I was born in 1950, and I grew up in a UAW household. Back then, the Dems were the party of the blue-collar worker. Now, the union brass (most of whom have not done any physical labor for years) are still solidly Democrat, but the rank and file are voting Republican. The Dems thought Hispanic immigrants would give them permanent power; it turns out a lot of them are socially conservative, and are dropping out. And you don't see much about it in the press, but those hard-working Mexicans are not too impressed with the blacks on welfare. Now the old-line feminists are figuring out that the transgenders are essentially discriminating against them. I question how long the Dems can hold their coalition together.

Perhaps I’m a bit slow, but for the first time I realized that in all of the iterations of those letters I’ve never seen either a M or an F. This got me to wondering about the significance of the absence (oversight?). Clearly us normals are not welcome in that “organization” so adding some random letter now and then is simply an acknowledgement (recruiting tool?) of the discovery of another category of disaffected crazy people.
Then I became anxious for them that people have been unable to keep up with the expanding list of craziness. Furthermore they might eventually run out of letters and symbols to define themselves.
So I’d like to offer these LGBT+++ folks a suggestion so that their movement can clearly define itself and help the non-movement folks empathize with them. Suppose for clarity purposes the movement calls itself the CRAZIES and the rest refer to themselves as the NORMALS.
I could have sworn it was Accordion Awareness Month, not Sexual Deviance & Depravity Month...ah, well - it's not the first time I've been mistaken.
