I DESPISE the phrase “the best and the brightest”, especially when it comes to gubment workers, like the fraudulent Dr. Fece. He would have been ground to a pulp and been nothing but a lab runner if he worked in the free market.

The real brightest are competing in the free market, creating, building and growing ideas.

It used to be that those that can, do and those that can’t, teach. Now, it is those that can, do, those that can’t, try to rule by fear and propaganda. Sadly, those that can’t are succeeding right now.

I despise the phrase "Those that can, do; those that can't teach." Perhaps because the open contempt it generates for teachers has helped put us in this godless mess we're in. Perhaps it is because I have had many teachers who "could" and they have been a mix of both good and bad teachers. Perhaps because many who "can't" end up teaching... poorly.

I agree with what you say BUT the lesbian communist Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers (and people like her) have killed teaching and replaced it with indoctrination. How can anybody allow their child to attend the spiritual\moral\physical abattoir of public education? I'm sure there are people who really do love teaching children. Monsters like Randi Weingarten make sure people who love to teach don't ever get anywhere near a school house. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randi_Weingarten

The "best and the brightest" proved themselves to be tyrants and bullies during the pandemic. Instead of protecting the vulnerable and letting the healthy get on with their lives as was done for hundreds of years during a pandemic, these geniuses decided that closing down the economy, making people stay in their homes, and keeping kids out of school was the new "smart" thing to do. They have ruined all of our institutions.

Excellent summary, Donnie Boy.

Luntz is espousing the GOP establishment lie – they left the American voter, not Trump. For 35 years they campaigned on controlling the border and protecting America while giving our intellectual property away to China for a stipend.

Trump has sacrificed more than many of our veterans(me included) to protect America and his policies are common sense and proven to work. Imagine what your life was like in January 2020. It is that simple.

We know what we are getting and so does the GOPe – he disrupted trillions of their globalist grift and they literally want him to ‘go away’. How could I support that?

“It is not enough to simply beat Trump. He must be destroyed thoroughly. His kind must not rise again.” - David Plouffe – Barry Soetero's 2008 campaign manager who’s sentiment is shared by the globalist GOPe.

Until we fix the cheating, which the Democrats have developed into an art form, we cannot win. And Fox News and many other 'controlled opposition" outlets pretending to be conservative, have never admitted the gross cheating that put Biden, who has sold his soul to China and the devil, into office. That is one reason I cannot abide Rush Limbaugh's vapid replacements, especially the former Democrat and non too bright Clay Travis. He and to an extent, Buck Sexton, is a not too subtle shill for DeSantis. I suspect his affiliation with Fox is causing him to do this. I cannot even stomach their program anymore. With all due respect, Ballot Harvesting has NOTHING to do with the fraud being perpetuated on us. And continuing this lie isn't helpful. In Kari Lake's AZ case, there is ONE ballot printer using ONE stock of paper... why did they find tens of thousands of votes printed on nearly 10 different variations of paper stock???

A huge difference between ballot harvesting and creating fraudulent ballots, turning off the machines at midnight so they can process the fraudulent ballots. And lets not forget about the machines being programmed nefariously. Seriously, enough with the 'ballot harvesting' canard.

I understand that one has nothing to do with other. It does not change the facts that the cheating has to be dealt with via voting machines and fraudlent ballots and the Rs need to do better at ballot harvesting.

Yep, they are inserting fraudulent ballots into the process in all the battleground states. Right now there is nothing that can be done to stop it. It will require the next wave of GOP politicians if there will be any in these states to decimate the opponent and throw a bunch of them in jail for election fraud, create a penalty for doing these things which is severe enough to make people think twice about doing it.

Talk to your Democrat buddy that “doesn’t know what the hell has happened to his country” to get out and VOTE for the Republican candidate. 2024 will be like . . . 2024. This are changing so fast that I doubt anyone can predict anything.

I am going to say something unpopular on this forum, but while right now I find Trump preferable to pretty much everybody I've heard mentioned on the R side (with the exception of DeSantis maybe and the real long shot Vivek Ramaswamy) and everybody on the D side (they need to go kiss Tulsi Gabbard's feet and beg her to come back), I still am ambivalent on a second Trump term. I have much the same reasoning as Pedro Gonzales (at the Contra Substack), so I won't belabor the point. If you're curious about why a non-RINO, "America First" person would not be too keen on Trump, he's far more eloquent than I am.

But if Trump did gift us with anything, it is providing a stark enough comparison that we could see the "best and brightest" for what they really are: the most well connected and self serving.

And, yes, Alvin Bragg needs to consider his prosecution an in-kind donation to the Trump campaign.

Expand full comment

Thank you for the tip about Mr. Gonzales’ sub stack. I read it and he articulates what I too feel about President Trump. First, after the red wave fizzled for the Republicans in 2020, Mr. Trump blamed the Pro-life people for the loss. As a Pro-lifer who was an ardent supporter of Trump and who worked with others to get the vote out for the Republicans, this was a slap in the face. Rather, the Republicans apparently missed the major impact the Dodd decision had on young, liberal white females who came out in mass to vote. We were so focused on the “economy” we did not take time to educate on what the Dodd decision meant. Second, following a conversation with my son about how Trump handled the COVID crisis by locking the country down and turning everything over to Fauci and Birx, my confidence in Trump slipped even further. These actions drove another nail into the coffin leading to the burial of the American republic as we have known her. I however will vote for who ever the 2024 Republican nominee for President is as this country will not survive another Democrat in the White House.

Trump's detractors claim DJT is a silver-spoon rich kid who had it handed to him on a platter. I've always seen DJT as upper-middle class at most. His dad figured out how to make good money in a tough market and gave his children the best he could afford. No doubt, DJT took his opportunities to the next level, and beyond. I still admire Trump for keeping his nose clean during the cocaine-crazed Studio 54 days of Manhattan night life. I bet Mueller's snarling communist lawfare hounds were combing the records at every Precinct Station House in the five boroughs, looking for anything that looked like Trump being busted for drugs.

I read somewhere that Trump's dad figured his boy was gonna lose his shirt trying to break into the big time in Manhattan. I believe DJT is enough of a competitor to wanna get beat by the best. The results Trump has produced in his private (and public) life speak for themselves. While guys like me were partying hearty and having a wonderful time with the ladies, Donald J Trump was making deals, making money, and laying it all on the line every day. I heard him say once, "I have a lot of experience in dealing with very difficult people. My whole career has prepared me for what I'm trying to do now." [MAGA]

People with common sense and common decency get it: Trump is just a guy who figures out how to make the most of his opportunities. If, God forbid, his enemies manage to destroy everything he has accomplished and get him thrown in jail, I would expect DJT to turn even that bad outcome into a winning situation without a peep of whining. He's just that kinda guy. Godspeed Donald J Trump.
