Trump 2024.

But we have to solve the election fraud issue. It’s a thing. And if not fixed, which looks unlikely , the outcome is predetermined.

And the GOP doesn’t want to solve it. They have a vested interest in the status quo, which means better to lose to Dems than win with Trump and MAGA.

Nothing tells me McDaniels and the rest of the RNC are playing for first place. They got their record fundraising pot so they gauge voter enthusiasm on dollar amounts and that is a fools errand.

Great article, but perhaps a little heavy on the abortion angle. Rs are going to have to figure out positive pro-life messaging that does not turn off voters.

Agree, LuAnn, but to be fair, the pro-death party poured a lot of money into it. That's about all they've got left to draw any voters.

Scott Adams came up with a theory why that statement is true. The system in place is the one that got all the republicans elected, too. They are not really motivated to worry about the republicans that were screwed by that system.

I would like to add that they have gotten used to the idea that Dems cheat. It’s who they are. Sad, sad, sad.

Kentucky looks like it leads the nation, Tanto. Cameron got 626,000 votes. Other Republicans down ballot got 783,000 votes. 781,000 votes, 752,000 votes 734,000 votes. That's just not possible.

Very sadly, IMHO last night's results don't bode well for repubs as the dems have shaped abortion as a vote driving issue and they control the ballot boxes as in 2020.

Expand full comment

The problem from last night I think is not just abortion, which is troubling in and of itself. It’s also that most of us who vote Republican don’t think much of the Republican Party or its corrupt leadership. Hard to get enthusiastic for an organization that hates its voters. So you got low turnout. It’s not complicated. Treat people like crap and they vote with their feet. Just my two cents.

Expand full comment

I concur fully. And while I can sympathize with people’s abhorrence with our feckless Republicans, not voting at all is tantamount to willful suicide in my book.

What needs to be different across the board is people not just voting, going home and expecting miracles but after voting, to stay involved and actively working to get what we need done - to be a thorn in the side of your Representatives. It’s still a crapshoot as they barely listen anyway, but far better than putting a Demoncrat in there who’s guaranteed to make your life a misery.

Frustrating but for now it’s all we’ve got.

Expand full comment

I don’t disagree. But my wife and I have done just that. And it’s extremely frustrating. The RINOs are a cancer. They pull strings from behind the curtain. They aren’t moderates. They are a fifth column for the Democrats when it suits them.

We need a third party. Whatever happened to the Tea Party? Trump should have started a MAGA party, probably a better name would be Patriot Party. The Republican-RINO party has roots too deep to dig up and will not change. Why should conservatives participate at all?

Or America First- The Tea Party lacked enough Patriots. This time around, all the Rhinocrats have been identified, and America has never had a clearer choice for the next election.

Expand full comment

I come from a multi-party system. I like it.

Expand full comment

No difference between the two - the result is the same - genuine Democrat, or one that lies and claims to a Republican?

Expand full comment

It’s not all we’ve got—there’s tons we can very effectively do if we get involved with (and even ourselves replace) the RINO’s in the county, state, and national RNC party apparatus.

The problem is, the RNC raises money (from us), and then sits on this cash and doles it out only to RINO candidates (as McConnell horribly did); or it doles it out to good patriotic candidates—but cripples them with requiring a certain amount of obedience when they get to Washington in return for the money (see recent example of John James, of Michigan).

We need to break the RNC’s grip on the money. Tell everyone to donate ONLY directly to strong candidates themselves, NOT to the RNC— and tell your Congressmen what you are doing. We need to flood our good House and Senate folks with money. And not just the ones from our state. Even $10 or $5 to a guy like Byron Donald’s—multiplied by just one million patriots is ALOT of money, and will liberate our Congress from the RNC / RINO’s grip.

Expand full comment

The money is all they care about. Ronna is bad news. And a lot of the alternative people that come forward get co-opted by the system, aka bought off. Like Harmeet Dhillon. Seemed like a fire breather. Nope- just another RINO.

The only difference between Republicans and Democrat- Commies is that the RINOs kill you more slowly. But they advance much of the same agenda. Trump couldn’t get a wall built when the GOP controlled both houses. 🤷🏼

I’m not saying give up. I’m saying that the incumbent ossified system is not where change will emerge. We have to build outside the system and force change. So, RFK Jr was interesting for about 15 minutes because here’s a guy on the Left who is for freedom of speech and bodily autonomy. But then he starts with the climate change and the other tin foil positions and he disqualifies himself to centrist and right wing voters. But If we got a populist movement from the center left that could work with MAGA on basic issues like fiscal responsibility, the border, the trans nonsense, and de-weaponizing government, we could kick the crap out of both established parties. The 20% of hard left Commies, no you won’t get them. But the RiNOs will come because they do t actually stand for anything but lining their pockets.

