I hate to be a downer, but I have very little hope of a good year in 2024. I think there is high probability it's finally an "I told you so" year for the preppers.

The fact that the deep state absolutely can not allow Trump back into the White House offers one hell of a giant hint about what's ahead. "By any means necessary..." comes to mind. Too bad we law abiding, actual Americans can't use the same slogan. Maybe we'll be driven to it. Maybe the sleeping giant will become fully awake. Giving the DC cartel a case of massive diarrhea makes me smile.

Wonder if Trump is wearing a bullet proof vest yet?

I would bet that he has been wearing one since 2015. As soon as he came down the escalator and challenged Hillary, he became public enemy #1. I’m glad that he has his own personal security because I would never trust the SS alone to protect him. And I pray for him daily.

100% right. After listening to Mark Grobert, I'm convinced that the SS and CIA killed the Kennedys at the request of the donk leadership.

Yes, I also have such a sense of dread about 2024 I’ve never experienced at any other past New Year’s eve.

I am praying for mighty Divine Intervention and a great awakening of the people to once and for all rally together to save this country from ruin. Pray much! 🙏♥️

" . . it's finally an "I told you so" year for the preppers."

It may be difficult to see, but buried in that line is something good.

One thing is for sure. We're never going back to what it was 5, 10 or 30 years ago. So, moving forward is your only choice.

Speaking of preppers and water; and all those ads we get about stacking up water bottles/containers. I was preparing my hot tub for the winter; that means filling it higher with water, balancing the chemicals, and turning down the temperature. And, voila, I was staring into 300 gallons or so of prepped water. What a great country !!

2020 was an I told you so year for the preppers. This is gonna be an "I hope I live long enough to tell you that I told you so year." See you in 2025 or heaven.

What are preppers?

Expand full comment

People who believe that the events described in Daniel and Revelation may come to pass at any time. Given that when asked about a sign, Jesus replied with events which have been happening since the moment he spoke, and that he said only the Father knows, preppers believe it's better to be like the wise virgins and be physically as well as spiritually ready for his return.

Interesting! It's been 'out there' for quite a while now. A number of conservative radio hosts advertise products for it such as emergency food supplies. Costco even sells such a kit. 😊

Item 1- Big deal. So did Veronica Salt.

7- Haley will make a great VP for Pres Christie

10- I would have fired him for being a vegan.

13- Democrat election officers asct like its 2019 & they’re running Twitter.

21- Send Congress to Kyiv.

Lastly, my final vote was ‘Welcoming a new family member’. May I tell you why?

We have 2 sons with wives and 4 gkids. Both families foster. The last gchild was adopted bc my wife knew of him from the hospital she works in. He was abandoned there by his druggie bio’s.

A few days ago, another county contacted our son, that is now that child’s parent, and offered, for immediate adoption, a newborn girl who is undergoing withdrawal in a hospital.

We are over-the-moon excited! I know many of you will be blessed by reading this.

I agree that we should buckle up for 2024. What will the deep state think of next?

Viral disease: probably unlikely at this point, but possible. I think they tried the Marburg virus, but it didn’t work.

Assassination of independent, or Republican candidates: probably also unlikely as it would martyr the individual and probably not help the Democrat candidate.

Dirty bomb or mass casualty event. Maybe the most plausible scenario. We have unvetted military, aged men from the Middle East and China crossing the southern border. All of the weapons from Afghanistan that we supposedly left there may be used by design to create havoc prior to the election and allow for Marshall lawlaw by the Administration to prevent the election of 24 from happening. it may be the explanation of the bunkers being built by the elite. On the other hand, it takes years for these bunkers to be finished and the evil individuals who are doing the planning may have a longer game for after the new administration comes in.

In any event who knows and ultimately it takes too much energy to worry about all these issues.

Best advices: stay healthy stay prepared, be good with God ,have guns and ammo, and live a good life.

Happy new year to everybody on this site. I’ve learned a lot from all of you.

7. As always I will use this to advocate putting Robert Smalls in Statuary Hall. Here is my Amazon review of The New Simms History of South Carolina (1940). On March 13, 1862, Robert Smalls (age 22) used his knowledge of the operation and piloting of the steamship Planter to take the ship, his family, friends and some Confederate cannons past Ft. Sumter to freedom from slavery. He eventually became a United States Congressman. Smalls’s heroism is omitted from this book. He should be in every South Carolina history book and he should be in Statuary Hall.

