I grocery shopped yesterday…up another 20% for the same goods I bought last week. But what the heck the Concours d’Elegance at Pebble Beach and millionaire car enthusiasts are arriving in town for the week. Carmel will rake in the dough. Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods were packed with some obvious car tourists (carts full of booze and snacks) and locals stocking up for the week to hide out. You take your life in your hands on the road with racers and arrogant drivers. Last year I narrowly missed one cutting across 4 lanes to get in front of me. We hear the roar of engines day and night up on our hill.

I wish I could drink alcohol! The world would be much more manageable. But more than about 1/2 a Guinness (which is low alcohol content, despite its intimidating dark color) and I am likely to get a migraine. 🫤
For some of us drinking alcohol is like throwing kerosene on a raging fire. I’ve been angry for four years. I’d probably be in jail now if I added booze to the mix. I need to keep my wits about it…not easy even sober.
So I have to share an encouraging story with y'all. We visited Yorktown yesterday (site of the winning and penultimate battle for our Revolution. Met two young men while looking at the Nelson house, which still has a cannonball in its walls from when the Americans courtesy of Conte de Grasse lobbed it there because the Brits had commandeered it as their HQ. (nicest house in town, naturally). Even though this was Thomas Nelson's house, he encouraged his compatriots to bomb it anyway to rout the Brits. That's patriotism!
The young men got it, we talked about Trump and I encouraged them to talk with their friends and bring them to the polls. Wonderful that these young men see what is happening.
Side note, my husband descends from Thos Nelson...one of my ancestors was on the first Supreme Court. We are the definition of "elite" and were ALWAYS encouraged to consider that an obligation to do GOOD for our country. Totally the opposite of the evil folks running the Dems. As a Christian I pray they will repent, and as a patriot I will fight with every idea I have.
I recession might convince the unwashed to reconsider supporting the Dem machine. A market crash will have WOKE CEO"s jumping out of top floors. That is probably a good thing but we don't want a crash. My parents were scarred all of their lives because of the last one.

Just found out that Walz was a sergeant major who abandoned his unit when they were getting ready to deploy to Iraq. First of all, I didn't know you could do that. Secondly and more importantly, he was the senior NCO of his unit. Reservists generally grow their own leaders unlike the actives. His unit was somewhere around 500 soldiers but the number of senior nco's was probably pretty small. He grew up with these people, knew their families and eventually turned into their nco leader. A model for all nco's in their unit. Well, he abandoned them when they needed him most. It's a scary time knowing you're going into harms way and some won't be coming back. That piece of shit turned tail and ran in the face of the enemy. It tells you all you need to know about his character and his ethics. He disgusts me.

Try Theanine. All natural over the counter supplement - calms and helps with sleep. Melatonin doesn’t work for me but theanine does.
