Highlights of the week

A few days ago, I used a GIF of a little girl angrily shaking a hairbrush. It is an Internet legend. The full clip — from Look Who’s Talking Now — is funnier. The girl is Tabitha Lupien. The boy is David Gallagher who plays her older brother. The movie is 30 years old.

ITEM 1: Simon Ateba of Today News Africa best summed up this week’s top story.

He wrote, “It was all a fraud, Special Counsel 's Final Report Reveals Deeply Flawed FBI Probe into Donald Trump’s 2016 Campaign. Unable to understand how Trump won, they came up with a nonsensical story that the Russians, not the Americans, elected Trump.

“It never made sense in the first place. How can the Russians be smarter than the Americans to the point that they now dictate who becomes the president here. Anyway, after years, the final report now shows that some agencies cannot be trusted and the folks at Twitter who claim that trusted sources of news should be respected have no idea what they are talking about. May God help us.”

He is close. They spied on Trump during the campaign, using the FBI to listen to his every conversation. Russiagate was their cover story. Then came the deluge of newspaper lies and investigations.

ITEM 2: Post Millennial reported, “A riot erupted in Minnesota during Democrat nominations for Minneapolis City Council on Saturday, which led to no candidate being chosen in Ward 10 after officials were forced to shut down the event over safety concerns.

“Somalian supporters of city council candidate Nasri Warsame turned to political violence and reportedly assaulted Minneapolis city council member Aisha Chughtai and her supporters when she took the stage to speak at the Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party's endorsing convention, the Star Tribune reports.”

It reminds me of a Dean Martin song that began, “When the goon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, he’s Somali.”

ITEM 3: Justice Gorsuch wrote in Arizona v. Mayorkas, which is about Title 42, “Since March 2020, we may have experienced the greatest intrusions on civil liberties in the peacetime history of this country. Executive officials across the country issued emergency decrees on a breathtaking scale. Governors and local leaders imposed lockdown orders forcing people to remain in their homes. They shuttered businesses and schools, public and private. They closed churches even as they allowed casinos and other favored businesses to carry on. They threatened violators not just with civil penalties but with criminal sanctions too.

“They surveilled church parking lots, recorded license plates, and issued notices warning that attendance at even outdoor services satisfying all state social-distancing and hygiene requirements could amount to criminal conduct. They divided cities and neighborhoods into color-coded zones, forced individuals to fight for their freedoms in court on emergency timetables, and then changed their color-coded schemes when defeat in court seemed imminent.

“Federal executive officials entered the act too. Not just with emergency immigration decrees. They deployed a public-health agency to regulate landlord-tenant relations nationwide. They used a workplace-safety agency to issue a vaccination mandate for most working Americans. They threatened to fire noncompliant employees, and warned that service members who refused to vaccinate might face dishonorable discharge and confinement. Along the way, it seems federal officials may have pressured social-media companies to suppress information about pandemic policies with which they disagreed.”

Title 42 is an emergency power the government granted itself to keep legal immigrants out in World War II.

I believe that emergency ended some time ago.

ITEM 4: AP reported, “The Pentagon has overestimated the value of the weapons it has sent to Ukraine by at least $3 billion — an accounting error that could be a boon for the war effort because it will allow the Defense Department to send more weapons now without asking Congress for more money.

“The acknowledgment Thursday comes at a time when Pentagon is under increased pressure by Congress to show accountability for the billions of dollars it has sent in weapons, ammunition and equipment to Ukraine and as some lawmakers question whether that level of support should continue.”

Part of that $100 billion we don’t have that we are giving Ukraine.

You do realize much of that money is kicked back to Congress. Taxpayers are paying to bribe our Congress into enriching Zelensky, the bastard who initiated the first impeachment of Trump.

But, hey, wear blue and yellow and tell yourself this is all about (to quote Kamala) fweedom.

ITEM 5: The Miami Herald reported, “A Florida Keys woman alleges that Island House, a decades-old resort in Key West’s Old Town, discriminates against cisgender women, transgender people and those who identify as non-binary by keeping a men-only policy for patrons.

“Amina Chaudhry, 38, of Cudjoe Key, filed her civil rights complaint last June against the resort with the Florida Commission on Human Rights.”

The gay resort claims, “We truly are a sanctuary for all men.”

So much for women’s rights.

ITEM 6: The Children’s Health Defense org bragged, “New York to Track Residents’ Food Purchases and Place ‘Caps on Meat’ Served by Public Institutions

“New York City will begin tracking the carbon footprint of household food consumption and putting caps on how much red meat can be served in public institutions as part of a sweeping initiative to achieve a 33% reduction in carbon emissions from food by 2030.”

True defenders of children’s health would beef up police patrols of subways and sidewalks.

ITEM 7: NYT yelled, “World Health Organization Warns Against Using Artificial Sweeteners.”

Aren’t these the same people who swear artificial meat is better than the real thing?

ITEM 8: Elon Musk told CNBC, “I’ll say what I want, and if the consequence of that is losing money, so be it.”

Being penniless and free is better than having money without freedom.

ITEM 9: Gabby Johnson of Blazing Saddles filled in for Uncle Fester as Fetterman returned to the Senate to ask, “That’s like if you have I mean like, eh eh and and they also realize is that that that now they have, it’s in they guaranteed, a guaranteed way to be saved, by no matter, again by no matter by by how? You know?

“So it’s it’s you know isn’t it appropriate that those kinds of, this kind of control should be more stricter?”

The problem in 2022 was Republicans did not offer articulate, healthy and well-groomed candidates. That’s the Deep State Party’s story and they are sticking to it.

ITEM 10: How’s that sanctuary city working out for you, New York?

The New York Post reported, “Migrants to be housed in 6 more NYC school gyms — outraged parents say plan is ‘just insane.’”

