Highlights of the week

ITEM 1: Gannett reported, “A Missouri man with a Nazi flag planned for months to seize power and kill the president before authorities say he crashed a U-Haul truck into security barriers near the White House on Monday, according to newly released court documents.

“Sai Varshith Kandula, 19, of Chesterfield, Missouri, told Secret Service agents he flew to Washington from a St. Louis suburb on a one-way ticket after six months of planning.”

White supremacists are more diverse now than the LGBT. This happens when the FBI does the recruiting.

ITEM 2: The Jeff Bezos Post reported, “DeSantis signs law allowing him to run for president while remaining governor.”

And he immediately ran.

The story said, “The measure is part of a bill that also includes sweeping new restrictions on how third-party registration groups operate, drawing criticism from Democrats who say the legislation will negatively affect efforts to enroll more minority voters.”

This raises the question of why minority voters cannot go down to the election office and register to vote? It also begs the question, why don’t they have photo IDs?

ITEM 3: National Review reported, “Ron DeSantis Twitter Launch Was a Disaster.”

600,000 people tuned in and that overwhelmed the system.

600,000 people?

Even CNN draws more viewers.

ITEM 4: The Telegraph reported, “A poem written for Joe Biden’s inauguration has been banned for younger pupils in a Florida school after a parent complained that it carried indirect ‘hate messages.’”

Oh please.

My objection is it is a terrible poem.

ITEM 5: Undercover DC revealed, “Missouri v. Biden was filed on May 5, 2022. Since it was initially filed, it has taken quite a trip through the court system. The complaint has been amended 3 times, with the most recent Amendment being to transform the case into a class suit — due to the overwhelming evidence of broad harm to the constitutional rights of all Americans. “The complaint alleged that the U.S. Government was not only threatening and coercing social media companies to censor Americans on social media, but they were also working WITH social media companies to accomplish that goal.”

The judge is a Trump judge who was confirmed unanimously by the Senate — a rarity that reflects his good service on the state level. In short, liberty has a chance.

ITEM 6: CBS reported, “A 40-year-old man whose legs were paralyzed in a cycling accident 12 years ago can walk again thanks to implants in his brain and spinal cord.

“The brain-spine interface (BSI) has remained stable for a year, allowing Gert-Jan Oskam to stand, walk, climb stairs and traverse complex terrains, according to a study published Wednesday in the journal Nature. Oskam even regains some control over his legs when the BSI is turned off.”

Remarkable.

This will be what this week is remembered for 50 years from now.

ITEM 7: The College Fix reported, “A professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is actively recruiting 30 gender-dysphoric males to participate in a National Institutes of Health study on the benefits and consequences of testicle removal, also called an orchiectomy.”

Benefits?

Well, afterward no one can hit you in the nuts.

ITEM 8: The New York Post reported, “San Francisco Mayor London Breed and the city’s board of supervisors were forced to retreat inside after a meeting they attempted to hold in a notorious open-air drug market was disrupted by jeers, shouting and a woman who hurled a brick into the crowd, according to a report.

“On Tuesday, city leaders decided to hold the meeting outdoors in United Nations Plaza to highlight problems plaguing the area — including surging fentanyl overdoses — and to discuss potential solutions, KRON4 reported.”

I sure hope the mayor didn’t step in human poop on her way out.

ITEM 9: The Dodgers lived up to their name and re-invited a troupe of anti-Christian drag queens for the team’s homage to the 5% of the population that is LGBT.

ITEM 10: The New York Post reported, “Target has lost $9 billion in market value since angry social media users called for a boycott of the Minneapolis-based retailer over its rollout of the PRIDE collection featuring LGBTQ-friendly clothing for children.”

America is telling the store chain to go tuck itself.

I doubt the boycott of Tar-jay (or is that now Tar-gay?) will do as much damage as, say, looting the stores as part of the BLM mostly peaceful protests.

But the left is whining and that is music to mine ears. Disney, Anheuser-Busch and now Target have taught Corporate America that siding with LGBT carries a price.

ITEM 11: Jesus assisted Chief Justice John Roberts this week in writing the majority opinion in Tyler v. Minnesota. The state seized the condo of Geraldine Tyler, 94, for $15,000 in unpaid taxes and sold it for $40,000, pocketing the extra cash.

Jesus said, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God the things that are God’s.”

Roberts wrote, “The taxpayer must render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, but no more.”

The state gets the $15,000 she owed. She gets the rest.

ITEM 12: America’s News Desk reported, “Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court reportedly ruled in favor of an Idaho couple seeking to construct a home on land that the Environmental Protection Agency had designated as a protected wetland under a landmark federal anti-pollution statute.

“The Supreme Court reversed a lower court’s judgment against Chantell and Mike Sackett, which had upheld the EPA’s determination that their property near a lake contained 1972 Clean Water Act-protected wetlands.”

The vote was 9-0 — not even close.

America fought pollution 50 years ago. Let’s hold a victory parade and dump the EPA.

ITEM 13: Southern Man tweeted, “A San Francisco jury failed to find a man and woman guilty of murder charges in connection with the 2017 killing of a photographer even though the murder was captured on video. Lamonte Mims and Fantasy Decuir shot 71-year-old Edward French to death while robbing him of his camera and wallet in the early morning hours of July 16, 2017. Decuir is seen shooting French even though Mims, who is holding French, had already stolen the camera.

