. . . Democrats and RINOs desperately are looking for some keys.
The Atlantic reported, “Why Biden Just Can’t Shake Trump in the Polls.”
The reason was buried in Paragraph 22: “There’s also a chance that new dynamics will break this equilibrium before November 2024. If Republicans nominate anyone other than Trump, that would create fresh opportunities and challenges for each side. A recession, though it seems less likely than it did earlier this year, could be devastating for Biden. And if a jury convicts Trump on any of the charges against him before the election, Democrats are cautiously optimistic that that could influence voters more than the indictments have. (McLaughlin counters that even with a conviction, independents might still prefer Trump, because many of them consider the charges politically motivated and also ‘because he’s viewed as better on the economy’ than Biden.)”
McLaughlin is Jim McLaughlin, Trump’s pollster. Trump suddenly is making the better-off-four-years ago argument.
The economy is only small part of the equation. The people see the indictments differently than the milquetoast media does. The indictments are so toxic to Democrats and RINOs that you should wear a moon suit if you have to visit Jack Smith or Fani Willis. Their offices could qualify for a Superfund cleanup.
Real Americans stand by Trump because they do not believe the allegations are worthy of prosecution. Convictions will not change that.
Reaction to the indictments should have warned Democrats that they may be mistaken about this election. They believe a series of trials will motivate Republicans to nominate someone else. The opposite is happening.
Already, Democrats are trying to get Trump banned from next year’s general election ballot because they say he is an insurrectionist. None of their 91 charges in four courts are for insurrection. In a constitutional republic, the courts would shut that down so fast that it would not even take a New York minute. We shall see how the courts handle this in the post-constitutional world we entered when they kicked Trump out of the White House.
Democrats believe televising the trials of a telegenic Trump will fix the election. Um, giving Trump nearly unlimited airtime killed Hillary’s chances for election. TV loves Trump.
But this time, it will be different.
Democrats also need to realize that an acquittal will demoralize their voters and a finding of guilt will make them believe the battle is won and they will leave the battlefield.
However, Democrats succeeded in getting people to believe in superstitions such as global boiling, cloth masks stopping a virus and men having periods, so we shall see how they spin it.
The indictments have raised the hopes for the Trump Hating Media. How odd that a media that fancies itself as the champion of civil rights willfully ignores the difference between an indictment — an accusation — and a conviction. You have to prove it in court.
All they have now is a mugshot — and boy did that backfire.
Of course, today’s media has no convictions at all. Witness how they rallied behind Diablo Jim Acosta when the Trump administration tried to his White House credentials but largely ignores the Biden administration’s attempts to ostracize Simon Ateba.
The unpleasant New York Times used its megaphone to ask: “Why Won't Simon Ateba Stop Shouting?”
Because it is the only way to get heard by this press secretary. Acosta occasionally did the same thing.
But stupidity and conformity are the coins of the realm in journalism in the 21st century. No one bothered to ask Fauci the Fraud how masks with holes solar-system larger than a virus can stop the virus. Three years later, the masks will be coming round the mountain again, riding six white horses.
That’s because DC is hunting for the keys to unlock the lock they fear President Trump has on next year’s election. We’ll see. But for now let us review the situation.
Since he left office, Democrats with the aid of a cheering press and a complicit RNC have launched 4 more insipid investigations into Trump, which has led to four sets of indictments. The press threw away the presumption of innocence.
The American people have not. They rally behind the man. This perplexes Democrats.
Donna Brazile now is so fearful of a second term for him that she may give DeSantis the questions in advance for the next RINO debate.
On Disney’s ABC, she said, “I’ve never seen anything like this with Donald Trump. I mean, what doesn’t kill you make you stronger? I mean, being convict — I mean, being indicted, that’s making him stronger? Raising $10 million using an ugly mugshot to raise money? This is a movement.”
The ugly mugshot. It was meant to knock him out of the race. It boomeranged.
How bad is it? The technicolor-haired Maureen Dowd wrote a column, “Catch the Smug Mug on That Thug!”
Readers couldn’t because the nepotistic NYT dared not use the actual mugshot to illustrate her column.
Dowd’s counterpart at the Wall Street Journal, Peggy Noonan, said the indictment may be Trump’s Waterloo. Wrong song, wrong man. McCain was the ABBA fan. Trump likes the Rolling Stones.
Noonan is having trouble keeping her Trump-Polar Disorder under control. She told of an encounter she had at a party in New York.
She wrote, “He quickly made his way to me to speak of his hero. He referred to the Abraham Accords and the economy and said: ‘Surely you can admit he was a good president.’
“He was all wound up, so I spoke slowly. ‘I will tell you what he is: He is a bad man. I know it, and if I were a less courteous person, I would say that you know it, too.’
“He was startled, didn’t reply, and literally took a step back. Because, I think, he does know it. But doesn’t ever expect it to be said.”
Oh she is so clueless.
