British newspapers reported this weekend that President Donald John Trump plans to throw the biggest party ever on July 4, 2026, to celebrate the 250th anniversary — the semiquincentennial — of the founding of the United States.
The American press ignored the announcement as reporters were too busy showing their expertise on Kremlin politics, just days after showing their similar ignorance about deep sea submersibles.
The Mirror reported, “President Donald Trump has vowed to throw a year-long party to mark the country's 250th birthday — also referred to as the semiquincentennial — should he be elected to serve a second term of office next November.
“July 4, 2026, will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence in 1776, with Trump promising a big celebration ‘for everything we've gone through.’
“The 77-year-old made the pledge on Saturday during a speech at the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Conference in Washington, D.C.”
This was the same conference that booed Chris Christie. He’s most famous for closing the beaches as governor over a July 4th holiday — and then parking his fat ass on the beach. (Eye wash alert for the photo in the link.)
Trump respects Independence Day.
He told the conference that such an event will “restore pride in our history and confidence in our future.
“And we’re going to have a big celebration. And it’s going to be a celebration like we really deserve in this country for everything we’ve gone through. With you at my side we will give our nation’s founding the amazing anniversary party that America needs and so richly deserves.”
This seems impossible now. The nation is too divided. Schools have indoctrinated two generations of students with anti-American propaganda. LGBTQQIAAP2S+ has replaced patriotism when it comes to pride.
We will never have anything like the bicentennial celebration of 1976, right?
But to know where we are, we have to know where we were.
50 years ago, it was 1973 not 1976. The deep state sabotaged a popular president — Richard Nixon carried 49 states a year earlier — with Watergate. America had just lost its first war at a cost of 58,000 good men; 30% were draftees.
The Supreme Court created a right to abortion, dividing the nation nearly evenly.
Yet the nation trudged on to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The planning began in 1966 under LBJ. Like everything else involving Johnson, the commission he created was corrupt.
After seven years, Congress and President Nixon scrapped that commission.
Gerald Ford’s presidential library reported, “The United States Congress had previously established the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission (ARBC) in 1966 to organize the Bicentennial celebration. The ARBC was criticized, however, for showing excessive political bias and commercialism.
“As a result, Congress replaced the ARBC with the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration (ARBA) in 1973. ARBA focused on supporting and coordinating state, local, and private celebrations, with around 66,000 recognized events in total. There were picnics, ceremonies, presentations, and numerous other festivities across the country. One of the most significant events was the Bicentennial Wagon Train Pilgrimage, in which volunteers from every state traveled Eastward over historic trails in covered wagons.
“Bicentennial celebrations were not limited to the U.S. An exhibition titled The World of Franklin and Jefferson first opened in Paris, France, before travelling throughout Europe and the U.S.
“The Bicentennial was also commemorated by two official state visits. In May 1976, President and Mrs. Giscard d’Estaing of France visited the United States in recognition of the history of friendship between the two countries. As a gift to the US, President d’Estaing presented a Sound and Light show at Mount Vernon.
“Two months later, in July 1976, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip of Great Britain toured Philadelphia, the District of Columbia, Virginia, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. On behalf of the British people, the Queen gifted to the United States the Bicentennial Bell, a replica of the Liberty Bell that hangs at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.”
Plenty were the celebrations on July 4, 1976, but the most memorable one was the Tall Ships arriving in New York Harbor. It became the signature event of the bicentennial. A city that was broke financially and spiritually rose to the occasion, as one would expect from the nation’s first capital. Yes, Washington was sworn in as president in New York, not Philadelphia.
This impressed Donald Trump. He was 30 years old. He was about to ignore his old man’s advice and begin building in midtown Manhattan, a place other developers were fleeing. The streets were too filthy with prostitutes and X-rated movies dominating parts of Gotham. Perhaps that bicentennial inspired him to save the city.
Now as Trump seeks to celebrate our 250th anniversary, we see New York City — which he and Rudy Giuliani had saved — has reverted back to form. Subways no longer are safe. Stores are ransacked. The only thing missing are the hookers.
We as a nation also have lost our enthusiasm as the political scandals just wear us out. What is to celebrate? The federal government is like Santa Claus in that in knows when you are sleeping and it knows when you’re awake. Be good not for goodness sake but to avoid being hauled into court as an insurrectionist.
The deep state? Try the Mariana Trench state.
Repeatedly, the media preaches that we had a good run as the average empire lasts 250 years. I don’t know where that number came from but the Romans lasted 1,000 years, the Byzantines lasted 1,000 years and many of China’s various dynasties lasted almost as long. That is loser talk from our psy ops media.
Certainly it is fitting that we must prepare to celebrate the nation’s birth under stressful circumstances. Less than a third of the nation wanted to rebel. They did so amid a smallpox epidemic. And they faced the greatest military in the world, although Britain sent its rump army that relied on Hessian mercenaries.
Trump is showing leadership in trying to rally the country behind the flag. Not the Pride one. Not the BLM one. Not the Ukrainian one.
No, the real American flag.
I suggest that all the Republican candidates — even Chris Christie and the one that likely is a CIA plant — take up this cause because the celebration will be uplifting.
Besides, it is the right thing to do.
The bicentennial was a big blowout by a troubled nation which truly believed tomorrow would be better. Let the semiquincentennial celebration be even better.
In order for T to have this Blowout Party he has to be elected (re-Elected). Unless he (and by extension ‘we’) have an alternative plan to pull this off beyond ‘Ballot Harvesting’, don’t run out and spend a lot on your party outfit.
If you think, we were bamboozled in 2020, just you wait. The D-Rats have been ‘War Gaming’ this ever since that old criminal retard crawled out of his basement and all I see and hear from our side is ‘We was Robbed’!
I look forward to the party but will only be celebrating if a conservative is in the White House. That would be a victory to celebrate. I can't imagine it will be much of a country with anything to celebrate if a leftist lunatic still lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
