As public sympathy rises for America’s Convicted Felon, the DNC spin is that if elected, President Trump will seek vengeance. The media is tripping over itself as it carries this water-in-a-whirlpool. The Jeff Bezos Washington Post (under non-DEI management) said
80 years after the Greatest Generation bravely stormed the beaches of Normandy to save the world, the greatest president is about to storm Washington to save the world again. God bless America. FJB!
Leviticus 19:15-16 “You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor. You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand up against the life of your neighbor: I am the LORD."
Exodus 20:16 Deuteronomy 5:17 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. The punishment for the crime of bearing false witness against your neighbor is that the false witness receives the punishment the innocent would have been given should the true facts not have been reveled. In other words, what is the punishment for 34 felonies? That isn't retribution but justice.
I must differ, giving them the punishment for 34 felonies isn't justice when they have committed far more and far worse than anything they have falsely accused Trump of doing.
Dr. Phil is dead wrong. The reason we got to the status of Banana Republic is that the hundreds of crimes that are perpetrated in DC on a daily basis go unpunished. How does the child who goes unpunished for his/her/its bad behavior grow up? Looks like first becomes a lawyer -- then graduates to politics.
Why did thousands of men storm the beaches of Normandy eighty years ago? Maybe a blessing most of them have passed, rather than see the rot that has plagued this once great nation.
Ashley and Hunter were both sexually abused. Not at all excusing his criminal, filthy, sociopathic behavior - but they both left their life history to be retrieved by some rando and made public. Deep down they must want it to end.
Obama famously told his acolytes to bring a gun to a knife fight. Unfortunately the feckless, craven, and venal Republican party keeps bringing knives to gun fights. DJT hopefully will deploy his guns if God willing he wins.
You are absolutely right and we must be reminded of the Obama tactics that have destroyed our country. We are in a street fight with a community organizer. We must learn to fight to win the whole enchilada.
Regarding Hillary's obvious treason and illegal behavior, for all his goodness, Trump took his foot off the accelerator and decided it would be better for the nation to not prosecute her. He was wrong about that. If she had been fully prosecuted at the time (Benghazi, the emails and illegal server, Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner, etc) how much of today's kabuki theater would NOT have happened? I would bet most of it wouldn't be happening.
The "compassionate conservative", a phrase coined by the RINO Never Trumper GWB. (Who, btw just wanted to be loved by everyone.
Also the guy who brought us the Patriot Act. Another abomination that may be the single most piece of legislation that further erodes our constitutional rights ever enacted.
But we were young and trusted our government. Reagan was a fabulous leader. We were lulled into passivity. GHWB was a snake. He was the start of the end of our government. Or maybe LBJ.
I'm part of the generation, who when a whipping was in order, Mighty Mama made us bring her the Switch of Instruction. The nearest tree to our back door was a Willow Tree. Ouch. It was fragrant, but Ouch. Pity that the board of such education no longer hurts the perp.
That's all very true but we are all comparing our childhood(s) to those of children in later generations.
Today's children are being greatly harmed because they are being raised by starring at bright screens depicting a false universe as their childhood and their world.
We had to live in reality, with real people, real animals, bugs, frogs, twigs, leaves, trees, rain, sleet, snow, mud, dust, ponds, creeks, hills, rocks...you name it...we explored the world compared to the children over the last 2 generations...they don't exercise, don't eat real food or drink real milk...everything is created by the use of technology and chemicals.....even our seeds are genetically altered!
This is NOT a better world!
Technology and science has a great many downsides, which we are experiencing.
The damage that is done to at least 2 generations will never be undone. We all silently signed onto it when we closed our eyes and ears, blindly going along with it because it was progress and progress is good. Progressives always taut forward thinking, rather than Conservative thought of conserving or holding onto what is right and good and worked successfully for society, culture and our country for centuries.
No, they aren't being "raised", they are being placated by electronic devices and people they don't know. Gotta make a choice if you decide to have kids. Either take the time to raise them correctly or get a dog instead.
You give them too little credit... they did all of the above with either self-serving insincerity or an ego too large to acknowledge their complete ineffectiveness. It is a level of foolishness that is difficult to attain, and we should applaud them for it.
Isn't it funny how they trade turns voting for the abominable stench of the swamp and then pretend to be angry at the smell the rest of the time? They are like children pretending no one can see them because they closed their own eyes.
