I, too, am highly skeptical about Bondi. My gut says she doesn't have the strength, smarts, or integrity for this super-important position.
But I have to say, I can hardly think of even a single alternative. There are almost no heroes in the legal profession right now. I am sorry that Sidney Powell has been discredited by the Left.

The problem with having psychiatric patients running the world is you get crazy s-t. And that’s what the Democrats are putting out there - crazy. Suzie, that is a forgone conclusion but what we have to worry about is their time on this earth and what that causes for the rest of us. Mental illness has been relegated almost to non-existence since we closed the mental hospitals and asylums and threw the patients all out on the street or into half-way houses (same thing). Time for our society to recognize that mental conditions come in a lot of different forms. Many are just hormonal and can be treated. Some require therapy. Until we address this issue and stop labeling everyone with mental problems as some lesser form of human, we aren't going to get to the root of these issues. These people need to be treated, including in many cases, their parents.
I hated to lose Gaetz as AG but at least he exploded a few heads for us all to see. He'll be valuable wherever he goes.

I will believe it when I see it. How many GOP members have you seen that are aggressively pushing the DOGE efforts? Sound bites don't count here, real actions do. In the end, to be successful at all, the GOP in both Houses need to be 100% all-in with this effort and they are far from that right now. To eliminate or grossly reduce agency's positions, congress will have to act and it will be a great deal of work and jeopardize in some cases member re-election efforts. Only the public getting involved on a huge scale will cause them to act and support the efforts. Speaker Johnson and Leader Thune don't have the balls to make it happen either.

Regarding John Oliver, I can't believe more women aren't jumping on him for mansplaining his transplaining. Second, regarding the bathroom thing, I used to own commercial and residential real estate and I can give you horror stories about what perverts will do if they're allowed access to women's restrooms but I am positive that the real women on this substack can give you stories that are even worse than the ones I've witnessed. If even one lady doesn't want her bathroom compromised then so be it.
