I agree that all those things have become unaffordable thanks to governments, federal, state and local, imposing endless burdens that reduce the supply of housing, along with boosting the cost of what supply remains. Those expensive burdens include restrictive zoning, ever-stricter building codes in the name of some Leftist dream, like carbon-neutrality; and, of course, the utterly irresponsible importation of millions of illegals during Autopen's term; those people wanted a roof above their heads too.
From what I'm reading, there has been a slight drop in housing prices since Trump's crackdown on illegals. And apartment rents have been slipping a bit, not surprising when you consider the enormous apartment-building boom of recent years.
Unfortunately, while those are good things in themselves, the prospect of apartment-living won't materially boost people's urge to start families and have children ...

Actually, it was Woodrow Wilson who believed government should be run by “experts”, committees and “independent bodies”. FDR just built upon that in spades and Look where that’s dragged us!

Speaking of red, my memory is that the political parties used to have opposite representative colors. Republicans were blue and Democrats were red. Sometime in the late 70s or early 80s, things flipped.
I’m assuming that the switch to Republicans being red was a ploy by the Democrats to hide their own association with red communists. The theory fits too well to check out for confirmation so I’m just gonna go with that.
On an unrelated note, I’m feeling a lot of kinship with the Europeans right now. Hundred degrees and high humidity with a broken air conditioner. With equal parts perspiration, body order, and desperation, I extend my sweaty hand out to greet my European brothers.

I'm pretty sure the flipping from blue to red and vice-versa was the result of election maps on TV, years ago, that colored Republican-won areas red and Democrats' blue. Whether that was part of a plan to blunt the "red scare" presented by the Dems I don't know, although it seems plausible.

When you just think about all the things we are being forced to fight against the Democrats about: no child mutilation, securing our border and deporting millions of illegals, color blindness and meritocracy, secure elections, school choice, reliable energy, lowering taxes, exposing and dismantling fraud and abuse of our taxpayer’s dollars, arresting and prosecuting criminals, etc. etc. The list is long! And ALL of those things promise enormous benefit to all people at all levels! It comprises the most sane, common sensical items one could possibly list for a freer, happier, and more prosperous life, and yet here we are, having to fight tooth and nail - up to and including death threats - to implement!
It just proves the Democrats are not about the welfare and well being of the citizens of this country, but solely about being in power and in control of our money. And anyone and everyone who’s on board their diabolical crazy train is just an idiot.
