DJT’s overwhelming victory has re established my faith in the American system and its electorate. This country has rejected Lawfare and insane policies that were designed to destroy our economy and culture. Perhaps trust in government agencies may once again return and now everyone knows that the legacy media will never again be trusted.

We are awfully far away from restoring faith in the American system with the likes of Mitch McConnell planning the first anti MAGA coup as early as this Wednesday.

I have been perplexed at the irreconcilable conflict between Kentucky electing both Trump and McConnell by similar margins. Not to mention Beshear. Are those people schizophrenics? Suffering from multiple personalities? Stupid? All of the above?

Not to mention the people who voted for Trump, but not down ballot Republicans. You have to wonder what they think the point is of having Trump in the White House with a congress bent on shutting down his agenda, or worse. The ignorance of much of the electorate explains why we end up governed by corrupt morons like Biden, McConnell and Pelosi.

"Perhaps trust in government agencies may once again return".

I never had a problem trusting the local DMV or the dog pound, but to make a claim this all-encompassing is over the top. Start with the government agency that's closest to American parents: the local School Board. Can it be trusted NOT to push boys disguised as girls into girls' sports and bathrooms? Can it be trusted to inform the parents when their child exhibits delusional behavior, like imagining himself or herself the opposite sex? Can it be trusted NOT to push pornography and anti-American propaganda?

Or should we go higher up and resume trusting the FBI, despite all its devious shenanigans? Or the "Health" propagandists who toed the Fauci line? Or the Federal Reserve, which kept interest rates too low for too long? And don't get me started on the the Injustice Departments, whether federal or state, with their political prosecutions.

No, what needs to happen is to recall Thomas Jefferson's warning that "The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground" -- Waaaay back in 1788, no less. And in 1824 already: "... we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious." And this in 1821: "The multiplication of public offices, increase of expense beyond income, growth and entailment of a public debt, are indications soliciting the employment of the pruning knife."

The pruning knife, or better yet, the wood chipper, needs to be started in DC.

The reason the federal government is broken is that it has been used as a giant jobs program by mostly the Democrat party to assure a voting base. It is so bloated with employees it is almost not able to operate today in most agencies. Not my words, those of two of my friends who work there. It is rife with political incompetence. So many agencies have too many employees and that results in them "looking for things to do and non-agency agendas to follow". This is precisely how the Democrats have managed to blow up climate change into the program it is today. Too many agencies have been infiltrated with green-huggers, and they have brought some of them to such a standstill that virtually nothing happens without the greenies okay or direction. The US Forest service is one of them but there are many. The paring knife needs to be used to get rid of broad portions of some agencies. The country will benefit for generations.

Expand full comment

Amen. This problem of 90% of the government employees being Democrats has been building for decades. You know it's heavily stacked with DEI folks. It is sick, sick, sick that the District of Columbia population itself is 90% Democratic. Plus the Blue-stacked court system. Many fixes needed here, Elon will have fun. Milei can give him tips on chainsaw operation. Plus the law needs to be changed to eliminate the government employee unions. We have the perfect justification to withstand any court challenge over layoffs and overriding the unions--America is literally in bankruptcy and cannot afford all these employees.

Moving many of the agencies to other parts of the country will help too.

Expand full comment

The entire reason the federal District of Columbia did not have a vote was this. They would be bias. Perhaps ALL federal employees should be restricted in their vote. He is not a good person and his mantra has always been "Biden first, the country and friends second". Until the Dems realize it is their ideology that lost, not just Harris, they will be a dysfunctional party. Very soon, people are going to start asking very pointed questions such as "where did the $1B in campaign cash go, who got it, and why are they $20m in debt?". A great number of people got very wealthy off her campaign and the party got little to nothing for it. Trump won the election with a LOT of diligence and hard work. He held hundreds of rallies over the years and had tremendous get-out-the-vote efforts for Republican demographics that traditionally didn't bother to vote. We defeated the Dems. Their missing 16 million fake ballots stayed home.

The enemy is a lot bigger than the Dems alone. Our next battle in this war is to overcome the "McConnell wing" of Congress. Together, the Dems and the McConnell wing can stymy a short four year term. And it's only two to the mid-terms where they will try to at least take the House.

I love what's coming for our country under Trump 2.0, but our enemy has doubled in size.

Both of these HAD seemed like big hurdles, but they did indeed happen. Also, the Trump wing of the party is the one that has "doubled in size" (or at least is growing significantly, with blacks, hispanics, many more women than expected, etc.).

All of these steps were powerful blows at the RINO's. It is getting harder and harder for them to stand. Though they appear to be standing, this is actually their last stand.

But, if he (and Trump) think we should create a new agency (D.O.G.E.) to audit the inefficiency of too many agencies, that should be a sign something is amiss. We don’t need a new agency for anything. All we need is a full audit on these mostly unconstitutional agencies.