We hear Orange Man Bad all the time — especially those Trump supporters in New York. What the man was doing was backing away from crazy. Being obsessed with that kind of hatred is unhealthy. Perhaps she should ask her priest about an exorcism.
Indictments will not stop Trump. Every one of his supporters is saying up yours to a government that uses the FBI to spy on Obama’s political opponents, a government that tried to reject Trump’s presidency by slow-walking his every command, a government that infiltrated a peaceful protest so that it could arrest and jail for up to 17 years Trump supporters, and a government that paid social media to censor Trump and his supporters.
Roll over, Maureen Dowd and tell Donna Brazile the news.
Maybe she heard. On ABC, Brazile said, “And anyone who thinks that you can apply the old political rules to try to defeat this candidate based on . . . he’s scary, he’s ugly, whatever you might want to call him, this is a movement, and we have to respect the fact that it’s a movement.”
She should be scared. I hope she and her ilk of idiots are mortified because the people are rising up against the old political rules that allowed the government to run roughshod over our rights.
The people are tired of leaving behind soldiers and equipment in Afghanistan. The people are tired of draining the treasury to subsidize Ukraine. The people are tired of the invasion along both of our borders now. The people are tired of homeless zombies on drugs taking over our cities. The people are tired of Hunter’s dad protecting him from prison after having written draconian drug laws that targeted black people.
Capeesh?
And I am just starting on the list of grievances. The mushrooms in the media sit in the dark in DC (in Noonan’s case, New York) and believe their own bullshit.
In a column, law professor Jonathan Turley pointed out Philip Bump of the Jeff Bezos Post still believes in the lies Democrats spread against Donald Trump. This drew a response from the nitwit newspaper.
On August 29, Turley wrote, “This morning, I was surprised to receive a note from the Washington Post on my prior criticism of the Post’s Philip Bump as previously spreading false stories and refusing to accept the facts after they were established by the media. The Post has declared that Bump’s original claims on Lafayette Park, the Hunter Biden laptop, and Russian collusion were true and they stand by them. In light of the unprompted review by the Post, I wanted to lay out what the Post is now embracing as true.”
Turley did just that. It was easy. He used stories in the Bezos Post to prove that Bump was wrong repeatedly. Bump refuses to admit it. Many in the media do.
Days later, Gabriel Hays — Fox News reported, “Liberal Washington Post journo [Bump] storms off Noam Dworman podcast over Biden question.
“A podcast episode went off the rails when the host insisted there was evidence Joe Biden knew about his son’s corruption with foreign business firms.”
Bump is a national reporter for the Bezos Post. I wonder how often he gets 25 miles outside the Beltway. National means Washington to journalists which is why they are shocked that people tune them out and support Trump.
Reihan Salam, president of the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, was on that same show Brazile was on. He pointed out that Trump actually studies up on the subjects at hand.
He said of Trump, “I’ll also just note that he’s been incredibly shrewd and disciplined when he’s focused on the political. This week, for example, he was trying to appeal to UAW members to talk about, for example, this effort to transition away from combustion engine vehicles.
“Now, that might not sound like a very wonky thing, but that’s what he’s very focused on and disciplined about when he’s campaigning.
“And I think for a lot of people, they feel like the talk about litigation — you know, these various charges, they consider that noise that is baked in, and when he’s focused on the issues, he speaks in a very accessible way that could be meaningful in a general election.”
Of course UAW members are worried about their jobs. Ford is bleeding money as it tries to go electric. When Ford runs out of money, its factories will close.
But mainly, Americans are worried about losing their freedom because Washington is making it illegal to vote for Donald Trump.
Maybe Democrats and RINOs should realize the key to stopping is dropping the charges and getting things done by closing the border and telling Zelensky to take a hike. But that is like trying to get a drunk to stay sober for a month.
And you take the keys away from a drunk.
I refuse to answer that poll.
Trump isn’t the only one on trial. America is on trial. The people prosecuting Trump aren’t patriotic Americans. They are Marxists and thieves. They know it too. They don’t believe in the rule of law or the Constitution. They are crooked lawfare henchmen. Trump’s ginned up prosecution by the Dems is like a guy accused of jaywalking being prosecuted by Pablo Escobar. If they get away with these Stalinist show trials, none of us are safe. Trump has been investigated more than any human in the history of the planet ( more money, more lawyers, more impeachment attempts, more deep state spooks and collaborators in the media) and they haven’t found one thing of substance. He’s squeaky clean. If you can’t figure this out by now, you’re an imbecile or a Democrat. No offense to imbeciles.
The next year is going to be continued craziness. The Dems may try to get Biden to step away but it’s getting a little late. Again the problem is the pervasive election cheating. And the RINOs who are in on it. This is the thing that has to be overcome and not sure how that happens with a crooked judiciary and crooked politicians.
Trump 2024. Because f-k Joe Biden and the rest of the Democrat mafia thieves.
Which one would I throw the anchor to? Neither one of them. I'd haul anchor and sail away.