I have to say no to that. Being a general is not the same as being in the political battles we are facing. The Trumpster is unique in that regard. He used to run in their circles so he knows what he's talking about. Mike, a good man but not for this..
John Kass uses the Sean Connery line from the Untouchables in the lead up to his show. “ They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way!
AD, I would respectfully disagree. Leo X probably was the worst hope because of his indulgences and his policy to allow Catholics to decrease their time in purgatory by paying down their sins to help finance the construction of the Vatican. This led to Martin Luther and the split in the church and the protestant religion. Stephen VI was particularly bad because of the cadaver synod in which he exhumed his predecessor Pope Formosos, dressed him in Papal garb and then put him on trial.
I think one of the things that we forget is that in every generation, it seems like the world is going to hell. While things are bad now they have been far worse throughout the history of the world and in the modern day US. I am reminded often of the struggles of Abraham Lincoln. Right after he was elected, while traveling to Washington to be inaugurated there were three attempts on his life. The first was by the nights of the Golden Circle a Democratic pro slavery group. The same day he was almost almost stabbed by a Jesuit who was against Lincoln’s freedom of religion belief, wanting instead a Catholic America. Later, a bullet went through his coach and was found to have pierced his hat. There were so many attempts to assassinate and or kidnap him during his presidency. His predecessor, democrat, James Buchanan, did nothing to prevent the south from succeeding and left our country divided. The countries of France, Spain and Britain were powerful at those times and were at our doorsteps. We know now the end of the story, but at that time those living through it did not. We are a great country with wonderful people. evidence of that is just reading, Mr. Surber daily and learning from his equally brilliant commentators. We will be OK because individually we have God on our side. FJB
Marian, how scary must it have been after Pearl Harbor? or for that matter after the debacle in 1942 in North Africa? Because we won that war we don’t understand the fear that our forefathers had.. if it hadn’t been for Hitler turning on Stalin in operation Barbarosa, we might all be speaking German today.
The entire history of the Catholic Church is one drenched in blood and heresy. It is thoroughly corrupt, from head to toe, inside out, with the exception of a few true believers - in God, not the Catholic Church.
“ And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
Gayle, organized religion has always been problematic. After the martyr of the first 33 popes and the formation of the Church, St. Ignatius of Antioch ( A.D. 69) was the first to have used the expression “Catholic Church.” But like most things that have been around for millennia, rot and corruption become endemic. The Dead Sea scrolls in Aramaic point to the equally divisions between the Jewish sects of the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Essenes. Islam is also affected by fights between the Shia and Sunnis. The only constant is God. He loves us individually. Everyone else can fight about the organizational structure of that love.
So . . . . how many would be left standing if we removed those who have committed (or were complicit in) crimes? There wouldn't be enough to hold a convention.
Don’t care. The entire party should be banned like the Naxi Party. Let them reorganize with new leadership. All their elected officials should likewise be removed and banned from voting or public service of any kind for like. The entire party of mental ill.
You are right Greg. This has been there modus operandi since the Civil War, the KKK, jim crow laws, etc. Act;ually, before the Civil War, but their history of hating America is much to long to go into here. They are not Americans, they are communists: they want to rule us peons.
Stalin killed tens of millions and died in his bed, as far as we know. Mao killed even more, and Justice didn't catch up with him either. Pol Pot got a slap on the wrist for killing a third of the Cambodian population.
I'll grant you that Hitler killed himself, and a lot of his cronies were hanged at Nuremberg.
But your statement is too absolute, and therefore misleading. If Trump is elected, and I sincerely hope he will be, the Dark State establishment will come up with all kinds of reasons to get off scot-free, and the pressure to just get along may bend even Donald Trump.
"Phil is wrong." Don, you are right. Once the sleeping giant is fully awake (can't wait for that day!), it's not going to go on a touchy-feely, forgiveness tour. The Left knows this, which is why they are growing more terrified by the day because, now, Trump may actually have a 100 million outlaw army. How'd you like to be on the receiving end of that? "Hey, you leftist bastards. Did your check engine light just come on?"
Trump can start with government defunding of all NGO's, especially the ones defending illegal aliens and felons persisting in crimes; the first I want to be defunded by the Federal government is NPR.
