Item 20 re: removing RFK and Jill Stein from the ballot in several states. Heck, that’s nothing. Nancy Pelosi removed FJB from the ballot in every state.

Item 29 re: the breastfeeding SS agent. This is how DEI ruins organizations. No offense to the breastfeeding mom, but you don’t belong in that job and probably shouldn’t have been hired in the first place.

MBethamn's avatar

“No offense to the breastfeeding mom, but you don’t belong in that job and probably shouldn’t have been hired in the first place.”

Go right ahead and offend her and then fire her from the job.

Shrugged's avatar

The lunatic leftists never seemed to understand that "accommodation" doesn’t negate the requirement to perform essential duties of the position. Being on-post as a secret service agent is the most basic essential duty.

She MUST be fired.

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

Words like essential duties are racist now. I think

CactusMatt32's avatar

Maybe she had already been let go - Buttigieg' SS detail quietly relieved her from the Secretary's detail.....anyone knows you can't out-produce the boss and expect to keep your job.....

tj's avatar

I am sooo glad the coffee is still brewing....

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

The problem is they get promoted

Denton Salle's avatar

We don't know that. She might be a decent agent but not when she's nursing. However, the fact that she is on active protective duty and not admin work while breastfeeding is f-ing insane. How stupid do you have to be to assign her like that?

More evidence that management in all department of the Federal government needs to be fired.

EODMom's avatar

Nah - no conscientious employee at any job does something like that. She shirked the primary responsibility of the job. Firing offense.

OldeArtiste's avatar

There's some managers that need to be imprisoned...

tj's avatar

Plus she got 2 family and the baby around security points. AND she didnt tell her on site boss she was going to breastfeed.

There are accommodations and then there is out right stupid. She should be fired for being stupid.

Adorable Deplorable's avatar

Kinda sad this even needs to be said, no?

VICKI's avatar

Every day I am getting a 5 x 7 postcard in my mailbox from RFK junie (that's what we call a junior in Appalachia) and every day, same message....fighting for women's rights to abortion, ZZzzzz. Right into the trash can.

Re: Item 29: Right answer, Jim. It is okay for a mom to self-feed her kid. But not when she's on critical national security duty. Pure DEI nonsense. If she critically needed to self-feed her kid, she could have taken sick leave to stay at home and out of this assignment. BTW, isn't the PC term "chest-feeding"? Petey B would likely insist on this. What a world we're forced to live in, eh?

Jake's avatar

The lady has gonads. To leave your post in a presidential security detail???? I can't decide if it's stupidity or guts??

John McCall's avatar

She obviously believes she is too entitled to earn her salary; likely a child of liberal boomers, in a more perfect world where the simbioism of a society working in concert with valid evonomic laws provides good jobs and good opportunities for the energetic and ambitious, her ass would be fired with no pension.her highest and best opportunity - doing least damage to others would be a wet niurse.

John McCall's avatar

Let that baby dangle from your teAt - sucking away - as you charge at those CIA-trained sacrificial stooge-assassins, a weapon in each hand, blazing away, saving the day for thr US of A!

08/17/24: "Nancy Pelosi..." OH THAT IS GOOD... (my like button is a non-functioning Secret Service agent busy elsewhere, breastfeeding the Internet)...

Just read Hillbilly Elegy, and as someone who has been snarling at literary bullsh*t for sixty years, I commend it as the real thing. I mention this because I can't get X Photos to print (I can't print X Photos) and I wanted the lewd bathroom shot as a reminder that when JD Vance was that age, as he states in H.E., yes, he was overweight (which the USMC cured. Can the Pentagon draft Madame "Cheeseburger" Goldberg on The View?).

Item 14: With men of integrity like Kelly and Walz it is amazing that the military won so many wars recently…..oh wait we didn’t. FJB

tj's avatar

We have retreated and/or been kicked out of at least 11 countries in the last 3.5 yrs. Had to evac the embassies, ended up giving Niger, and a couple others perfectly good bases (dont know about equipment) and this does NOT include Afghanistan. Really FJB

ITEM 25: UPI reported, “Secret Service will use bulletproof glass to protect Trump at outdoor rallies.”

