youngest and best to migrate to Europe. Over here in the west, the USCCB is paid hush money by the U.S. government for every migrant they serve.

Granted, a Catholic welcome wagon would keep the vulnerable out of the hands of sex traffickers, but the entire operation is a money laundering scheme created and operated by the criminal organization masquerading as a political party, the Democrats.

Kudos to Don Surber for beginning a discussion and exploration about the people most likely to MAGA in federal office. My concern about Ramaswamy is that he was a pharmaceutical executive and Big Pharma has worked with the federal government on bioweapons to depopulate the globe. It is therefore difficult for me to trust anyone who makes or made money in Big Pharma as our FDA and other agencies are revolving doors for Big Pharma. We have a system in which the government regulators are "regulating" their own companies. I think Ben Carson is a good candidate for VP. He has the spiritual strength our country is going to need going forward, and also is extremely bright and compassionate. (Sundance suggested his name, which is where I got the idea). I also disagree with Doug Borgum for HHS secretary for this reason: if he is a Microsoft millionaire, I would be afraid he would be in Bill Gate's pocket. Bill Gates is probably the foremost criminal in the euthanasia program called COVID 19. So putting someone who has benefited from Gates' platform in office of HHS is very dangerous. As federal law now reads, all it takes is the say so of the Secretary of HHS to call a national medical emergency, and once this is called, we get all the trappings of fascism back: Operation Warp Speed was not a public health program but run by the DoD under the Joint Chiefs. In fact, SARS COV2 was actually a bioweapon created in a lab and the gene therapy mislabeled as a vaccine was also a bioweapon contracted for by the DoD. As such the government contracted for these poisons to be injected in every man, woman, and child, and thus committed democide. We can never allow this to happen again. The Trump Administration is going to have to repeal all the laws on the books, including the PREP act passed when he was President, that make it "legal" to murder Americans and never be held liable, whether you are a doctor, nurse, hospital, or pharmaceutical company. The Secretary of HHS should be a courageous MD who stood up for patients' rights and told the truth during the COVID period. Or it can be an MD who is a medical ethicist who understands that what happened during COVID can never happen again.

I like Mike Flynn a lot and respect him deeply. However, he has recently said that Israel should be on her own to fight Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iran. That surprised me, but he's entitled to his opinion. But because of that I wouldn't want him as Defense Secretary. I believe Israel should become independent of the US militarily, it is better for Israel. But to try to make that happen NOW in the middle of the war would be pretty devastating. I think he should be involved in winding down the surveillance state, reforming the NSA and reforming the CIA, both of which are in desperate need of reform if we are ever to be a Constitutional Republic again.

Also we need reform in Congress. Any ideas anyone? Where do we begin?

I live in a blue state and thus I have zero representation in Congress. Writing to any of my representatives or senators is an exercise in futility, worse, it might get me investigated. How do we change this?

I agree we need to basically tear down the FBI and start over. Counter-intelligence needs to be reformed, as it is being used as a political tool against Obama's enemies. In fact, Obama, Hillary, and other treasonous executives have an "all of government" approach, i.e., they use all of government to try to annihilate, imprison, defame, destroy, and expunge any individual who might work against them politically or who might expose their treason. This has to end, even if we have to fire everyone in every government agency to do it. There have been thousands and thousands of people laid off recently, so there won't be a problem hiring new patriots for the jobs that anti-American Trump haters have held.

This occurred just before he switched from party affiliation. Yes, he was a Democrat and I think he still is on the inside. The video was available online but probably has since been scrubbed. While Abbott is lukewarm at best -- he keeps his finger wet -- he would make a good DHS director for all the reasons you cite. We'd like to keep Ken Paxton (and Dan Patrick) here in Texas because there are way too many trans-Republicans in our GOP -- just look at our House of Representatives -- and the rot goes all the way down to many of our county organizations. But I think we're turning the tide.

Anyway. DJT already has a good bench for AG. It looks like he may already have settled on Jim Clark, and he's a hammer.