How about starting with a trial of George Soros, culminating in his execution as an enemy subversive and danger to all free governments around the world.
Then Bill Gates, then the Pritzkers, then the Rockefeller foundation heads, then ……
"...then the Pritzkers..." - for me living in Illinois, especially the Pritzkers, particularly J.B. Pritzker, Governor of Illinois, where property taxes have increased by 23% in my county and where gasoline taxes, already the second highest after California, will increase in July.
Those NGOs need to reveal every payment out of their bank accounts. Lots of upstanding Cockroach names will be there. Hundreds of millions of $$ - they have to spread it around - not be too greedy with that much ‘help’ being passed out…
The Catholic Church, the United Methodist Church, the Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church, certain sects of the Baptist Church, Red Cross, Salvation Army,...just for starters.....They're all in on it and they must be defunded and called out.
Like liberals, many of the churches were seduced away from a spiritual mission, to instead focus on "the social gospel" and "social issues" and to get their sense of righteousness from involvement in certain political activity deemed to be morally right.
Therefore as Jesus said, they have become as "salt that has lost its saltness": "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is henceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot of men." Matthew Ch. 5, KJV.
But mankind is more hungry than ever now, even starving, for a close connection to God, for a sense of value and worth and identity and of being loved, for a moral grounding, for wholesomeness and goodness.
Atheistic, materialistic, collectivistic (denigrating an individual's worth), dictatorial, repressive, Communistic systems starve the human spirit. Russia was known as a country of alcoholics for a long time. We don't get much honest information about how life currently is for most people in Communist China, but surely they are hungering for goodness and meaning as well. Their hunger is not going to be met by taking over Taiwan, or even America.
There is a very big difference between revenge and retribution. Revenge is personal. It's driven by a desire to get even, to make someone else feel the pain they've caused you - say, like Nancy Pelosi with her panties in a twist (God, what an image that is) over Trump's humiliating her by canceling her junket at military expense and forcing her to bring her luggage back home in front of cameras.
Retribution is a reckoning - a formal punishment, a rebalancing of the system, according to agreed-upon rules and laws; oh, say, like prosecuting a former vice-president who bragged on-camera about withholding funds to a foreign government until they fired a prosecutor investigating him and his son.
John Henry Holliday hisownself on where Trump is heading:
Follow the evidence and follow the money. And don't indict in NYC, DC, LA, or any other Dem stronghold. Poca, WV would be a good place to try those indicted.
Let the punishment fit the crime. Under U.S. statutes what is the penalty for treason, giving aid and comfort to the enemy? What’s the penalty for conspiracy to overthrow the government of the United States? What should the penalty be for conspiracy to falsely imprison a former President of the United States? What’s the penalty for mass murder with a bio weapon?
Etc., Etc., Etc..
That isn’t vengeance. This isn’t twisting the law or writing a temporary new law to create a writ of attainder to get one man who happens to be your chief political foe. This isn’t Democrat chickenshit lawfare. It’s simply following the letter and spirit of the law as intended. Democrats keep spouting off about our sacred institutions. Let’s test their faith. Let’s find out if they are true believers. Enough of the zero accountability for destroying the country. We cannot move forward until some debts to society at paid. Real debt requires real payment.
If they throw Trump in jail, or try to kill him, God forbid, or try to steal the election again and succeed? I predict there will be extensive civil unrest. People are not going to accept the fraud again.
Yesterday Buck Sexton - on The Clay & Buck Show - stated that the Dems have been waging lawfare for the better part of 50yrs against Republicans, roughly since Watergate. Just for example, look how they went after former VA Gov Bob McDonald for (if memory serves) bribery charges; they tried to lock him - & his wife - up over 100% bogus allegations. There was also Senator Ted Stevens from Alaska who was maliciously prosecuted for the very same (& found guilty by Deep State Judge Emmett Sullivan - same bucket of sh** who prosecuted General Michael Flynn). The whole thing was later thrown out, the FBI having been found complicit to conspire & withhold info that could have resulted in an acquittal ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Stevens ). The FBI/CIA/IS are nothing more than the Gestapo @ this point.
Mr Surber - your quote from The Bool of Ecclesiastes couldn’t be more prescient; there are times when you have to raise the Black Flag & give no quarter. We are in that time now. Hope the stupid Republicans have sense enough to grow a pair.
