First, I want to thank you for not only being subscribers but super subscribers. Your support is very encouraging and very satisfying. I feel that I should give you a little something more. Today I do as I share a little more about my personal life.
Most of my founding members really are founders who go back with me decades. Some go back to when I was with the Charleston Daily Mail, a publication that died months after I left. A few go earlier than that.
One reader sent me the first thing that I had published — an interview with folk singer John Bassette in 1973. Somebody preserved it and displayed it at the Hessler Street Fair in Cleveland, which he helped found. I had no copy. Now I do. My daughter was impressed when she read it.
