Anyone but Obama—-please wipe this stain off of our history, make him leave DC, get out of politics and out of public life. I never want to hear his name or his voice again. “The scandal free presidency”—-what a joke. And in the end, his worship of celebrities has backfired as Clooney threw him under the bus. Is it finally over?? Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

The guy (Obama) was a lie from day one.... anyone with half a brain could see that. And yet "hope and change" and his smug attitude prevailed as the brain dead voters brought him on in to the oval office. I have a way of classifying people like Obama. If he lived next door would I "hang" with him. No way. I would be polite and wave as in "high neighbor" but hang out??? .... nope. If Trump were a neighbor it would be ... come on over pal and have a beer; an American beer; and not a Bud product. Coors the Banquet Beer works; not the light version of course. That would not work.

WE failed by letting get this bad.

Where were we when they stopped teaching history, real math, and science and inserted all these socialist subjects and policies?

The people, moms and dads, American citizens and taxpayers, are largely to blame for sleepwalking while they crept in and took over.

It’s only been in recent years that parents and citizens even dained to go to Board of Ed meetings to speak out about some of these more egregious policies and efforts to brainwash our kids.

We let it get this far, and now it’s up to us to restore it to sanity.

The press, the lame stream media et al did abuse their power repeatedly and over and over again.

They lied about everything. The covered up obvious crimes and behaviors of the entire Biden crime family.

In short because of what we know now they are just unbelievable. You can’t believe what they say or print because they lied and lied and lied and once you lie you can’t be believed by anyone with a brain again.

“ The media lost its power not because it abused that power but that they got sloppy.”

I have to disagree with this statement. They most certainly lost their power because they abused it, and in the process lost any semblance of credibility. And they abused that privileged power in some of the most flagrant, arrogant and egregious ways ever conceivable - and are still doing it to this day! They’ve lied straight to our faces about literally everything and have never, ever rescinded even one of those lies.

They abused the trust of every single American, a trust which is the most essential element of the very institution they profess to represent, and in so doing have utterly destroyed it laid it waste, along with themselves in the process.

They have aided and abetted literal crimes and criminals, even while in they were in the act of the crime! That makes them accomplices. That makes them criminals. There is no coming back from that.

If there is ever to be some form of mainstream media again, it will not, cannot, must not include any of these same people or organizations who were responsible for such an ignominious demise.

They’ve lost that privilege in the most disgraceful and disreputable and shameful of ways ever imaginable.

These old forms of media and news reporting must be shuttered.

The people now have new means and sources of getting their news and information they need, that are important for them to know about, untainted and unbiased.

Legacy media is dead. It just hasn’t realized it yet. How typical.

Expand full comment

I don't see an influence of $$$$-- I think she just came to live in the liberal Manhattan bubble and did not stay abreast of the times--did not read broadly with the modern technology of the Internet, and realize what was actually going on in the country.

I, too, liked her alot in the beginning. But there's an old saying that as some people age, they sometimes become "caricatures of themselves". Meaning, they get lazy/sloppy, and double-down on their "virtues" and neglect fixing their weaknesses, to the point that what HAD been their "virtue" now is practically a club they continually beat people in the head with. That's a harsh way of putting it, but in a nutshell, Peggy Noonan did not continue to develop, and stayed stuck in the world of the 1980's.

Let the ultra-rich have their toys, just don’t make us pay for them (see school loans). Roughly 50% of Americans indicate they are unlikely to purchase an electric vehicle (EV) as their next car, primarily citing concerns about charging infrastructure availability and high costs as major deterrents. 50% of current EV owners concerns regarding charging infrastructure, cost, and range limitations as key reasons for not buying another EV.