I like Dr Phil, but he is wrong here. In order to administer Justice, proper, even handed but unrelenting Justice, it has to not only be done but APPEAR to have been done.
These assholes have stolen peoples life savings, tortured and maimed unsuspecting children and murdered people. They have openly committed Treason. They have shaken our belief in the sanctity of our founding documents and made us doubt our country, our continent and ourselves. You’re Gdright I want payback. And I want it in the form of immediate trial and summary execution. I want the history books to show what was done, who it was done to and why!
If there aren’t enough lamp posts in Washington already, we can find enough young unemployed Americans who want to learn the trades of concrete, electrical and post erections to construct the rest. And Fishermen, Farmers and Hunters all know about knots right?
Make Public Hanging for Treason, Theft, Murder, and Pedophilia Great Again!
Forgive them father for they know not what they do. Never will I forgive these tyrants, because they know what they are doing, and see themselves as God.
How do you get the word out to the populace when the Dems own the media. You can be right all day long but most folks won't get the word cause the media buries it. We've got a problem.
It’s not wrong to arrest and try for sedition and treason. There are probably 500 Democrat operatives and politicians who have betrayed us. That is a crime. It is not political to hold these creeps accountable. It’s jurus prudence.
People of America NEED this resolution. Either a few hundred necks in nooses or the entire country goes up in flames. That’s not as a threat - it’s human nature. Our sense of justness has been trampled by these assholes. They need to be punished. Severely.
Life in prison or the gallows. Take every penny they have and return it to the Treasury. Ban the next three generations from public service or anything to do with public service by three degrees. Make them pariahs in history.
Yes! We must make this point very clear: For any war to truly end a total and humiliating defeat is necessary. Otherwise it festers like an open wound.
I offer the examples of the Civil war and WWII as examples. The ending of the civil war was done in a way as to retain as much of the humility of the Confederate forces (and half of our country) as possible. How'd that turn out? We are still fighting that war today. Conversely, we ended the war in the Pacific with a nuclear bomb that devastated parts of Japan unlike humanity had ever seen. It was horrifying but the war ended, and the Japanese were brought to a humiliating end of their regime. BTW: so were the Germans humiliated about bringing Adolph Hitler to power.
A humiliating defeat with a no-mercy death-blow is the only way to deal with this treasonous, satanic leftist war we are in. They must be so completely humiliated that they will go and lock themselves in prison.
Exactly. This is over when the enemy has lost the will to fight. Example Hamas: Bebe knows exactly how to stop them. The world won’t let him. Break their will. Kill every man, women, child, dog, goat until they quit and they can no longer sustain combat. They’re still fighting so that will is still there. Because the world hasn’t done the moral thing: fully condemn the horrific attacks of Oct 7. Rather they’ve prolonged the war by giving sympathy to Hamas.
No sympathy to the democrats. They must be complete destroyed.
Bad analogy. Atlanta was burned to the ground. As well as countless other towns and cities on Sherman's March to the Sea. This was just as devastating to the South as the nuclear bombs over Japan.
Perhaps, but I am not convinced. I am also probably not as well read in history as you are so there is that.
My point for today's topic: Every battle in the civil war was bloody and brutal. Every battle loss was humiliating to that side in the moment and was a local defeat. However, there was not a humiliating and clearly victorious end to the war like the knock out punch in Japan. We depleted the south's supplies and wore them out. The surrender was not an end of the war in many minds in the south. I don't believe what you call humiliation was felt across their entire confederate nation. What remained was continued unresolved anger which festered in the years following the "victory".
There are always the holdouts who will just not accept defeat. Wasn't there a Japanese soldier still fighting the war found on an island 30 years after the war ended? It was also a "civil" war, not a world war. Maybe the comparisons are not really fair. Besides, who likes to lose?
Altana was burned to the ground to keep war supplies out of the hands of Sherman’s Army, not by Sherman’s Army. Just another lie told by the noble southerners about the war of northern aggression (demokkkrats).
Respectfully: This whole attempt to find relevant comparisons of the issues of the War Between the States and the respective political parties of the 19th Century, lacks facts and context. Neither political party by any measure, is the same party by interests, demographics, or favored policies. Most modern partisans defending either side, traffic in myth and propaganda. Few dare wander among tombstones of truth and buried realities. Indeed, truth and reality are regularly denigrated to fit destructive narratives. The truths and realities are more complex … and, indeed, more interesting.