We would be wholly energy independent and an exporter to boot, lifting other countries out of economic hazard. You could have your stove and gas powered cars! We need to face it, the party is run by RINOs. You will never see a cohesive conservative message with the SNL crowd running the show. The party had record fundraising going into this election and failed miserably. I still say advertising money does not buy votes, at least in the GOP.

Your right. The GOP is all show and tough talk and zero else. Totally toothless party. My wife gets upset when I tell her this but we conservatives have a much bigger problem than just the Dem party. We conservatives are represented by a party that doesn't know how to win, and they don't want to learn either. Rona McDaniel might be a nice woman, I have no idea, but yet we struggle with a dysfunctional message and keep losing and yet she keeps her job. Where do you see that in the private sector? Hire a new RNC chairman and tell them they have one election to show defined results or they will be fired. Hire a proven winner, not just a nice person who promises nothing. In previous times Garland, Mayorkas, and Wray would have been impeached and charged with sedition. Why not today?

And also on the bright side— two of the worst RINO’s, Ken Buck and Kay Granger, have announced they are not running for re-election in 2024. Both of them were in the group of 20 hardcore RINO’s who held out against Jim Jordan.

And as you, PM, pointed out yesterday, that new Congressman, Rich McCormick, who partnered with MTG on that censure, looks like a pretty good guy.

Now, if there could be a credible alternative fundraising entity for true Republicans, that would divert serious money from the RNC, that would be a gigantic blow to the RINO’s “power structure”. I’ve wondered if Trump’s PAC could be that, but I think it has to spend the money on Trump.

As soo many of know here, elections now seem like Kabuki theater.

We vote, but does it really matter, as we are fully aware the “game’s afoot”, as Sherlock would say.

If we don’t get rid of mass mail-in voting we are on a fool’s errand, maybe not everywhere, but most assuredly where it counts (pun intended).

While sending abortion back to the states was without question the right thing to do, it has galvanized the Left and only served to create yet another hurdle for Republicans which we need like a hole in the head in these times.

And after just watching the 100’s of thousands of Americans march and riot in the streets celebrating barbarity and savagery, I mean, there’s no bottom after that.

We’re being LITERALLY invaded every single day now for 3 years and Republicans in Congress seems to feel no urgency whatsoever in unequivocally shutting down the border as an absolute National Security priority?

The economy is hanging by a frayed - and fake - thread, and could go bust at any minute, and our Representatives still can’t seem to make the case to the American people the danger we are in by our reckless spending.

It’s 12 months to the day until the next election, and our candidate is in the midst of a all out persecution, fighting not just to be re-elected, but for his very life.

All I can say is, pray without ceasing, and may God have mercy on the USA.

And, while I wholeheartedly do believe in miracles, what are we doing to deserve even one?

I know I sound all “gloom and doom”, because our current state of affairs appears so daunting, but I do cling to these hopes:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts..”

As well as when Abraham tried to negotiate with God about sparing Sodom and Gomorrah: “peradventure there be fifty righteous… And the Lord said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.”

I cling to the hope that Lord finds at the least some fifty righteous here and He will give us another chance.

As I always say, pray much. 🙏

Expand full comment

Unfortunately this is the root of the issue. Are there “fifty righteous” anymore in our country? I believe these elections show us the hearts of most Americans. For the most part these voters believe what the Democrats do and align with them. Just look at the response to the horrible massacre in Israel. The abortion vote is another indication of the state of their hearts, siding with the murder of innocent children. Our institutions, schools, colleges and churches have almost all fallen to humanism and relativism where there “is no truth but your own”. We have lost the battle for the hearts and minds of America and thus, unless we have a mighty move of a merciful God, next November’s election will look just like this.

The ballot initiative was a confusingly written mess, with tons of out of state money behind it. The loss was upsetting of course - but it will be modified in the future - Ohio is destined to become a first trimester abortion state, which seems to be consistently where the electorate is in many cases. They also just approved medical marijuana which is just a precursor to legalizing it for recreational use, as its utility for medical purposes is pretty much non-existent. Look for a small slowdown in industrial investment as Ohio becomes the latest state to eliminate roughly 10% of its workforce as unemployable due to their inability to pass a drug screen.

More telling is the GOP failing to take back the governorship in Kentucky, with a very pro-Trump candidate losing pretty handily, and the Only Fans sexy candidate winning in Virginia. Until the GOP decides where they are between Trump and non-Trump - big dark leftist money will come in and win these races.
