It really is good to see highlights again. If you could even just make it a regular Saturday morning thing, that would great. It would be like when we were kids anxious to watch those Saturday morning cartoons.

I agree --- it's great to see Don's resurrected Highlights of The News!

"ITEM 1: 'King Charles evicting [ex-Prince] Harry... Frogmore Cottage.' ''

Here We Go Again (fresh from looking at the Chelsea Clinton --- Web Hubbell photos!):

https://www.google.com/search?q=james+hewitt&hl=en&tbm=isch&sxsrf=AJOqlzXYhIyYCOI8SaMHnmE7AUDsCFVCiQ%3A1678096305477&source=hp&biw=1024&bih=499&ei=sbcFZLL3GrGeptQP-JGooA0&iflsig=AK50M_UAAAAAZAXFwczjBVxcFXCjMm8caKoLgg1F4rIN&ved=0ahUKEwjyk73xg8f9AhUxj4kEHfgICtQQ4dUDCAc&uact=5&oq=james+hewitt&gs_lcp=CgNpbWcQAzIICAAQgAQQsQMyCAgAEIAEELEDMggIABCABBCxAzIICAAQgAQQsQMyCwgAEIAEELEDEIMBMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQ6BAgjECc6CAgAELEDEIMBOgQIABADUABYhQ5ghRBoAHAAeACAAUGIAfMDkgECMTKYAQCgAQGqAQtnd3Mtd2l6LWltZw&sclient=img

My theory is that Megan Markle is the illegitimate child of Chelsea Clinton.

Nothing else can possibly explain the identically obnoxious behavior of these two spoiled brats.

Next week: The Clinton-Lewinsky affair resulted in the birth of their daughter, Lori Lightfoot (basically, the same logic employed re Chelsea-Webby, although biologically impossible).

Item #2: People have forgotten how horrible Jane Byrne as the Chicago mayor was (and Mayor Washington, and... but I digress). Today, in comparison to Lightburn (as in heartburn), Byrne looks like George Washington.

Chicago wasn't racist when they elected Lightfoot, but now they're racists because she lost her re-election bid. Yep. Right. Makes perfect sense to me.

Item #5: For someone prone to mental depression, DeSantis has done an amazing job of developing the extroverted side of his personality.

Item #8: People may like Woody Harrelson now, but there was a time when he "starred" in the most disgusting trash ever filmed, back when he and Adam Sandler were annual faves in the Vegas betting lines for Assh*le of The Year.

All forgotten now. Lifetime Oscars for both coming right up, and speaking of which, isn't it charming how Chris Rock is suddenly delighted to be interviewed about last year's Oscar violence, in a vile attempt to publicize this year's show?

Remember when people who suggesting that the whole thing was "staged"? I didn't think so then. That's what it looks like now, doesn't it?

Item #11: "Draft deferment"?! The U.S. government was last capable of running a nationwide military draft in the 1970s. And is completely incapable of resurrecting that system in 2023.

"ITEM 20 ..., 'Police issued an arrest warrant Wednesday for defensive tackle Jalen Carter ... for his alleged involvement in a speed racing incident ... that resulted in two fatalities.' ”

Outrageous: He was charged with MISDEMEANORS, not felonies.

A drunk driver ran my father-in-law over, who six months later succumbed to his injuries. The drunk was convicted, and sentenced to ONE DAY in jail.

9:00 a.m.: Surrender to prison.

9:07 a.m.: Released from jail (time off for good behavior).

1 p.m.: Check in at the halfway house.

Side note: Jalen "He shouldn’t worry. The Browns will take him. He will join Deshaun Watson, the massage parlor creep..."

When Watson was originally suspended for six games in the 2022, Vegas bettors flocked to the # of Browns wins (season total) Over/Under proposition.

Imagine the reactions of those who bet the "Over" when Watson's ill-advised appeal resulted in an 11-GAME ban!

"ITEM 21: The New York Times whined, “Leave Russia? A Year Later Many Companies Can’t, or Won’t."

Simply type, "The New York Times whined."

"ITEM 23 ... '6th Grader Reads from Lurid Library Book at Windham Middle School.' ”

Windham is a Portland Maine suburb; Portland itself has been hollowed out and destroyed by Wokeism. And drugs. Don't go there.

Side Note: You'll never see that story about what's on the shelves of dozens of Chicago inner-city school libraries in schools whose students have 0% reading and math comprehension test results.

"ITEM 24: Pamela Denise Long wrote in Newsweek, 'Real Antiracism Would Mean Not Canceling Scott Adams.' ”

(Newsweek's ongoing pathetic attempt to convince potential readers that they support free speech by presenting / publishing the columns of people on both the left and the right.)

Pamela is just about to find out (she probably already has) what happened to Jennifer Sey of Levis Strauss, who got Multi-racial-KKK Woke Lynched.

Sey's recent book, Levi's Unbuttoned, is HIGHLY recommended, if you like to see examples of history repeating itself (Soviet Communist show trials 1930s = Levi Straus employee-woke-mob justice 2020-22).

And thank you for the link to Dilbert, Donald.

"DilBanned" has been a godsend as a source for materials I use to create montages.

Two cartoon series, roughly the same age, compare: Dilbert (still fresh) and Doonesbury (anemic; ideological hardening of the arteries).

Item 28 Liz Cheney --- Imagine that! Someone exists who is TOO extreme to be a panelist on The View.

Item 29: Who's more senile, Biden or Murdoch?

And that's all, folks.

Made my day!!!

Many of these make my blood boil, but 13 takes the cake. NYC paying off the protesters is outrageous.

30 - Pro tip - before losing your gun in a tragic boating accident, pay cash when acquiring it.

31 - Congress is amazing. If they pass a law to prevent train derailments, they will no longer occur. Wow. What amazing powers.

Highlights of the Week is a great idea and a nice way to end the week. If a highlights package on Saturday is your plan along with your columns from Monday to Friday, it's a super solution and much appreciated.

I see Michael Hugo, head of the liberal democratic party in the most corrupt state possibly in the world--Massachusetts--said this:

"People should abort any child who has a birth defect or is learning disabled so as to save school districts money that would be wasted in trying to teach them."

Really? I believe Mr. Hugo must be a reincarnated Nazi. It was official Nazi party policy to murder what government agents deemed the 'useless' of society and this is what all liberals want to do and stand for. It's only a matter of time before the liberal democrats go after the poor and the homeless. And to think some Bernie Sanders supporters in 2020 wanted to either re-educate or slaughter all conservatives.

The END is closer than you think.

That was fun to read and I caught a couple things I hadn't seen anywhere else! I can see why people requested it. Add my name to the list of people wanting this to be a regular feature.

#29 -- re: Fox set to possibly axe Sean Hannity, Maria Bartiromo, and Jeanine Pirro. Maria will be the big loss if that's true. Fox is just CNN-lite now. The only ones worth watching are Tucker (for news) and Gutfeld for comedy.

Expand full comment

Spot on. Hannity is insufferable these days, but I would love to see him breakaway from the Death Star. Maria has her own following and they all will prosper away from Faux News.

Thank you for the Saturday news..Brilliant!

Biggest news this week: Feds behind Oklahoma City bombing.....and reported by ......CNN

I have to wonder why is CNN doing this story now? In 20 years will NPR be saying the Covid came from a lab in Wuhan?

Expand full comment

I wonder if they are getting ahead of a story about to break. Clearly deep state has been at war with Americans since at least JE Hoover days.

Indeed they have. When Hoover showed JFK the pics the FBI had on him we started suffering.
