Russia eventually threw the Communists out. But inch by inch, all American Power Centers were infiltrated by Communists, all the Agencies, all of DC, schools, colleges, Media, Internet, major cities and states.

Here we sit, dead in the water, with the implied threat of U.S. Government employees with guns at the ready to pick us off, one-by-one.

And Biden's Handlers have put the Curse of uncontrolled Immigration into damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you don't. Bringing them in has a horrendous cost, gathering them up and sending them out is at least as costly. All from a purse with a gaping hole in the bottom.

Lack of philosophically cogent and economically rational governmental policy over the previous decades coupled with rampant self serving corruption has transformed the USA into an empty moral and unethical shell well down a suicidal path that has wasted the wisdom that our founding fathers working through what must be a Divine Inspiration birthed us with. Hard times produce good men. Good men produce good times. Good times produce weak and foolish men who wasted our promise with arrogant self-serving narcissicism.

I wish I had said every one of those words. Next best will be to put it on a slip of paper and hand it to the teacher Sunday as we talk about Israel's forced march to Babylon. Also known as the USA Analogy. Thanking JMc in advance.

My pastor spoke yesterday about how good times can corrupt and dismiss God’s role in them. He used Gideon as an example. He forgot his success was his doing. Wrong!

Attn: All Surb junkies-If you get withdrawal pains on Sunday, try The Gateway Pundit. Excellent article on Kevmc, and the comments are spot on. If you want to comment, you need DISQUS. ICYMI: McCarthy Says He Doesn't Want to Be Part of Republican Team After Passing Continuing Resolution | The Gateway Pundit | by Jack Davis, The Western Journal

Expand full comment

McCarthy should hide his RINO ass in shame. We need pols who are going to take the conservative route. If McCarthy doesn't understand that, perhaps his wife can put him in a diaper, get him a nursing bottle and let him watch "The View" to his hearts content. McCarthy had his chance and has proven to be just as worthless as everyone said he was. Mea Culpa!

Expand full comment

He has a wife? Is there one woman on the face of the earth who can settle for, not less, but actually nothing in exchange for a ring?! McCarthy is the Aaron Rodgers of the U.S. Government. All big talk when he managed to beg his way into the speaker's chair. When game time came around, WHOOSH. "Gee, maybe Kenny O'Brien wasn't so bad after all!" I agree with Emerald Robinson -- there is NO SUCH THING as the "Republican party."

Expand full comment

Remember when he promised to release all the J6b video? He's a typical congressional bullshitter. I hope Gaetz nails his ass. And, as always, never, ever trust a Republican.

Expand full comment

I agree. But the question is, who will replace McCarthy? The party is in an overload condition with wimps who let Dems tromp all over them. We need a powerhouse holding the gavel. HOWEVER...the speaker does not have to be an elected official. The constitution says: "The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers," That being the case, could Speaker Trump be a possibility? He would not only straighten things out, the house would impeach Biden and HeeHaw and Speaker Trump would become president. Excuse me while slap myself in the forehead. Musta been a dream.

Gaetz-makes bigger deal w/dims, wins, and XX them. I'm confused, but I thought the dims wanted the shutdown so they could blame the pubs (see Jamaal).

Had anyone of us pulled that fire alarm, we'd be sent to Leavenworth!

Expand full comment

This is a weird, unprecedented (AFAIK) situation. We do, indeed, live in interesting times. Gaetz wants to remove the Speaker, as do many of us, but he has declared that he has no interest in taking his place. OK, fine. Then who? I would go for Ana Paulina Luna, Lauren Boebert, Nancy Mace, even MTG. There are some others, most of whom have appeared on Bannon's War Room. Any of them would be brutal, which is exactly what we need.

Expand full comment

Apparently, Jamal has a fire-alarm fetish (never has anyone ever been in such a hurry to drop into Nancy Pelosi's office). See the Frazier episode where Frazier ends up in the apartment of a nice-looking, wanton lady who only wants to cheat on her husband if there's a chance she can get caught --- whose husband drops in, having been paroled from jail. He's big, mean and Yow-Zah!

Yes, I understand that the theme falls apart because who would want to have an affair with the "Let's-pull-the-fire-alarm!"-climax if the only available ladies are the ones currently in Congress? (the fetish theme goes to Creepy-Platinum if anyone responds, "Well, there's always Feinstein!")

Gaetz will do nicely. We're past the point of no return. Hell, who can assume that there will even BE an election on 11/05/24, when 48 hours prior to this scheduled event, all hell breaks loose.

Any way you want to paint it, we are quite literally undergoing an invasion, and one filled with unknown people from just about every country in the world.

The UN, along with an army of NGO’s, including the Red Cross and Catholic Charities, amongst many others from around the world, are illegally aiding and abetting this invasion.

It is a National Security nightmare, which hasn’t even begun to reveal what dangerous and destructive effects it has yet to bring upon this country.

Frightening.

Anyone remember the ‘Mariel Boat Lift’ in the last half of 1980…The Cubans didn’t send us their best either. All we really got out of it was ‘Scarface’ and some great lines…’Hey Frank you know what a Hazzar is?’

Expand full comment

But there’s also no way to avoid cleaning up the voting process— because without it you will NEVER have any form of government where the people have a say.

We already HAVE a good system of government, we just haven’t been watching our voting processes like we should have and safeguarded them. We KNOW who will be elected President in a fair election. Fair elections would resolve 75% of the problems in the country.

It’s the nitty gritty work of waking up the still-willing-to-be-decent Democrats to the fact that our elections have less audit controls than a beauty pageant—which at least for years was audited by Price Waterhouse.

There’s millions of us. We have to keep communications open with the segment of Democrats that are convertible. Keep this issue front and center nationally. Get one-day, paper ballots, voter ID, and audit procedures. Etc.

The CPA profession could be a big help in this, but they are so introverted and conservative by nature that they almost never speak up about anything, and when they do it is mealy-mouthed.

Before anyone gets too thrilled with Abbott's actions, look into what's going on down in Texas relative to "Colony Ridge." It's a gigantic, by which I mean 60 square miles, illegal immigrant "real estate development," owned by a fellow named William "Trey" Harris, who is a big donor to Abbott. Nothing to add to today's excellent post, Brother Don!

If ever a poll question needed an option, 'None of the above', it is today's. Deferring to the native Texans among my fellow readers, and speaking only for me, a resident and citizen of Texas, Abbott is no hero.

Setting aside he was among the first to rescind his own draconian measures - he was as knee-jerk as any blue-state governor in shutting down countless small businesses and allowing county judges to threaten citizens with incarceration if not compliant with mask mandates (and other means of control) while exempting himself and his family (I'm looking at you, Clay Jenkins, you serpent).

Abbott is little more than a tool of the state of Texas GOPe, Dade Felon's (h/t to Richard White) chief sponsor in the legislature.

What I want to know from Wheels is: What the hell took you so long to get serious about the border, and dispatch the national guard? What the hell took you so long to put razor-wire floats in the middle of the Rio Grande?

There is no least bad option from which to choose - all are equally horrendous.

One thing we can say, the woke-prog-left hates truth-tellers--like Trump. And especially after-the-fact, as in "I told you so." Reality always raises its head--it gets a vote, no matter how much the ballot box is stuffed, in the end it prevails. The devil in the details is how high a price the people must pay until the truth wins out.

As in the old Fram oil filter ads: "You can pay me now or pay me later."