Item 9; All the trendy hipsters around here go to the brew pubs (of which we have almost as many of as we have pot stores) and drink craft beers, so maybe they're not counted. As for me Miller High Life, Pabst Blue Ribbon or Coors Original will do.

10; Ditto

13; Our state has been taken over OR, WA or CO style by left wing activists who rule against the values and wishes of a great many of us. Shenna Bellows is an ex ACLU attorney and left wing hack extraordinaire. Even knowing that it is hard to comprehend the audacity of her being a one woman judge, jury and executioner, i.e. I just feel like he's an insurrectionist so I will, without even a court hearing, never mind a conviction or even a finding unilaterally revoke the right of Mainers to vote for him all the while blathering platitudes about democracy. Our government is full of crazy liberal women like her and our legislature is so wacked that it makes Janet Mills look like Ronald Reagan. I don't know how we take back our state when it's full of Government employees, Somali refugees, massive numbers of welfare recipients, dumb kneejerk Democrats and wealthy coastal elite types. The people moving here are not escaping Democrat policies, they're spreading them.

20; Dr. Kevorkian would be so proud!

21; Our policies in Ukraine have displaced millions and killed hundreds of thousands in a war that was never winnable. Isn't it interesting that the side benefit of destroying countries including our own is getting fantastically wealthy. What will Obama, Pelosi, Kerry, etc do with all that money if their dream for America comes to pass? There won't be a Met Gala to attend anymore, there won't be any 5 star restaurants to eat at, MOMA will be burned down. When they bug out to their house in remote Washington county, ME it will already have been looted. They are too smart by half.

22; Cool, he's still a weirdo though.

The thing I look most forward to is my oldest returning from the Mediterranean soon and finishing up his four years with the USMC in June.

Happy New Year everyone!

Nobody can predict the future. And as Monty Python and somebody on this substack recently said - "I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition." Nobody ever does. Whatever comes this year, will come. Much of the turmoil is cyclical. You can see it if you look back through history. You have to survive the cycle, which is probably going to last for a few more years. That's the deal. You can't guard against everything, but you can use common sense and some basic sense of preparedness to reduce your risk of bad outcomes. For a little money and a little time, you can give yourself a chance if things turn Mad Max. I am sure the creeps in the DC cesspool and elsewhere have some nefarious stuff planned, but I also think people are more awake this time around, as opposed to 2020, with the stolen elections, and the COVID attack. Usually, neither the best nor the worst outcome happens, so while it makes sense to be concerned, don't ruin your life over rumors.

For most of human civilization, like 99.9% of the time, the average person has had to worry about being attacked, survival, starvation, and disease and usually every day of their lives. It's only in our lifetimes that we have started to gain some sense of control over a few of these things. That's the good news. The bad news is that our advances have also left a good part of the population susceptible to bad ideas and not understanding how to take care of themselves. That sense of control may be illusory or temporary, because the old foes of human civilization are never conquered, only contained. So you're in good company with your ancestors. The peanut butter has been hitting the fan since forever. Make sure you have a poncho or two. I've noticed that most people rise to the occasion, even when they don't think it's possible.

We, not the weirdos, not the media, not the phony intellectuals who create the bad ideas, not the liars in Congress or the WH, are the big majority. The government has spent the last decades showing you clearly that they are not your friend. You can love the country and not like the government. They are abusing us. It's up to use to stop the abuse. Nobody is coming on a white horse. We just have to say no. The problem is propaganda, and lawfare, and show trials that create the illusion of powerlessness. We are not powerless. The country is run by very bad people at the moment. We need to fix that, hopefully peacefully, but I'm not becoming a slave and neither are my kids. Sorry, not sorry. Enough is enough.

Somewhat related, somewhat out of left field. This is a totally amateur prediction, and not to be construed as investment advice. The investment economy, Wall Street, real estate, other stuff like gold and bitcoin is going to go crazy in the next couple of years. While 2023 was a bad year for a lot of people economically, what happened in finance - Wall Street way up, bitcoin way up, home prices still going up, gold going up, huge contracts for sports figures, etc. We aren't at peak excitement and hysteria yet, which is how you'll know the thing is about to collapse. The Fed will lower rates this year to goose the economy for the Democrat election effort in '24. Based on what I'm reading, I think we have about 2-3 years of investment gains and then there is going to be a blow off top and a really big crash that lasts several years. Now is probably not the time to buy a new house or take on a lot of debt. If you're gonna sell property, sell into a strong market. There is going to be a massive reckoning in the markets. We just aren't there yet.
