Forty-two GOP congresscritters refused to run for reelection in 2018, thus handing the House to the Democrats. They knew that would happen and did it because the Uniparty told them to. Paul Ryan himself led the way, so who, exactly, is the loser?

Don, you summed this up perfectly! Thank you. And on the topic of media irrelevance, I’ve been a cord cutter for about ten years. I watch TV streaming YouTubeTV plus other such services. YouTubeTV allows users to edit their programming guide so as to eliminate channels they never plan to watch. When I first subscribed to it, the first two channels I removed were CNN and MSNBC! They’re more than irrelevant to me, THEY ARE GONE and they’re NEVER coming back. (Truth be told I haven’t watched either of them in decades. Now I don’t even see them inadvertently.)

I'm with you in spirit, jimok, but haven't myself moved to streaming so far. I know nothing about YouTubeTV, but would be very suspicious of using it. YouTube is owned by Google, isn't it? And right after the 2020 Marxist election coup, I did definitely read that YouTube had brought 9 Chinese censors on staff.

I wouldn't want to do anything that supported YouTube, or gave YouTube a chokehold on my information access via TV.

Streaming program options are complex even after you get comfortable with the technology. As I said above, I’m a veteran streamer, over the years I’ve sampled several streaming services. I switched to streaming as a less expensive alternative to cable packages. However, I completely agree with you about YouTubeTV and Google. But I’m still saving money, and YouTubeTV is very similar to cable. Although it’s not the cheapest service available it’s still cheaper than cable.

Yeah, I sure wish there was a good alternative to cable-- my monthly cable bill is ridiculously astronomical. But it's helpful to hear that you, as a veteran streamer, do still find the streaming situation complex. It sure has seemed complex to me, but I wasn't really knowledgeable enough to assess it. So good to hear your assessment.

I went with Hulu over YouTube. Disney vs. Google. Google is far more evil.

Paul Ryan, full member of the board at Fox News, had to go on CNN to declare Trump is finished. Why couldn't he say the same on his own news channel...he said knowingly.

Splendidly written. Trump keeps these poisonous eels alive. And they bite the hand that feeds them.

Still unable to post on highlights. I'm almost computer illiterate, but I did manage to sign up to Google, get Gmail, and sign up for Disqus. It's almost as if I'm being kept off of highlights. Say it ain't so, Don.

While DJT is odds on favorite, unless swing states Republicans learn to ballot harvest and “play the game,” look for 47 to be M Obama.

President Trump is the only person I would vote for, all the rest are grifters, including DeSantis. Period.

Don's analysis is wrong.

People want to read and write about DJT, so he's relevant in that sense.

Huge numbers of voters won't accept him, however. They correctly perceive that he's impulsive and lacks emotional depth. It's not going to be enough to be a great manipulator of public opinion this time. He's not great enough for this challenge.

Whereas, Governor DeSantis is grounded, analytic, and well-spoken; and a wholly decent man in his private life.

If the Republicans give in to DJT, they will regret; and many of them know it.

The primaries are going to be a terrible surprise for the old man.
