Sorry to do this to you so early on a Holiday (For most of us). China has THE largest oil reserves in the world. The last time they tried to float the 'petro-dollar' was in the 90's when oilman George HW Bush president and as far as I could see, that was the ONLY conservative thing they did in their otherwise liberal 12 years they were in office. China as we speak are trying to do it again but they lack the refinery space that The United States has. You'd think the Biden regime would pounce, but NOT Joe Biden as every single person in his regime is corrupt to the core and hell-bent on destroying our country. FOR THE GOOD OF THE FREE WORLD, GET BIDEN/HARRIS OFF THE WORLD STAGE.

I really wish you would expand on this theme. I am just not good at intuiting peoples' meaning. As in "the last time they. . ." Who is 'they'? The Chinese, or GHWB? Who had 12 years in office when GHWB was president? "China . . . is trying to do it again. . . Trying to float the petrodollar? Trying to start up refineries?

I wish I could follow your drift. I do understand "GET BIDEN/HARRIS OFF THE WORLD STAGE." I agree with that. Actually, I'd refine that just a little: 'get Biden in jail, where he belongs.'

Um... no - just stop with that. They import 80% of their energy requirements. 80%. They aren't in the top 10%. It's almost all middle east, Russia, and Canada/US.

Oil production has the US and the Saudi's routinely trading places as the world leader. Russia is number 3, and somewhat impacted by the war sanctions, though their production is still pretty robust. The US produces 2 1/2 or more times the amount of oil than China, and does so more cheaply and efficiently. Fracking has increased our known reserves every year. We also use our energy more efficiently than anyone else, producing more GDP per energy use of anyone.

The last time China tried to float the Yuan as a dollar substitute, domestic capital fled the country. They stopped. Right now, foreign investment is drying up. And as a part of the GDP calculation, which includes investment, China is losing GDP (which was always exaggerated by estimates as high as 30%). China is doing a Yuan oil deal with the Saudis, Brazil was kicking the tires but really doesn't trade much with China. China has paid a lot of money to the Bidens. They should know better. Their return on investment has been very poor. The dems use you, then throw you aside. Xi should have known better, as that is standard operating procedure for commies.

The department of education ( like many others) exists to hand out federal funds to school districts. They say they are trying to bring the poor ones up -- they’re actually trying to foist socialism on all districts. How many districts are going to turn down free money though? It’s an insidious arrangement. I’d like to see them dissolved and the money they distribute to states not collected at all. How revolutionary is that thought? And after that, commit to closing another executive department every year until we’re back to a few essential ones: State, Treasury, War, Interior, Justice, and that’s about it. White House and Congressional staff limited to 25 per office. Pentagon limited to a total of 1000 stars (and stripe equivalent in the sea services) over all the services. (Lots of functions currently handled by one and two stars could be handled as well by colonels.)

Next would be to move executive departments out of the District in Columbia. treasury to Philly, War Next Door to the Alamo, State to New York, Interior to Missoula, Justice to San Francisco.

Then we’d see how lean and mean would work. Bring it on!

"Drag a few thousand bucks through Congress and you have a majority, but the bureaucrats are a better buy because they never have to report to anyone — especially (ugh) voters."

To me, this is the most challenging issue. Trump faces resistance in Congress even from some Freedom Caucus members who dip deeply into China-Tech pockets for money. Likewise, the corporate leaders who have off-shored their operations don't want Trump's aggressive America-First policies. No matter where these companies go when they leave China, most won't come home. They will go to another low wage country - a BRICS nation. Rich men north of Richmond sold our country to China.

This thread is interesting. One of the most annoying aspects of witnessing the fall of civilization, is trying to fill in my fantasy league scorecard. Obviously, Trump is a given, but beyond that it gets dicey; aka the Freedom Caucus. Ideology & reality rarely lead to the same destination . I remember when Trump was trying to pass his tax legislation & Massie would not get on board for ‘ideological’ reasons, I did not have enough information to made a decision as to who/what was right, other than it put money in my pocket. Ditto Mark Meadow. I thought he was a good choice for COS, but not so sure now. Frankly, this is the main reason why I am in in for Trump. I am not saying he doesn’t have a personal agenda or faults, but you know he has an end game aka Patton. success of Red China has been on the backs of Americans. We facilitated the opening of the Chinese economy to the world and the acceptance of the regime to the world as well. For a period of time the geniuses in DC actually believed they would change the political landscape and “bring China into the fold” of democratic nations. Meanwhile the CCP played along. They played the long game. They made us dependent on their cheap labor, which put a lot of money into American corporate pockets. The downside of course is what Mr. Surber discusses in the article, because while the C-suites prospered, millions of line workers lost their jobs, critical technology and processes were relocated and or stolen , the PLA was made huge with our dollars, and they bought off our government bureaucracy and politicians.

Simultaneously they started the pandemic of Fentanyl, and then in 2020 with active financial/technical assistance and planning of our government biosecurity apparatus and its corporate slimeball partners, they unleashed COVID. They killed at least 1,00,000 U.S. citizens and trashed the economy, which is still causing problems for Main Street, especially small businesses. All this happened because of government geniuses who got played by somebody smarter, who understood the weaknesses of our system and just how greedy people can be. But we did it to ourselves.

Trump is the only one who can and will stop China. China is not without its internal problems. They gave a lot of economic and civil problems. The Chinese people do not like the CCP. But the CCP runs a brutal surveillance prison state. Quick story - some years ago I did a charity surgical mission to China. Every enterprise of any size in Chiba has political officers implanted into its hierarchy. Our team operated for a week on cleft lip and palate patients. During these types of trips, which are demanding, long hours and intense work, it’s typical to develop camaraderie with the local team working with you. At the end of the mission the hospital threw us a send off party at a big karaoke club. At the club we had two rooms. In one room the CCP apparatchiks were left alone to sing patriotic anthems. In the other room the nurses and doctors and other staff partied with the gringos. The dichotomy was clear. The people tolerate the CCP because they have to. They don’t like them at all. We should remember that we don’t want to end up with the same crap here, which is exactly what the American Marxists and the CCP would love to see. That’s why Raimondo is kissing ass in China. Joe Biden is a crooked POS whose pockets are filled with CCP money, just like most of Congress, many of our largest universities and of course the corporations.