I hate to be the turd in the punchbowl, but I have to warn folks not to fall for the Paxton-mania. I did vote for him in the primary run-off last election but that was because I thought it better to put the final nail in George P. Bush's coffin first. Paxton's only virtue is he pushes back against the fed. But I believe there was a lot of merit in the impeachment charges against him. The House screwed up horribly by not holding hearings first before they voted the articles out; if they had done that and been more deliberate I suspect the outcome in the Senate trial would have been different (and to be clear, I think the current speaker of the house is an absolute disaster).

Abbott going to a Trump administration position would cause all sorts of issues. Dan Patrick would automatically become governor, which would be an improvement on Abbott by far. But that means there'd be an acting lieutenant governor for two years. Most people don't realize that the lite guv position is actually much more powerful than the governor. Patrick overall has done a good job; I'd hate to see that position fall to someone less competent.

This is a fine column, Mr. Surber. Everyone on Capitol Hill should be required to read it -- including especially staffers. I particularly like your suggestion regarding Michael Flynn. That guy was hung out to dry by some really nasty people. If he had a twin, that twin should be put in charge of the FBI. Better yet, the Department of Justice. "He's not a lawyer," you say? I voted for Crenshaw to primary. Good warrior, POS lump of a congressman. So Don, your picks are well thought out. No problem with most of them except Ramaswamy. I would need to know a lot more about him before considering him. In any regard, he is too young and has no experience in political business to be in office. He would cause more problems than he fixed. My choice for VP would be either Carson or DeSantis but the latter is damaged goods right now and comes from same state as Trump so not an option. Carson is a good choice because he is very hard to attack and he remains cool while debating folks. Betsy De Vos should come back and end the Dept of Ed as her only mission. LTG (ret) Flynn is perfect for Def Sec AND Sec State. Make him both. It would be a big improvement over the two zeros we have right now and give him some control of this mess. Make no mistake, the biggest obstacle to Trumps administration is going to be the unelected bureaucracy and the do-nothing GOP. McConnell needs to be gone as Majority Leader before the next congress is seated too. So does Mz. Lyndsay Graham. Hope it happens.

That unelected bureaucracy is a HUGE problem. How to fix it? Over my lifetime, I watched as the Dems cleaned house and put in their choices for bureaucrats, but when any GOP President did the same on a much smaller scale, the Enemedia was writing headlines about partisanship and poor, unfortunate souls losing their jobs. End result is those jobs are now owned by leftists who work the agenda regardless of who is the President.

One way to kneecap worthless bureaucrats is to move them out of D.C. I think Kansas and Oklahoma should receive a couple of Cabinet HQs each. Moving these Swamp critters to the hinterlands would get a lot of them to resign never to be replaced. State should beef up their consulates in places like Libya, Nigeria, and Somalia with a bunch of leftist drones who will bail out faster than rats leaving a sinking ship.

You are on target. The "family" is incestuous so break up the family and scatter it to the far corners of the country.

I really like Ben Carson but differ with you on how he would debate. He would get creamed in a debate hosted by the likes of any of the media pundits who would cut him off as he was making an important point.

I have had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Carson up close in action and I promise you, Mr. Carson does not suffer fools nor does he walk away from a debate. He is measured in responses, and I believe he is one of those people who knows how not to throw gas on a fire he is trying to subdue. He is not fiery, but he is a dog on a bone nonetheless.

I haven't had the good graces to see see Dr. Carson in person, but I have seen him in videos and even some he had made when he had run for President before. I know he is a strong, knowledgeable person and I'd vote for him for President if he was nominated. The point I was trying to make was the bias, dishonesty, and downright nastiness of the moderators in previous debates. Think Chris Wallace against Trump.

Thinking about having this cabinet staffed with outsiders and proven loyalists to MAGA is inspiring. If only we can get a Congress that will be able to make greater progress than in recent years. Put this cabinet and a Congress that has replaced the many GOP lunk-heads who are retiring with MAGA candidates would be a miracle.

Faith brings miracles.

Personally, I don't want a congress that does anything but hamstring itself through internecine dysfunction.

If it remained in gridlock until eternity it would be far too soon.
