We all understand the sense of urgency but why are we assuming we will lose the House in the mid-terms? Think we need to run the same ground game starting now than Trump did starting four years ago.

Expand full comment

The run up to 2028 presidential starts then too. So - Vance has a good opportunity to change the role of the VP and do actual work with actual accomplishments consistent with Trump’s campaign platform. It will make a big difference if there is no competition on the GOP side for the Pres line on the 2028 ballot. He has tremendous potential and I don’t see him being a ribbon cutting kinda guy.

Expand full comment

I have great hopes for JD and expect him to do well but in the 2028 run he will be lacking one thing: Donald Trump holding the lead position. Having Trump on the sideline will make it a very different thing.

Expand full comment

I bet DJT will campaign hard for JD to keep his legacy and the repair of America going.

Expand full comment

I'm sure he will but Trump's impact will diminish when he leaves office. JD must establish a reputation and personality that is as accomplished at fixing things no later than 2026 - ie. the start of his run for president.

If he works on that as he does his work, it will also help us keep our momentum for the mid-terms at that time.

Expand full comment

Maybe. If DJT is as impactful as we all hope and expect him to be, he *might* even have MORE influence in the future than we can imagine.

Expand full comment

trumps legacy is already assured.

Expand full comment

Reverse the order - Keep the repair of America and his legacy going. DJT has America first.

Expand full comment

It starts now. Push for a federal election day, separate ballots.

Expand full comment

desantis, haley, scott, noem and others will be all in. others too.

Expand full comment

It might depend upon how strong of a candidate JD looks like in '28. If many ppl think they have a credible shot they'll take it! Nikki Haley, DeSantis are the two most likely.

Expand full comment

Haley is toast. She wouldn’t even win her home state of South Carolina. She’s not popular here.

Expand full comment

Agree. Haley's blind self-awareness is either a mental illness (Narcissism) or a result of the deep state's unstoppable ambition at totalitarian power. They will use her for their advantage if she remains as clueless as she appears.

Expand full comment

Unfortunately I still know way too many squishes who like her and are awaiting another chance to vote for her in a primary to make her the general election candidate. Grrrr! 😖

I seem to remember that losing the house in mid-term has occurred often. So it is wise to act as if the pattern will repeat, and if not, so much the better.

Expand full comment

Agree. 2026 starts today. The Dems are sure working on it and have more tricks up their sleeve that we haven't figured out yet.

There is no time to gloat.

Expand full comment

Yep, they have been scheming since 2020.

Expand full comment

Hear, hear! There’s still a ton of work to be accomplished to straighten out our voting systems. That should be a number ONE priority for the whole country these next two years.

Expand full comment

Yes. yes, yes! It's easy for us to forget that vote cheating has become so widespread and effective for the Democrats. When you grow up playing by the rules, your mind doesn't think that way.

Expand full comment

I agree. Start working now to flip democrat seat in the house. Especially the eight New York seat. (Jefferies) senate seats too. While we’re at it lets target some more of the “Soros” AGs around the country.

How about we make the 2026 midterm an exception to the general rule? Trump has already told us to dream big!

You think the marxists are going to take this loss lying down??!!

Expand full comment

I think the Marxists have no clue that it's their entire ideology that stinks and caused them to lose. So I agree they will not "take this loss lying down". I therefore expect them to double down and continue to shoot themselves in their own feet. I expect them to be as stupid as they were in first being drawn to Marxism, and to take numerous aggressive steps that will all backfire on them. I expect even most of the liberal side of the country to finally wake up and understand the Marxist hostility and destructiveness towards the U.S. I expect to see significant leaders on the Marxist side exposed and convicted for criminal behavior. I expect their hold on all the institutions they contaminated (during their long and stealthy "Communist march through the institutions") to greatly loosen. Etc.

They only got where they are because they operated by stealth "below the radar". Now their masks are off and they are being watched like a hawk. It will be literally impossible for them to succeed when they have to operate under the microscope.

I also expect there to be very serious revelations about the Democrats involvement with pedophilia and sex trafficking.

We should be as concerned about the mid-terms as we were about the election just held. It will take the new media to start talking about it. Trump's win was only the first battle of many in a long war that will last until the end of J D Vance's SECOND term in the Whitehouse as president. That's 2036.

The will to win this war is still burning inside the patriots. We can't let it cool down or it won't get re-started. The first thing Trump must do (with the help of Mike Lindell) is to completely clean up the election systems in America. If he does that, the 2026 mid-term will only be half as threatening as it is today.

Expand full comment

Absolutely. Election integrity.

Single day voting.

Voter ID.

Paper ballots.

Expand full comment

NO MASS MAIL IN BALLOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Expand full comment

And a time limit for every county to certify results, or forfeit them. The closest election in history (Kennedy v Nixon, 1960) was done on paper ballots and called for Kennedy the following afternoon. Arguments about fraud notwithstanding, his margin of victory was said to be the equivalent of about one vote per precinct. In 2024, they are still pretending to count ballots in California, over a week after the election.

