On another topic, barely 2 weeks after the California Legislature passed -- and Governor Nuisance signed -- 3 bills outlawing AI-generated "deep-fake" videos, the federal District Court for the eastern district of California has granted a preliminary injunction against enforcement of that legislation, arguing that:
"Supreme Court precedent illuminates that while a well founded fear of a digitally manipulated media landscape may be justified, this fear does not give legislators unbridled license to bulldoze over the longstanding tradition of critique, parody, and satire protected by the First Amendment. YouTube videos, Facebook posts, and X tweets are the newspaper advertisements and political cartoons of today, and the First Amendment protects an individual’s right to speak regardless of the new medium these critiques may [use].”

If the money from defunding Planned Parenthood MUST be given to a different group (and I'm not at all sure that the federal government has any business giving money to non-government organizations -- consider the savings!! -- then give it to religiously affiliated adoption groups. That's because in various states, adopting parents have been disqualified for holding non-WOKE views about the Left's favorite causes.
Don, we are waiting for photos of the grandkids. Everyone I know (including myself) always shares those photos with friends, colleagues, and complete strangers. I know the Surber Nation would love to see them.
