I like what DeSantis has been doing in Florida but I want him to sit down and wait for 2028. I will vote for Trump even if they manage to convict him. I will write his name in on both the primary and general ballots if I have to. And I’m not alone. Not by a very very long shot.

If I have to crawl over broken glass under tangled barb wire with enemy fire I'll vote for Trump. God picked Trump, then stepped back to let cheating Joe steal the election to teach America a lesson. Is chapter three The Return of the King? Could be an EPIC book!?

I wonder if Dollar General Don caught that last hint. Time will tell.

DeSantis has likely destroyed his brand by running this cycle by demonstrating his disloyalty to Trump and to his constituents in Florida, to whom he promised he’d serve his full term as governor. The fact that during his campaign so far he’s covered himself in glory tells us how ready he was for national office.

Putin signed the law that allowed him to be president for life. So did Chavez in Venezuela.

Desantis signing the law allowing him to remain governor while running shows me he is on par with Chavez and Putin.

McCarthy and DeSantis are both wrong. Neither former Senator and Veep Joe “POTATUS” Biden nor former Senator and Secretary of State Shrillary Clinton had any legal authority to take or retain classified documents, especially in the unsecured manner in which they did. Former President Donald J. Trump, as President, had the ability to declassify ANYTHING under the Presidential Records Act, which is conveniently being ignored by the prosecutors and media (but I repeat myself).

This is Banana Republic stuff. Or it would be, if we were known for exporting bananas. It’s like we don’t even try anymore.

Simple fact: states that found mail-in ballots in the wee hours all had voting regulation changes that WERE NOT made by the state legislating bodies. Their electoral votes are null and void. Ah, not exactly. He's being very calculating here. He's not Walker. And I as commented in another place. A checkered past? Well then let's talk about TODAY. DJT is walking into a Miami courthouse on CRAP charges -- RDS could have put himself into the stratosphere, by simply showing up on the courthouse steps with the other MAGAs there in a sign of support!

I don't think he meant checkered past. Trump has plenty of history, he was a democrat at on time but it may have been for business reasons. Trump's biggest failure was in the people who he was forced to pick for many positions.

Keep in mind he had cocaine Mitch's wife forced upon him. Spy? That's my guess.

So Trump's failure is our failure in picking Caesarian Senators (et tu Brute?) and congressscum instead of people who would support him and represent us.

Yes! I think you just nailed Trump’s (& our) biggest failure - maybe his only real failure. And I don’t think any of us, including, could have known how truly treacherous were those who surrounded him in DC. We have all had to go through it to see it. Even the prescient Sundance.

"His lane is to be the backup in case something happens in the grassy knoll to Trump." Good way to put it.

I love what he has done in Florida - most importantly for ABSOLUTELY CLEANING THE VOTER ROLLS and tightening up election laws and processes which republicans refuse to do in other states. Beating a lifeless Charlie Crist is not an accomplishment and he should have won by 30.

Nationally, he belongs to the globalist republican donors like Obama bundler Ken Griffin of Citadel... Nuff said. Wait! I have to mention the rest of the Bush/Cheney/Romney donors and campaign a$$holes....

Ramaswamy is my number two. Private sector experience is a premium requirement for me and DeSantis has zero, much like everyone else in 'the race'. I know exactly what I am getting with Trump - cheap, plentiful energy which is the basis for everything in our lives.

Please notice that NONE of the 'republican candidates' will even mention their economic policies. I hope I am wrong.

I too very much like Ramaswami. The private sector experience is critical. The exception to the rule is Pierre Delecto, who foolishly had many of us believing his private sector experience matters. Also, his Massachusetts governorship should have exposed him as a RINO who supported socialized medicine.

Even one of Jeffery Epstein's top clients, Bill Gates, is wary of AI and well he should be. Gates was on board when AI was in the development stage and promised "Eternal Life." Only God can make that promise. Gates was enthralled with the possibility of inter-planetary travel using AI until he realized that IF any problems arose, that he would be stuck in his half man/half robot forever and there would be nothing he could do. AI scares the hell out of me, but it will be the ONLY way for democrats to make Joe Biden appear "Normal."

Gates scared of AI? He was opposed to Musk's "2 weeks to flatten the AI curve" moratorium (also a charade, but a telling one in many ways). At best, I would say he is *publicly* wary of endorsing anything that will draw negative attention to himself.

On a serious note (although my previous post WAS serious!), We The People are growing more and more agitated and downright irate at the injustices of our corrupt "leaders" (most of whom were not elected or were selected by fraud).

They know this, so they keep looking for more ways to keep us from responding (through vote theft; now they're looking at digital currency and a "Chy-na style" social credit system that will tamp down those who don't want their lifestyle threatened).

It's going to be interesting to see when the lid finally blows off this pressure cooker and we say "enough". A couple of thoughts about DeSantis. The last line of his comment on Trump turns the comment into a campaign pitch. Truly classless.

I also think he is tainted by the big money behind him. Having Fox News and the Murdoch behind him is a red flag. And Elon Musk is fully funded in all his businesses by the Chinese. Does DeSantis really believe they will not expect their quid pro quo from a DeSantis administration? If so he is too naive to be President and all his talk about taking on the deep state is just that - talk.
