Have a blessed Thanksgiving with your loved ones, Don, as I know you will.

I am grateful for my wonderful and loving family.

I am grateful for my health.

I am grateful we have a roof over our heads and can pay our bills on time.

And I am grateful that Wegman's is open because I forgot to buy cranberries.

Come ye Christian people come

Raise the song of Harvest home.

All is safely gathered in

Ere the winter storms begin.

GOD our maker doth provide

All our needs to be supplied

Come with GOD'S own people come

Raise the song of Harvest home.

Happy and blessed Thanksgiving to all! I’m so glad that I discovered this site and met all of you new friends. I’m grateful that we can still meet like this and enjoy our first amendment rights.

No turkey for us - we’re in Florida with family and are dining on oysters and shrimp today!

ohhh sounds good. I have an Italian MIL, sometimes we do Lasagna or something else.

My late MIL was Italian too and we always had both lasagna and turkey on Thanksgiving. She made killer stuffed artichokes too.

Good morning, all.

As I survey this dark landscape, the northern edge of the Great Sonoran Desert, I remember that dawn isn't for almost an hour yet...no wonder I can't see anything!

I woke up this morning with delightful smells wafting upstairs; from the landing between the 1st and second floors, I can look into the kitchen. My Loki has been busting it for hours now, and I see her stretched out on the couch catching some zzzz, so I quietly ease over to the stove where a largish species of avian dinosaur rests in a roasting pan. Oooooo...I resist the urge to slice off a bit of this golden brown, for I know that I would suffer a fate worse then, well, fate, as she would likely have some words for me. None of which rhyme with "Love ya, Honey".

And that's when I hear She Who Must Be Obeyed, at least Listened To. Can't quite make out what she says, over the din of the coffee maker(and my tinnitus), so I ease over for a smooch and a good morning. She was making a comment about the bird. I agreed that it looks very nice, and smells even better.

I have many things to be thankful for, today. I woke up, instead of coming to; there's a warm place to sleep, and keep my family safe; my kids are all very cool people; I have 5(!) grandchildren, the youngest of which I will get to see later, at the house where her Daddy and Mommy keep her safe; my 92 year-old Mom, and Loki's Mom and Pa will be joining us at table today. Many more things that I could list.

I don't take anything for granted these days. A wrong decision on my part could cause it all to go away, which is why each and every day I stay grateful. I found my way out through the doors of Hell over 33 years ago, into a room where people like me said, "All you have to change - is everything."

My reward is to visit a 2 1/2 year old who has found her voice, and how! And, not the least by any means, to be in the company of people who love me.

May you all have a blessed day with your families and beloved friends.

Item ** I notice in the news that they are reporting there is a credible threat from the Iranians to assassinate President Trump. I suspect that Biden is doing worse than we could imagine and they can’t print enough votes. I guess the CIA is planting their cover story since they can’t exhume Lee Harvey Oswald on the 60th anniversary of Kennedy’s assassination.

Too many people paying attention now and more and more of the shenanigans of 2020 coming out albeit very very slowly.

Sadly, when there’s no accountability for anything in government, such as the Afghanistan debacle, the deep state can get away with murder, literally and figuratively.

You, Sir, keep writing like today’s sermon and statues will begin to spring up all around The United States of America. Not of marble, rather, tall in hearts and minds, and by such nature, will endure and prevail despite the spiritual poverty we see all around us.

I thank God for my bounty of spirit and clarity of mind to recogize how blessed to have family around me today, bolstered by freedoms to read such as you have demonstrated a freedom and ability to write.

Bless you Poca-Man for leading with the S. Sarandon lesson on sanity. My first take is to offer ss and her like minded travelers a one-way ticket to Iran or Pakistan /no returns accepted but then I remember border security under bidet and mayorkas.Don thank you for a work of art on a day of gluttonous dining to be followed by regrets of second plates.Thank you again and Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your Surberites.

We already had our Thanksgiving in early October. (Seems like ages ago now.) I like the idea of saying what you are grateful on Thanksgiving and every day, too.

Blessings to everyone.

To all my American Brotha’s and Sista’s…

May you have a Joyous, Healthy and Family Filled Thanksgiving. And by next year at this time may we all have more Good News than we do this one.

#14…I now feel sorry for Ron. He shouldn’t probs be Prez anyway just based on the fact that he is listening to some Hack about his chances. And what about coughing up $100K to the Preacher only to have him blab the first chance he got…somehow or another, bad decision making RdS!

Don, have a great Thanksgiving. Keep writing and I’ll keep reading. Just a note here. If it was in Putins best interest to kill Zelensky, he would be dead now. It’s not, at least for now. Mr. Zelensky is just a useful tool and will be gone when there is nothing left in Ukraine to sacrifice for his greed and ego.

Item 1: I was pretty sure Asra Nomani lives in N. VA now.

WV might be where she might have lived previously?

Item 9: The article has been taken down in Japan Today!

I wonder if it was getting too much LGBT HATE and caved to the pressure?! 😱

But the other articles are interesting to glance at and see how they’re covered, and especially see how they are commented on.

Item 10: Adams seems to have been targeted because he DARED to criticize the current “regime's” ‘failed’ immigration policy. Kinda ironic.

Item 12: We should all hope that DEI being steamrolled out of IA is one more example of a tidal wave of it happening all across America - AND THE WORLD!

Items 13 & 14: Poor Nikki and DeSantis. Primaries are a good thing but this is getting painful to watch.

Item 16: (Same as Item 12 but for “climate change". Celebrate!!)

Item 23: Maybe Trump will ask Sen Kennedy (R - LA) to be his running mate. That would be must-see tv!

THANK YOU DON SURBER for your daily dose of wry humor and never-flagging "America First" support!

It’s hard for me to find much else to be grateful for in today’s world but I’m thankful for your input!