I think the lunatics have given up on the age-old technology of shooting their undesirable opponent especially since it didn't work in Butler, PA from 130 yards - a "gimme put" in golf terms.

Considering that both Trump's and Vance's separate planes have had to make emergency landings for unexpected issues, it would be so easy to do something catastrophic to the airframe/powerplant that would look so random.

They will stop at nothing to win.

Jake's avatar

I bet there's a lot of arguments among the elite caste. Should we kill him and make him a martyr or just cheat our way in?? I think the consensus is cheat our way in like last time but you never know.

Shrugged's avatar

They have plan A, B , and C so they can shift focus between them as things develop. There is no question they have plans for massive cheating - even doing things we haven’t thought of yet. The criminal mind is alive and well in the DNC.

BubblePuppy7's avatar

Well, Trump Force One and Trump Force Two were manufactured by Woeing…

tj's avatar

Sad, really really sad.

Oh and the current CEO from Germany that runs Harley Davidson, confessed he planned on DEIing the company to death. Wont take long.

Cookie McCall's avatar

Shrugged, I pray you are wrong

Wim de Vriend's avatar

They could arrange a Prigozhin, so nobody would ever know. Except there would need to be 2 Prigozhins, since they fly in separate planes.

Item 6: imprisoning, Mr. Trump or even killing him, will work out as well for the Democrats as it did when they imprisoned Mandela or Gandhi, or killed Jesus. One of the effects of studying history is you learn from it. FJB

For a fun Saturday game count how many of the following match The News of The Week

Reynolds’ Laws
Reynolds’ First Law
“Subsidizing the markers of status doesn’t produce the character traits that result in that status; it undermines them.”

Reynolds’ Second Law
“The more a government wants to run its citizens’ lives, the worse job it will do at the most basic tasks of government.”

Reynolds’ Third Law
“Whatever politicians’ control, they will use against you to get what they want.”

Reynolds Fourth law
“Longevity of political service does not make a politician more qualified.
It only ensures they are more corrupt.”

Reynolds Fifth Law
“Proposed legislation will fail if there is not enough opportunity for graft or control”

Reynolds observations
“Matriarchies exist primarily in failed or colonized societies, or in those about to fail or be colonized.”

………………….“Under capitalism, rich people become powerful.
But under socialism, powerful people become rich.”……………………….

“Nothing that’s happened with this pandemic has made me want the government to play a bigger role in health care.”

Wim de Vriend's avatar

I'd never heard of Reynolds' Laws, liked them a lot, but couldn't find a source. Any chance you can supply one? Or is it the Instapundit Reynolds?

Wim de Vriend's avatar

Thank you. I do read Instapundit all the time, but I didn't know this part of his Oeuvre.

YCMTSU Department. Columbia's Disciplinary Committee will review the actions of anti-Israel demonstrators on campus. Two professors sitting on the committee participated in the demonstrations. The odor of sewage is almost as strong as the smell of self-righteousness emanating from the "elite" universities, also known as cesspits.

Item 9

If you have a GM car consider disconnecting On Star. This is the program that is doing the reporting and it is installed on every GM vehicle.

There are You Tube videos on how to do it.

Plus you’ll save money each month.

MikeH's avatar

The auto manufacturers are making more money selling your data than they made selling you the car. A modern car has 20 plus computers in it and keeps track of your location, speed, phone calls, texts, weight, seatbelt usage, hard acceleration and deceleration through yaw sensors, g force sensors, speed sensors, the Nav system, the Bluetooth system, the airbag system, etc. When John Baldacci was governor here, he and his state police driver were in an accident. He claimed he was wearing his seatbelt, a forensic analysis of the SRS system said otherwise.

Liberty Belle's avatar

I heard a news report that Ford is seeking a patent for technology that will not only monitor the speed and acceleration patterns of the Ford car but of cars around them. That data is to be sold to insurance companies and possibly police departments. I was already disappointed in them going all in on electric vehicles. Now they want to spy on not just their customers, but every driver on the road!

Jim Nelson's avatar

I think most car manufacturers have similar apps imbedded in their onboard computers. Hyundai calls theirs Blue Link. I stopped it when the subscription ran out.

