The news site Axios promised its readers, “Trump's 2025 vision, revealed.”
I am not sure why it inserted the comma but then again, I do not know what the story actually revealed. The reporter — Sophia Cai — neither talked to the president nor did she quote his public statements much. She just speculated and exaggerated his positions. In other words, she did the same piss-poor reporting that one has come to expect from the DC press corps. She will fit in well when the Bezos Post or NYT come calling. She checks off two boxes (Asian American and woman).
What Cai did reveal was the 2024 version of Orange Man Bad. Spoiler alert: They will call him a fascist again.
She wrote in her first paragraph, “Former President Trump's second-term governing plans are coming into clearer focus, as he lays out a vision for a dramatic expansion of federal power — particularly the presidency.”
In her penultimate paragraph (second to last), she wrote, “Reality check: Many of Trump’s ideas are outlined in broad strokes, without details of how they’d be implemented or funded.”
So she revealed nothing because he has not revealed anything and she hasn’t called him up to get him to reveal anything.
Her report is clear BS — Babbling Speculation.
Small wonder that on Tuesday, the National Pulse reported, “A majority of likely U.S. voters — 59% — believe the media are ‘truly the enemy of the people,’ according to a recent survey by Rasmussen Reports. The quote is taken from a 2019 Donald Trump tweet.”
59%.
The last president to get 59% of the vote (actually 61%) was Richard Nixon in 1972.
My point is, Americans seldom agree on anything in politics, but in this case we agree that not only is the press bad but it is undermining America. Whilst the press believes getting in bed with the FBI (CBS broadcasts a three-hour block of FBI propaganda in prime time each Wednesday night) provides indemnity, the fact is selling one’s soul has a price that many in the media will pay in many unsettling ways.
The Axios story is a good example of why most Americans see the press as the enemy of the people.
Cai wrote, “In public statements, videos and posts on his campaign's website, Trump complains about Washington's ‘swamp’ — but lays out a plan that would give him, as president, more control of virtually every facet of life in America.”
But the government already has control over every facet of life in America.
For example, the Biden administration wants to ban gas stoves, which are the safest and cheapest way to cook. Oh, not his gas stoves. I am sure the White House will continue to cook with gas.
The government is hellbent on banning gasoline automobiles. You will get no choice. And good luck finding parts or even oil filters for that gas-powered car in 20 years, which is just as well because gas stations will be far and few between. When the electric grid finally collapses under the weight of electric cars, trains and stoves, the movie Mad Max will become a way of life.
A Democrat Congress passed a law late last year that mandates that manufacturers install a kill switch that the state can use to stop cars, Steven Symes of Motorious reported. That is a means of silencing whistleblowers and dissidents. Forget Arkancide. Biden will use Our Carcide on you if you vote for Trump.
What is the next frontier for Biden’s control of every facet of your life?
AP reported, “Car seats and baby formula are regulated. Is social media next?”
The story said, “The U.S. surgeon general is warning there is not enough evidence to show that social media is safe for children and teens — and is calling on tech companies, parents and caregivers to take ‘immediate action to protect kids now.’
“With young people’s social media use ‘near universal’ but its true impact on mental health not fully understood, Dr. Vivek Murthy is asking tech companies to share data and increase transparency with researchers and the public and prioritize users’ health and safety when designing their products.”
Maybe its true impact is turning kids into LGBT freaks.
But in Axiosworld, Trump is the threat.
Cai also was upset that President Trump will pardon most J6 dissidents who were sentenced to up to 47 years (in one case) for a noisy protest inside the Capitol.
But presidential pardons are a constitutional duty of the president aimed at correcting injustices such as black heavyweight boxing champion Jack Johnson’s conviction in 1913 for having sex with a white woman on a train from Pittsburgh to Chicago. More than 100 years passed before Donald Trump stepped up to the plate and pardoned Johnson.
The NAACP never thanked him.
Cai’s article revealed how out of the loop she is. For example, she wrote, “He's vowing to get rid of ‘Marxist prosecutors’ and create an auditing system to monitor U.S. intelligence agencies ‘to ensure they are not spying on our citizens.’”
Is she the only person in America left who does not realize Obama’s FBI spied on Trump while he was running for president?
More likely, she was being disingenuous. Certainly she was less than honest when reporting Trump’s plans to stop the sexual mutilation of minors.
She wrote, “He wants DOJ to investigate Big Pharma and the big hospital networks to determine whether they have ‘deliberately covered up the long-term side-effects of sex transitions.’ He also wants to boot hospitals or providers from Medicaid and Medicare if they offer gender-affirming care.”
Castrating a boy is no more gender-affirming care than lobotomies are. The scientific consensus is nonsense. In 1949, António Egas Moniz received a Nobel Prize for pioneering the prefrontal lobotomy; psychosurgery was all the rage in those days. Of course it is the rage now, too, as these butchers tell parents their kid will commit suicide if they are not spayed and neutered. Their motto is better a live daughter than a dead son. I want grandchildren, so dump the eyeliner and the dress, junior.
As for overseeing sex-change operations, presidents have been doing that for 42 years.
The Washington Post reported on May 30, 2014, “The Obama administration on Friday ended a 33-year ban on Medicare coverage for gender reassignment surgery — a major victory for transgender rights and a decision that is likely to put pressure on more insurers to provide coverage for such services.
“The ruling by a Department of Health and Human Services board was in response to a lawsuit filed last year on behalf of Denee Mallon, 74, a transgender woman and army veteran from Albuquerque.
“The blanket Medicare ban was put in place in 1981 when such surgeries were considered experimental. But now most medical groups, including the American Medical Association and the American Psychological Association, consider it a safe option for those suffering from gender dysphoria, a condition that is characterized by intense discomfort — or incongruence, according to the official definition — with one’s birth sex.”
Given that Obama mandated that insurance companies give women birth control, the president now has the ability to ban insurance coverage of sex changes.
And therein lies the real fear of Washington of a second Trump administration. He now realizes the enormity and array of the powers of the president. He will do to the EPA, Medicare and the rest what he did to the Supreme Court by making America’s government work for the people and not DC insiders.
In short, he will use his powers for the people, not their enemies.
TRUMP 2024.
Going forward I will be asking this on a regular basis “Has the Secret Service removed the gas stoves from the White House to protect the President yet?”
"The last president to get 59% of the vote (actually 61%) was Richard Nixon in 1972."
Not arguing, but how does an incumbent gain 12M voters and lose? 2020 was prolly more than Nixon, but that is the 'beauty' of ballots that are not signed...
Hell, even Jimmy Dore is broadcasting that hundreds of feds were instigating J6... I need to call my wife and tell her I love her as the world is ending :-D
