A year or two ago, Tucker Carlson had a story about the air traffic controllers Union, which had instituted a new "scoring system" for applicants, which (for example) gave points for having an underprivileged background and playing sports in school. Under this new system, a white guy--who had wanted to be an air traffic controller since he was a kid, and had two degrees in aeronautics-- did NOT make the cut, and was suing the Union. Tucker had his attorney on twice, but I haven't seen any reporting since about how the lawsuit turned out. (PS, this is the same air traffic controllers Union that Reagan had trouble with and broke their strike with by firing them all.)
But the article linked to this morning showed that this situation has gotten even worse.
