"As I read the amendment, it would require approval of two-thirds of Congress to remove Biden this way. Why would Republicans do that?"

Because they are reliably stupid and their primary work product is disappointment for their base, maybe?

Shawn Farash, the famous Trump impersonator, is vehemently opposed to invoking the 25th. I'm all for it. That would put Kamala in the White House. She is, if anything, more of an embarrassment to the Dems than Joe is. It would be the final nail in the coffin of their election hopes.

Yes, for the balance of Joe’s term you are right. What about thereafter?

We must admit the Dems are strategically and tactically very smart despite their immoral behavior. They have taken all the rules of engagement for each of the three branches, turned them upside down, and are getting away with outrageous things . . . all as the Repubs sit around wondering what happened. With that said, they are smart enough to know neither Joe or Kamala can be on the ticket in November. Between today and their convention another Dem strategy will emerge. We can only guess at this point, but it will be as bold as their Mar-a-lago raid, their wide open in-your-face border, their Fauci country-wide lockdowns, their hijacking the DOJ and the rule of law, and Joe’s unconstitutional EO’s.

They have a plan ready to go and it will be a surprise when it happens.

Heck, even 50,00 or more, as many as they can jam into the buses.

It would hijack the attention off of their entire convention; meaning, it would drown out their planned slick PR presentations and staged attacks on the Right. Instead of their convention being one big advertisement for the Dems, it would be a national highlight of their complete destruction of our border.

Yes, wherever they take the levers of power they create disasters, and to a normal person it's crystal-clear why and how. But they're constitutionally and emotionally and ideologically unable to look back and ask: "Where did we go wrong?" And that's because doing so requires honesty and realism. "OH NOOOOOOooooooo!!!!!"

And the imbeciles who vote for this stuff, as life gets worse for them, they just stay convinced that they are morally superior and pretend that their standard of living and human rights aren't being ratcheted down. Look at NYC these days. Almost every day you see some new outrageous criminal activity committed by gangs of thugs imported illegally by the current regime. So of course they double down with more gifts for the criminals. Some people are masochists. Not me. If you want to be afraid all the time, vote for Democrats.

Fads die when sales reach the market saturation point. Remember Pet Rocks! EV's have reached the market saturation point. The supply of buyers willing to fork out outrageous sums for a vehicle with limited usefulness has been exhausted. Government subsidies were used to prop up sales but subsidies are not attractive to intelligent buyers. Tesla is cutting prices. Dealers are begging manufacturers to take back unsold EV's. GM dealers are refusing to spend $200,000 to equip their shops with equipment to service EV's. Toyota recognized EV's as a fad right away and refused to participate in the game. Ford and others are shutting down EV divisions and writing off investments. But here comes government to the rescue. Biden orders feds to buy thousands of EV. Georgia's legislature is planning on creating tax subsidies for EV part makers. More to follow because insanity is a hard thing to cure and government is insanity.

At age 14 his master rented him out to the owner of the steamship Planter. In the early hours of March 13, 1862 at age 22, Smalls took the Planter, his family, some co-workers and 4 harbor defense cannons past Ft. Sumter to the Union Navy and Freedom.

Item 3

There’s a guy on YouTube named Scotty Kilmer who gives advice about cars.

One of his videos from yesterday dealt with “Ford sales”.

Seems Ford counts a car “a sale” when it leaves the factory and goes to a dealer, not when a customer actually purchases a vehicle from a dealer. The “sales” figures are probably more wrong than is what they reported.

No one is buying electric Ford junk.

I believe Scotty a lot more than I would believe what Ford puts out.

Expand full comment

I've followed Scotty for years and you are right. Believe him more than any pundit or CEO. Scotty doesn't take a penny from sponsors to push their products and he doesn't mince words on what he doesn't like.