Would have made for a great ad this week.
Well put, Mark, well put!

I like Reagan’s “Peace through strength”.
But Trey Gowdy chaired congressional hearings on Bengahzi and he had really good soundbites on Faux News every night.
Today Jim Jordan is writing strongly worded letters and Senator Kennedy has funny quips
Isn't that enough?
Trey Goudy was a do-nothing P.O.S., but I think that was your point.
GOP stands for "Good old Pandering" today. None of them could recite their platform.

And give him the job of remaking the CIA, FBI, and Defense Intelligence Agencies.

To restore faith in our justice system those who weaponized it must be brought to true justice.
Indeed. Bad on Dr. Phil invoking this simpleton. Would venture to guess the worst Pope ever. Renders the old adage "is the Pope catholic" moot.

No -- there have been worse ones. Check the conduct of the Mafia Popes who were in charge in the 15th century.
Democrats who have not committed crimes have nothing to worry about. (Can you believe I typed that with a straight face?)

Cut off the money, and then their heads.
How about starting with a trial of George Soros, culminating in his execution as an enemy subversive and danger to all free governments around the world.
Then Bill Gates, then the Pritzkers, then the Rockefeller foundation heads, then ……
You get the picture.
"...then the Pritzkers..." - for me living in Illinois, especially the Pritzkers, particularly J.B. Pritzker, Governor of Illinois, where property taxes have increased by 23% in my county and where gasoline taxes, already the second highest after California, will increase in July.
Kash had another tool - cut off all security clearances, starting with the 51 form IC yuks who disavowed the Laptop from Hell
That would accomplish almost nothing. These people are so entwined within the Intelligence networks “clearance” means diddly squat.
They need to be locked up and the key thrown away, if not executed for treason and sedition.
Those NGOs need to reveal every payment out of their bank accounts. Lots of upstanding Cockroach names will be there. Hundreds of millions of $$ - they have to spread it around - not be too greedy with that much ‘help’ being passed out…
Well, for starters on NGO's:
Catholic Charities and Baptist Child Services.
Oh YEAAS! You betcha!
Forgive Fauci, my ass!!
There is a very big difference between revenge and retribution. Revenge is personal. It's driven by a desire to get even, to make someone else feel the pain they've caused you - say, like Nancy Pelosi with her panties in a twist (God, what an image that is) over Trump's humiliating her by canceling her junket at military expense and forcing her to bring her luggage back home in front of cameras.
https://youtu.be/jXEWl-a-4sw?si=p2hDqLa9N-wJTgX3
Retribution is a reckoning - a formal punishment, a rebalancing of the system, according to agreed-upon rules and laws; oh, say, like prosecuting a former vice-president who bragged on-camera about withholding funds to a foreign government until they fired a prosecutor investigating him and his son.
John Henry Holliday hisownself on where Trump is heading:

Exactly. There is nothing wrong with punishing wrong doers.
Follow the evidence and follow the money. And don't indict in NYC, DC, LA, or any other Dem stronghold. Poca, WV would be a good place to try those indicted.
Thank you. Been waiting for someone to tag onto retribution versus revenge. They are both sweet when executed though..
"This isn’t revenge. This is ending the era of bipartisan cover-ups of crimes by the political class."
Thanks for making me smile every day, Donnie Boy!
I have always believed that the FBI took out the Mafia and moved it to their headquarters in DC.....
Check out the documentary on John Gotti and what the FBI did to his eldest son.......
Keep belting it out on every platform you deal with. X, fb, if or even your neighborhood assoc. Someone, and then someone else will notice
Beau's bride may have been hot, but compared to Mrs. Trump, she's a turnip.
She obviously likes to share….no self respect there….
She married a Biden. Nuff said.
But it took the A bombs to get the sons of Nippon to surrender
The USAAF's B-29 incendiary raids on cities like Tokyo and 66 other Japanese cities were as bad as the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
You have the lie backwards.
You believe GWTW is a historical document
Good grief.
Atlanta started burning before sherman’s bummers got there.
There is something called "advanced scouts".