Expand full comment

And we were given paid time off to go vote as I recall. The entire country votes on the first Tuesday in November. There was a buzz and everyone I knew was proud to vote.

Expand full comment

I would like that too, but it's hard to see how that could be done federally. Elections have been run by the states. For example, I don't like or trust the universal mail-in ballot system here in Oregon -- which seems to have made it a one-party state -- but getting rid of it would take a statewide Initiative.

Expand full comment

Make Federal law that all tallies for federal office must be registered with the federal government 12 hours after the polls close. Anything after that will not be recognized or seated.

Expand full comment

If France can do it, we can do it.

Expand full comment

Mais oui!

Expand full comment

You can make all the federal laws you want -- although that in itself is a huge assumption, given that the parties in Congress are almost equally divided -- and if such a law passes, all the left-wing NGO lawyers will descend on it like vultures on a newborn lamb, and in the end, unless the Supreme Court mans up, nothing will come of it.

Expand full comment

The Constitution guarantees the States a "republican" form of government. Cannot have that without honest elections, so the Federal Government must ensure honest elections. It's not a novel legal theory, but the Supremes have been pretty squishy about supporting the idea.

Expand full comment

Agree. They are still counting in CA and AZ and it's over a week since Election Day. The way some states do elections is pure BS.

Expand full comment

I'd love to see Mike Lindell get a role in a new Election Integrity Department--this is the one area a new permanent Department or Agency is needed. A model national (federal) policy needs to be drawn up that consists of two parts:

One--the package everyone has already identified (Voter ID, paper ballots not machines, in person voting, single day or extremely limited voting period, citizenship required, no mail-in ballots except limited absentee ballots with documented medical necessity, etc. etc. etc.

Two--a complete and detailed system of Clean Election Procedures, that are designed by CPA's and cover THE ENTIRE process. Election results for federal office will not be accepted from any state that does not adopt the Federal Model Controls and Audit Procedures.

Important--This is not farfetched--right now, no corporation--regardless of what state they are in--can sell their stock on the major national stock exchanges unless they meet national SEC requirements for financial reporting, audits, etc. A framework of basic/standard Clean Election Processes should be similarly standardized and required.

Clean Election Procedures will include such things as strict Registration requirements and procedures, control of the chain of custody of ballots, control of the voting process, control of the tabulation of votes, control of the reporting up-the-ladder of official results, and--VERY IMPORTANT--thorough post-election audit procedures that cover the entire process, including statistical sampling and verification of individual votes.

Every state will have to publish their Audit Report and score, and these should get lots of publicity.

I know State Dept employees are. I have family working in DC for State. They are (quote) "Scared to death of what's coming". Most think they will be fired.

The State Dept is the silent right arm of the CIA in international operations.

Added edit: I will trust Trump's choice of Rubio for State even though I think he has teetered with the moderate wing of the GOP at times. He has a squishy feel about him but I will trust DJT. That said, Rubio must clean up the excessive State Dept waste. HUGE budgets and very highly paid people who live around the world with housing paid to carry out liberal-driven social change (ie community organizing on an international level). Elon Musk would have a cost-cutting field day with this group.

Rubio as Secretary of State has not been announced by Trump yet.

As of now, it is all just being floated in media.

Expand full comment

When DeSantis is named to take Rubio's Senate seat it most likely will be a done deal.

Expand full comment

I wasn't keen to hear Rubio either. I'm not sure about the guy. Maybe Trumpe just wants him out of the senate so DeSantis can appoint a real conservative. Can he appoint himself?

Expand full comment

I’m not sure it’s critical to have a another conservative in the Senate. It’s more important to have a very conservative member as secretary of state declare house of all the entrenched deep state operatives. I agree that it’s being floated in the media and maybe Mr. Trump will nominate Tulsi Gabbard. Either way, Mr. Trump‘s track record so far has been extremely encouraging. Much better than his first term.

Expand full comment

Despite some concerns about whether Rubio is sufficiently solid, I would vastly prefer Rubio to Tulsi Gabbard. To me, Gabbard is Unproven. And I have seen nothing about her that indicates she has management or executive ability. Mostly we are just going on what Tulsi has SAID-- her professions of support for conservative policies. But we have almost nothing to go on as to Tulsi's ability to perform.

I'm much more skeptical of Tulsi than Rubio.

In prior wars there was time to cashier the seatwarmers and carreerists in the military command structure. Progress in war was slow. There was the luxury of time for Dwight Eisenhower, Walter Bedell Smith, George Patton, George Marshal, William "Bull" Halsey, Chester Nimitz and the other true leaders to displace the losers. That is unlikely to be true next time. The current command has dangerously weakened morale and recruitment is falling below target. That, too, is unacceptable.

Leonard Leo headed a group that suggested suitable members for appointment to the Judiciary. I'm thinking Trump is headed down the same path with the military, drawing from individuals with the expertise that comes from experience. It's a trend. Boeing is doing the same. Their new CEO asks this simple question of every job and function: "Does it help us build airplanes?"

Trump is framing the same process with a group that will ask: "Does this help us win wars?"
