“The reason Trump picked Vance is that he is a Mini-Me, a younger version of The Donald…” THIS. More than anything, THIS. Trump is looking beyond his 4-year term to the future, where JD can extend Republican rule for another 8 years. In that time the Deep State can be neutralized.

The chance to occupy the Whitehouse (assuming a compliant Congress too) for eight more years after trump (through 2036) is what it will take to get rid of our biggest and most dangerous enemy - the RINO. They are the ambassadors to the deep state.

Dems could only win what they have now by cheating. Trump will fix that fraud. It is the RINO Trojan Horses that stab us in the back. They hate Vance because they know they won't have hooks in him come the 2028 election when Trump can't run. Don. jr isn't ready for the top ticket spot and won't be by that time either, but Don, jr as a VP in 2028 with Vance at the top will be excellent training for Don. jr.

Getting Trump reelected is job #1, but having a 12+ year plan to rule is job #2.

Maybe Don Jr doesn’t want to be president? Who wants all this scrutiny and drama when you have billions of dollars?

No more political dynasty's.

There have been two father-son dynasties. John Adams (1797-1801) and John Quincy Adams (1825-1829) and the Bushes, GHW - 1989, and son GW - 2001 - 2008.

Not sure about the Adams family, but the fact GHW Bush was former CIA director, in hindsight, was the telltale sign of danger. Few were talking about the deep state in the 1980's except perhaps Alex Jones. The bushes were deep state plants for sure.

All Trumps are outsiders - not making a living in DC.

“ Apparently, Obama, et al., thought Biden would be a lot easier to manipulate than it turned out to be. It would be such a hoot, historically, if it turned out if Jill was the money manager or brains of the group. Back in the Blue Dress era, one almost felt sorry for WJC for the nasty pile-on every day in the press. Don't let it come to that for Professor Biden of The Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement. Why it matters? Just deserts, that's why. ”

The best person to ask is Donald Trump.

So far, all jr has shown me is the ability to support his fathers goals. He is good at it but what can he do on his own? Time will tell I guess but one thing is for sure, Trumps daughter and her spouse are notably absent these days. Thats a good thing.

Jr. is an interesting person. He’s all “rah-rah” for his father, but doesn’t appear to want to invest too heavily in politics. Eric appears to have a head for running the Trump empire. So where does that leave Jr.? I like the guy and all, but he appears to be caught in the middle between politics and business, and having the time of his life.

Yes, it is interesting to ponder Don Jr's future. His father has been a one-in-a-million star-- Don Jr. will never be able to "compete" with his father's reputation, nor should he try.

BUT, Don Jr. does have definite talent and probably SHOULD have a future in politics--I can see him being a long time Lion in the Senate (i.e., like a Republican Ted Kennedy), or a long-time Speaker of the House. (I do not support term limits. We, the voters, are the ones responsible for limiting the terms of bad politicians.) We could sure use Don Jr's MAGA-strength as an anchor in Congress. That would be a very valuable and powerful way to cement MAGA well into the future. Don Jr. would then leave a legacy of true American statesmanship.

Or Don Jr. could be governor of New York State, and play a super-valuable role in breaking the back of Blue control of that state.

Perhaps, although I can imagine PDJT telling Jr. never to take a second-place spot like VP – it's a sign of weakness and a willingness to curry favor.

👍-And Project 2025 is the road map-Don may be disavowing it, but his top advisers' handprints are all over it.

There was no trouble within Trumps circles with project 2025 until they stepped out of their lane with a party platform.

Heritage Foundation?

David, welcome back-we missed your brilliant wit and withering sarcasm-still no blue button-sign up for a free one if Mooch is picked for VP.

Yep and most of the contents are anodyne, typical R proposals. Heritage is stronger on abortion issue, and I suspect (haven't read all 900 pages) more hardline on reducing the federal debt.

The Dems are so desperate that they will seize on any phrase to wave before low info voters--who know nothing about Project 2025 or anything else, fwiw.

I don't like the idea of family dynasties in politics. That's what gave us Justin in Canada.