“Afterward the two flee, but Mims returns to grab the camera bag and is seen kicking French as he lies dying on the ground. On Monday, the jury found Mims guilty on three charges of second-degree robbery, possession of a firearm by a felon, contempt of court and two other theft charges. Jurors found Decuir guilty of two second-degree robbery charges and two other theft charges.

“The pair were acquitted on a charge of inflicting injury on an elder likely to cause great bodily injury, and the jury deadlocked on the charge of murder 10-2 in favor of guilty for both defendants. The District Attorney’s Office plans to try both Mims and Decuir again on the murder charge.”

They are black. He was white and gay. Media in San Francisco apparently downplayed or ignored the story but I was able to verify it nonetheless.

ITEM 14: The New York Post reported, “Legendary musician Paul Simon has revealed that he’s lost most of the hearing in one of his ears.”

Soon the man who wrote Sound of Silence may be unable to hear it.

We tell women to get annual mammograms but a hearing test at 40 can change your life — or 50 — or 60 — or 70.

ITEM 15: Steve Watson of InfoWars reported, “The Associated Press has been forced into quietly editing an article that repeated a statement from Target claiming that the company’s staff have been threatened, with the newswire adding a baseless claim that there have been ‘violent confrontations’ over huge collections of ‘Pride’ and transgender themed apparel in stores, including some with Satanist imagery.”

It is official. InfoWars is a more reliable news source than Hamas-shielding AP.

ITEM 16: The Daily Wire reported, “Bud Light and its parent company Anheuser-Busch are sponsoring at least three different upcoming Pride events despite backlash over the partnership with Dylan Mulvaney, a social media influencer who identifies as transgender.

“Bud Light is listed as a sponsor on the Cincinnati Pride Parade website. Planned Parenthood and the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, which medically transitions minors, are both also listed.

“Meanwhile, in St. Louis, Missouri, where Anheuser-Busch is headquartered, the company is listed as the presenting sponsor of the St. Louis Pride Parade. A sponsorship packet explains that there are only four presenting sponsor slots available. The Rainbow sponsorship tier, located below the presenting sponsor tier, requires entities to pay $25,000.”

They do not want normal people drinking Budweiser or Busch — not even normal gay guys.

ITEM 17: The New York Post reported, “House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer says an informant file that he’s seeking from the FBI links President Biden to a $5 million bribery scheme while he was vice president.

Comer (R-Ky.) revealed the size of the alleged bribe for the first time Wednesday in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, threatening him with contempt proceedings if he doesn’t share the file pursuant to a May 3 subpoena.”

I should start a GoFundMe to raise $100 million to pay Biden off to throw the election next year. Just pay him off. He gets his loot. We get our country back.

ITEM 18: Stephen Kruiser wrote, “Black Lives Matter Going Broke Is the Feel-Good Story of the Week.”

Why? The people running it got their loot and helped keep Trump from getting a second term. It served its purpose. Now they can move on to their next scam.

ITEM 19: WZZM reported, “Meet the eighth grader running a small business at West Michigan graveyards.

“Navene Town of Navene Cleans Headstones has washed nearly 150 headstones, charging $20 each. The families of veterans get these services for free.”

I never thought there was such a thing as a feel-good Memorial Day story. There is.

ITEM 20: The New York Post reported, “Jill Biden awkwardly tells audience ‘thought you might clap’ after no round of applause in Jeb Bush-like blunder.”

Bidens plagiarize everything.

ITEM 21: Agence France Presse reported, “The world's biggest warship, the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier, arrived in Oslo on Wednesday for a stopover criticised by neighbouring Russia as an illogical and harmful show of force.

“The 337-metre (1,106-foot) nuclear-powered ship sailed into the Oslo Fjord under escort, where it will stay for several days before heading to the Arctic for military exercises, according to Norwegian media.”

Don’t poke the bear.

So how much do you think the Bidens are getting to have NATO poke the Russian bear? $10 million?

ITEM 22: Newsbusters reported, “Obsessed: CNN and MSNBC Mention Trump by Name 399 Times in 10 Hours.”

There’s no such thing as bad publicity.

ITEM 23: Dr. K turns 100 today.

David M. Weinberg of the Jerusalem Post reported, “Even as he turns 100 years old this weekend, Dr. Henry Kissinger is relevant and worth listening to. World leaders continue to consult with him, and he pumps out sage book after prescient opinion column. His record regarding Jews and Israel remains controversial, but I think that on balance Kissinger deserves respect. He ended the war in Vietnam. He helped Nixon play Red China against the Soviet Union, which helped win the Cold War. He laid the groundwork for Anwar Sadat making peace with Israel.

Blessed are the peacemakers.

ITEM 24: National Review reported, “Professor Who Harassed Pro-Life Students Surrenders to Police after Threatening Reporter with Machete.”

A few weeks earlier, Hunter College fired her for confronting pro-life students and vandalizing their display.

Maybe she needs a little time out — say 5 to 10 years in a correctional facility.

ITEM 25: The Daily Wire reported, “CNN To Hold Presidential Town Hall With Mike Pence.”

If Trump drew 3.3 million viewers, then surely Pence can draw 33.

ITEM 26: Benny Johnson tweeted, “Target stock has just COLLAPSED to its lowest trading value in a YEAR with no end in sight.

“For the first time in my life, common sense Americans are standing up for themselves and committing to ACTION.

“We are the majority. We are winning. We’re just getting started.”

Target now identifies as Montgomery Ward.