Expand full comment

I can believe that is how Ford "counts sales" because (I assume) when a dealership takes delivery of a car, the dealer owns it and it is off of Ford's books. So Ford's statement might be accurate, but now let's hear how DEALER'S sales are doing.

Expand full comment

Yes, in B2B markets, an OEM (Ford) sells to a Distributor and that cost is off their books. It is owned by the dealer. Dealers have floor plans to help them sell the vehicle before they owe payments on it.

William Coulter, may I use this opportunity to clarify where electric cars are going. They are of course going to be the toys of a very rich including an especially Elon Musk which may also end up being our salvation. Elon musk's twin winners, which also leaves out starlink and all of its satellite connections, is Tesla and the boring company. As a rabid student I'll be apocalypse, I note that having tunnels connecting high value businesses and residents are a perfect place for the general population to hide during a nuclear war. I'm not sure when but somewhere before or during Satan's thousand years or more jail sentence, it appears there's going to be a nuclear holocaust. I'm not an expert, but the London tube was used finally as a hiding place for the London populace. Since we're older we're much better students of history than Gen z, but they'll catch on eventually. Even San Francisco will deeply appreciate having the tubes that Elon builds available, although I'm sure businesses and business owners of the ultra-rich variety will whine about it. Waaa.

ITEM 1: “President Joe Biden will not be charged over his retention of government documents . . "

This ruling is about as insane as the mandated Obamacare is a tax.

Biden was VP when his garage storage system was created. That was about 10 years ago and he was fine. Moreover, if they want to look the other way regarding the inappropriate storage, how can they overlook the selling of top secrets to China? How can they overlook Hunter's access to the documents while Hunter was going to China?

The left - and leftist judges - are getting too cavalier in their double-standards. This is so IN-YOUR-FACE condescending to the American people. Rules for thee but not for me.

“Ford Reports Quarterly Loss but Says Sales Grew.” So, it wasn't just a joke then, about the guy who, when asked how he was going to stay in business when he was losing money on every widget he manufactired, claimed he was going to "make it up in volume"? Or is the joke now on Ford and its unfortunate stockholders?

And about that Hawaiian Supreme Court decision that relied, not on the Constitution but the "Hawaiian spirit of Aloha." Was it the same "spirit of Aloha" that prompted the natives of Hawaii to EAT PEOPLE? Sure, they deny being cannibals now--wouldn't you? That would be bad for tourism.

But the first western missionaries who showed up certainly noticed it and wrote it up in their journals.

Sigh. I'm going to clarify about Ford a little further. My stepson, have I mentioned this before?, works for a company in Taiwan that makes the trim lights for many many different car brands. He and his father were both design engineers for Ford. Ford had a better idea and laid off a large chunk of design engineers. They later and rather quickly regretted that decision and hired almost all of them back, but it was too late for my stepson, because he had already been scooped up by a headhunter for a German company that made headlights. Epic stories will follow at a later date. My stepson worked briefly, 6 months, for the fledgling Tesla, but he's not a personal friend of Elon because who knows why? After he was hired by the Taiwan company, which makes him nervous as hell because they expect him to come over and visit every so often, more epic stories to follow, he finally settled into a long distance romance with a rich California sheriff's daughter who is my hero. Epic story to follow at a later date. I say all of that to say this I excitedly texted him when I saw what a Ford electric pickup can do although I don't know if they continued having that feature on them One of the things that is super cool can be observed on a tank when you counterpoint the tread so that both are going pool bore in the opposite direction. It's exciting to watch this happen on a tank and it is also super cool on a Ford pickup. I texted him excitedly when I noticed it because I'm a man and I like super cool cars although I've told you before because my dad taught me how to drive like a NASCAR driver and I immediately bought a brand new VW just so I wouldn't do that, but I loved that Ford's visual spitting the tires in office directions and turning around like a 14-ft alligator in the oakey pinoki Swamp which I've seen that too. I'm going to take a break. I've had my coffee and my cat zen. Now I'm hungry.