CactusMatt32's avatar

Pretty sure ALL car makers have the data transferred, whether you have any subscription or not. It is an unending data stream of any and all data about your car as well as any cellphone data if you link up to the bluetooth. I would estimate the car companies get $5-10 a month from selling the data. You are paying $750 a month in insurance for a $50k car, and State Farm is insuring the risk of shelling out $20k for repairs or $$ in liability claims, $120 in annual data fees from $9000 in annual insurance premiums.......Win-Win!! only you just get a 'car payment' where everyone else has their hands in your pocket....

Playswithneedles's avatar

When I bought my last car in 2020, I had it custom made with a manual transmission (in my 55 years of driving, I’ve never owned an automatic.) and none of those bells and whistles like built in GPS. I just kept telling the salesman, “I don’t want that.” until we arrived at my perfect car.

Gary Blackman's avatar

It occurred to me to charge the dealer a monthly fee to retain the dealer sticker on the back of the car. It's advertising, right? If they don't agree, make them take the damned thing off.

telephoneman's avatar

my grandfather did that back in '74 on his new Ford Elite in Chicago

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

I refused to start it when I bought the car. Even when it was free

I can’t believe you said “spaz”. So misanspazoginistic.

From the river to the lake, all the Dems are fake. It’s a mostly peaceful group of Communists at the convention riot.

The first time we fought the British they wore red coats and fired muskets. Now they are pink Commies trying to fire Elon Musk. One if by tweet, two if by meme. The fact checkers are coming! The fact checkers are coming!

Loren Boebert looks pretty good after 4 kids.

APL does too. Hillary not so much. Bill needed to hit the gym. He looked like he hasn’t lifted anything heavier than a cigar in a while.

The Secret Servix sent the D minus team to Butler, messed up on every security protocol known to man and mouse, and then the local cops took out the shooter? I’m sure it’s all a coincidence. They aren’t traitors. Like Biden, who is totally not demented, at his final debate, they just had a really bad day.

On a serious note I hope Trump has somebody who isn’t trying to harm him taking care of security at this point. I trust the SS like I trust Juan Merchan and Tiananmen Timpon.

Top moment of Courage for the Week. Don Surbur choosing a Lie of the Week. #14 RFK, Jr. is correct. His father and uncle would not fit into today's Dem Party. Irony alert. RFK. Jr. is too radical to fit into the Dem Party of his father and uncle. #20. Don't you love how the Democrats save democracy by removing candidates from ballots at home and supporting the barbaric enemies of the only democracy in the Middle East? Jon Stewart, King of Fake News, has been outed as the secret author of the Kamala Harris/DNC playbook. #29. Crapper Alert: Biden-Harris, DOJ, FBI, USSS, IRS and Joint Chiefs have intentionally clogged every DC toilet. The raw sewage flowing in DC streets is overflowing into every waterway in America. Trump must invade DC with an army of plumbers and street sweepers or America is lost.

ITEM 28: CNN reported, “Supreme Court rejects Biden administration’s request to enforce new civil rights protections for LGBTQ+ students.”

Rights, whether civil rights, human rights or individual rights are a declaration, an assertion regarding equal protection before the law, equal protection under the law, irrespective. Making exceptional or exclusionary provisions for special groups calling for particular and/or specific rights not incumbent on other groups, which other groups, however defined, are not entitled, is discrimination--not civil rights.

Item 17; I can't wait, I bought plenty of popcorn. If only we could bring back Daly to order the CPD to crack some skulls.

Item 18; What's weird is how these idiots think this will bother us. Their side promotes gender neutrality, tampons in the boy's room, put a justice on the Supreme Court who can't define what a woman is, think men menstruate and women have penises so they should love the picture. Our side is sane and recognizes silly high school behavior when we see it and don't care anyways. Trying to shock and anger the squares just doesn't work anymore. The sexually deviant left demanded to be treated as normal and they are pissed that we don't care as long as they leave the kids alone.

What is sad, is the girls/women begged for years for the pay machines, not even the free ones, to be installed in the women's bathrooms. Cuz you know, accidents. Did anyone listen, NO.

Now that the tranny boys want them. The machines are all installed in the boys bathroom but I have yet to hear that they were installed in the girls bathrooms.