As with the anti-immigrant protesters in Chicago, many of the protesters are black. A race that provides one-fourth of Democrat votes is getting Woke to the replacement theory.

ITEM 11: Oscar Meyer is losing its Weinermobile. It wants to be called the Frankmobile.

This transgender fad has gone too far!

ITEM 12: WND reported, “Target has become a target for major thefts, and it's taking a huge chunk out of profits.

“The retailer estimated in its earnings release Wednesday that inventory shrinkage — mostly the theft of merchandise — would clip profits by a whopping $500 million this year. Factoring in an about $700 million profit hit from inventory shrinkage in 2022, Target is on pace to see $1.2 billion in profits go up in smoke, due primarily to organized retail crime.”

Reparations.

Looks like the $100 million Target pledged to BLM failed.

ITEM 13: WOGX reported, “Video of a fight at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom theme park has gone viral. Fists were thrown after a family asked another family to move so they could take a photo in front of the 100th Anniversary sign in front of the Magic Kingdom train, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The victims did not want to press charges, and two people were removed from the property.”

Scott Adams is right.

ITEM 14: The New York Post reported, “A longtime Disney World employee was arrested for allegedly sharing child pornography and uploading pictures of a pal’s underage daughter online — saying he wanted to impregnate her.

“Daniel Rivera, a Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts employee of 20 years, was booked at the Orange County Jail following a months-long investigation into his Dropbox account that contained several files of children under 10 having sex with adult men.”

The Verge reported, “Disney World is shutting down the Galactic Starcruiser, the immersive Star Wars-themed hotel that costs around $5,000 for a two-night stay. In an update on Disney’s website, the company says the Starcruiser will host its final guests from September 28th to the 30th.”

The Hollywood Reporter reported, “Disney Drops Plans to Build New Florida Campus.”

The chickenhawks are coming home to roost as the Disney slide continues.

ITEM 15: NYT said the Disney campus would have created 2,000 jobs.

Oh no. Florida is down to its last 10,921,800 jobs.

ITEM 16: Oli London reported, “Adidas has launched a new women’s swimwear range for the brands ‘Pride Collection’ featuring male models wearing sports bras and women’s swimsuits.”

Guys, would you date a woman with a bigger package than you have?

ITEM 16: The New York Post reported, “66 Tennessee Republicans call for release of Audrey Hale’s manifesto: ‘Don’t understand the apprehension.’”

Miss Hale was the transman who shot and killed 3 kids and 3 adults at a Christian school.

Malcolm Pollack tweeted, “Release The Trannyfesto!”

ITEM 17: Christiane Amanpour of taxpayer-funded PBS demanded that Jimmy the Weasel Comey explain why he did not censor President Donald Trump. She said this on one of her CNN shows.

The fascist said, “Of course, ‘Lock Her Up’ was a feature of the 2016 Trump campaign. Do you in, retrospect, wish that people like yourself, the head of the FBI, the people in charge of law and order had shut down that language, that it was dangerous potentially, that it could have created violence, that it kind of is hate speech? Should that have been allowed?”

Lock her up referred to Hillary violating numerous national security laws, which Comey refused to prosecute.

Journalists who would take the free speech of other deserve to be silenced.

ITEM 18: The LA Dodgers announced, “In the spirit of unity, the Los Angeles Dodgers are proud to host our 10th annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night on June 16th. This event has become a meaningful tradition, highlighting not only the diversity and resilience within our fanbase, but also the impactful work of extraordinary community groups.

“This year, as part of a full night of programming, we invited a number of groups to join us. We are now aware that our inclusion of one group in particular — The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence — in this year’s pride night has been the source of some controversy.

“Given the strong feelings of people who have been offended by the sisters’ inclusion in our evening, and in an effort not to distract from the great benefits that we have seen over the years of Pride Night, we are deciding to remove them from this year’s group of honorees.”

ITEM 19: Jim Brown, the best football player ever, died.

ITEM 22: Zero Hedge reported, “Musk has replied to news that he’s been subpoenaed in the U.S. Virgin Islands lawsuit against JPMorgan over their relationship with Epstein.”

He said, “This is idiotic on so many levels. That cretin never advised me on anything whatsoever. The notion that I would need or listen to financial advice from a dumb crook is absurd.”

Musk claims that JPMorgan “let Tesla down ten years ago, despite having Tesla’s global commercial banking business, which I then withdrew. I have never forgiven them.”

The subpoena is a reminder that the FBI now possesses all of Epstein’s blackmail files on the rich and famous. No one at the bureau wants to be Arkancided.

ITEM 23: U.S. News and World Report named Green Bay the best place to live in the whole USA.

Aaron Rodgers disagrees. New York is where he’d rather stay. He gets allergic smelling hay.

ITEM 24: Insider reported, “Carl Icahn lost $9 billion on an ill-timed short trade.”

I wish I was rich enough to lose $9 billion and not go broke.

ITEM 25: Trump 62, DeSantis 17.

Trump’s campaign is listing Alvin “and the Chipmunks” Bragg’s indictment as an in-kind contribution.

ITEM 26: Trans-servative Ben Shapiro says Trump should have fired everyone at the FBI.

Five years ago, he said Trump should be impeached if he fired Mueller.

ITEM 27: The Verge reported, “The world’s biggest ad agency no longer considers Twitter as a high risk platform now that Linda Yaccarino — NBCUniversal’s former head of advertising — is lined up to replace Elon Musk as Twitter CEO. According to sources speaking to the Financial Times, WPP-owned GroupM removed its high risk classification on Monday, and has informed its clients that the company is cautiously optimistic about Yaccarino’s appointment.”

Some conservatives freaked over the hiring but Musk is still the boss. Don’t expect her to Mulvaney this gig.
