He who laughs last is President Trump.
With the media circling like guppies over an indictment over “hush money” as the various media outlets call it, he had fun. Our favorite president since Reagan turned the tables on the clowns.
The day after St. Patrick’s Day, President Trump said a grand jury in New York City would indict him on Tuesday. He cited illegal leaks.
However, he also issued a caveat that he had not been notified of said pending indictment by Soros-backed prosecutor Snidely Whiplash — excuse me, Alvin of the Chipmunks — excuse me again, Alvin Bragg.
Having rooted for indictments in the Mueller case, the Ukraine case, the January 6 protest, and a few other cases I have forgotten about, the media bit hard on this rumor. That’s because the media has turned into infotainment that makes the old stories in the defunct Weekly World News sound plausible. Is it eligible for a post-mortem Pulitzer for its exclusives on Bat Boy?
AP immediately reported, “His message seemed designed to preempt a formal announcement from prosecutors and to galvanize outrage from his base of supporters in advance of widely anticipated charges. Within hours, his campaign was sending fundraising solicitations to his supporters, while influential Republicans in Congress and even some declared and potential rival candidates issued statements in his defense.”
So his rumor rallied Republicans and supporters behind him.
Bragg issued no denial.
AP’s story said, “In an internal email following Trump’s statements, Bragg said law enforcement would ensure that the 1,600 people who work in his office would remain safe, and that ‘any specific or credible threats’ would be investigated.”
He has 1,600 employees? That’s just one borough. That’s also a lot of patronage jobs. Small wonder Democrats hold NYC. Brooklyn’s DA has 1,260 employees including 4 in Africa. Democrats eye their next.
Media guppies swallowed the pending indictment story like the little fish they are.
NBC said, “Law enforcement agencies are prepping for a possible Trump indictment as early as next week.”
As early as next week!
Politico said to Trump, I’ll see your Tuesday and raise you a Monday.
Reuters reported early last Monday, “Former U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to be indicted by a grand jury late Monday or on Wednesday in a hush payments case involving a porn star, Politico reported on Monday, citing three unidentified people involved in the deliberations.”
The walls are closing in!
When the walls had not moved on Monday, Politico changed its story.
It said, “Law enforcement officials met at NYPD headquarters in lower Manhattan on Monday afternoon to plan for a possible indictment of former President Donald Trump on charges stemming from payments to a porn star, a person involved in the planning told Politico.
“An indictment by a grand jury is expected soon, according to three people involved in the deliberations, though it did not appear to be happening Monday. The grand jury returns Wednesday.
“‘We’ll be discussing how we bring Trump in,’ the person involved in the planning said, adding, ‘No decisions have been made yet.’
“The meeting was to include members of the NYPD, the U.S. Secret Service, court officers and officials from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office, the person said.”
So the media went from repeating what President Trump said to making up anonymous sources who upped the ante.
Forbes gleefully reported, “Here’s What Will Happen If Trump Is Arrested (Yes, He’ll Probably Get A Mugshot).”
It, too, sang Monday, Monday, reporting, “When Will Trump Be Indicted? That’s still unclear—the Manhattan grand jury hearing the case still has at least one more witness to hear from on Monday, and while they could vote on charges as soon as Monday, it could also come later depending on how things go.”
The media replaced the presumption of innocence with the presumption of indictment for President Trump, but yeah, tell me how no one is above the law.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams had to chime in. At an unrelated press conference, he said, “We are monitoring comments on social media, and the NYPD is doing their normal role of making sure there is no inappropriate actions in the city. We are confident we're going to be able to do that.”
No inappropriate actions in the city — only proper ones such as looting stores, painting BLM on the street in front of Trump Tower, and sucker-punching passersby.
As Tuesday passed without an indictment, the media continued to report on a pending indictment.
The New York Times assured it Leninist readers, “Make No Mistake, the Investigation of Donald Trump and the Stormy Daniels Scheme Is Serious.”
Meanwhile, Bragg never denied an indictment was soon. Instead, he pushed back against a congressional investigation of the DA’s possible criminality.
Bragg’s mouthpiece said, “We will not be intimidated by attempts to undermine the justice process, nor will we let baseless accusations deter us from fairly applying the law.
“In every prosecution, we follow the law without fear or favor to uncover the truth. Our skilled, honest and dedicated lawyers remain hard at work.”
As Monday passed without an indictment and Tuesday passed without an indictment and Wednesday passed without an indictment, NYT had to assure its readers that an indictment was near.
NYT said, “The Manhattan grand jury that has been hearing evidence about Donald J. Trump’s involvement with a hush-money payment to a porn star did not meet on Wednesday, according to two people with knowledge of the matter, meaning that any indictment of the former president would come Thursday at the earliest.”
Pay no attention to that calendar behind the curtain.
Thursday passed.
Friday passed.
The DA looked like a fool and once again the Holy Grail of prosecuting Donald Trump for being president seemed to elude all these smarter-than-you liberals.
President Trump raised expectations only to laugh at liberals whose hopes were dashed once again. The DA thought the president was helping him, but by not indicting Trump last week, Bragg looks like his case is weak.
According to Trump-hating Michael Avenatti, the case is weaker than ketchup soup.
He said, “The 2 biggest impediments to a conviction of Trump over the hush money payment are 1) Michael Cohen's 15 months of lies during 2017-18 when he called me a liar and claimed it was entirely his idea and Trump knew nothing and 2) his recent TV interviews for his own ego.”
As for Trump’s lawyer, Avenatti said, “Attorney Joe Tacopina is no Rudy Giuliani/Sydney Powell. The guy knows his way around a criminal courtroom. He will destroy Michael ‘Dumb as a Box of Rocks’ Cohen on the stand, especially seeing as Cohen publicly lied for 15 months and now won’t stop talking on TV.”
CBS sheepishly admitted, “Former federal prosecutor says Manhattan grand jury decision in possible Donald Trump indictment ‘could go either way.’”
There are real journalists covering this fiasco.
Trending Politics reported, “James O’Keefe turned heads on Twitter when he suggested that he has insiders on the Grand Jury that may indict President Trump in the coming weeks. After being ousted as the head of Project Veritas, O’Keefe immediately started a new adventure called O’Keefe Media Group, or OMG.”
Maybe Bragg will indict Trump today. Tomorrow. Later this week. Next week. Next month. Next year.
But time plus no answer equals no. When Trump said he would be indicted, he created a deadline for Bragg. Not meeting that deadline makes him look like he has no case — which he doesn’t have.
The Babylon Bee spoke for many of us when it skewered these clowns in the story, “Trump Exploits Little-Known Legal Loophole Where You Avoid Indictment By Not Committing A Crime.”
When Mr. Trump was president, he came as close as any president has to full unemployment for anyone who wanted a job. Overall, prices for everything had dropped and with the exception of Antifa and BLM, everyone looked forward to starting their day. Antifa and BLM are nothing more than terrorists groups who seek to undermine and destroy The United States and have the backing of Biden and Harris. There are CONSTITUTIONAL grounds for what should happen next and it will NOT happen via the FBI. As far as an idiot like Alvin Bragg goes, he has sold his soul and looking like the ass he and many other liberals really are.
The NYC criminals were so focused on the Trump indictment story last week that no one was thrown in front of a moving train.
