The Dems are are so cocky about their ability to steal this election, (just as they did in 2020, only now on steroids), they feel they could run a serial killer and still win.

And considering our border situation - or total lack thereof - and all the murderers running rampant in our streets, they kind of are.

Jim Gaffican is intentionally and skillfully funny. Wa;lz is just a bad joke. *** Scaramucci isn't entirely wrong. There is a certain truth to Nikki Haley matching up with Harris. Haley is just as black and says some of the dumbest things while their political successes rest on the basis of being women. *** When you realize that all of the talking heads and writers in the media are employed to serve you propaganda, you will accept we are living Orwell's 1984. *** I am hearing first and second hand reports from friends in NC. FEMA is blocking private helicopter operations and confiscating donated supplies that were collected by charitable organizations. Life saving rescues are being curtailed and the confiscated supplies are now sitting at staging areas rather than being distributed. If I were in the midst of such crimes, I would be hard pressed to refrain from using a rope and the nearest trees.

I have worked in the search and rescue community. FEMA is demonstrating how not to conduct operations. We all know the agency's performance is designed this way from the top. We also know the billions spent on Covid relief and support for illegals is just another way of saying "Democratic corruption and theft is operating on a grand scale."

I’ll hide this down here.

When someone claims Milton is your fault, ask them to explain The Great Hurricane of 1780. It is the Atlantic Hurricane with the highest death toll. (20k+)Winds estimated at 200 mph. It happened during The Little Ice Age. ( It may have contributed to the victory at Yorktown in October of 1780 as it substantially weakened British navel power in the Atlantic.)

Some good news--naturally private citizens to the rescue:

https://nypost.com/2024/10/07/us-news/redneck-air-force-is-bringing-aid-to-nc-when-fema-came-up-short/

And it doesn't hurt that Elon Musk is Starlink owner--when the DOT was blocking them he complained on X. Subsequently (according to Musk in his interview with Tucker, posted last night), Pete Buttiegieg called him to "clear it up"--problem at least partially solved.

Then again, the lack of broadband is 100% on the Biden/Harris administration as they cancelled the original FCC contract (let in Dec 2020) which would have provided Starlink far earlier to places like Western NC.

Side note--of the iirc $42B allocated to rural broadband there were, as of this summer exactly ZERO rural connections. And our gal Kamala was the broadband "csar"

Geez, seems like Kamala as a "Csar" is imitating the failures of Tsar Nicholas

The Obama-Biden-Harris admin has "spent" billions on such things as EV charging stations and Internet service to rural areas but the bottom line is always the same. The money disappears into Dem donors and cronies while producing nothing for taxpayers.

Jim, I read somewhere earlier today that FEMA has become infested with the DEI virus

Expand full comment

That is absolutely true. DEI is the standard for all federal agencies and the military under Biden-Harris

Expand full comment

This is truly a new low for FEMA who in the past has always seemed to me to be a well organized, efficient operation, however, thank God, I've never had to be on the receiving end of their giving. I lived in Austin when we had the Memorial Day flood and that was a doozy. They, or someone was receiving clothing donations at some empty parking garage and I joined with many others who cleaned out our closets to donate whatever we could. That operation flowed very smoothly and efficiently like a well oiled machine

Expand full comment

FEMA has a mandate to assist - underline assist - and coordinate local resources as in government assistance programs. What FEMA is doing in the wake of Helene far exceeds its authority. FEMA managers are confiscating private resources, threatening private organizations, threatening private citizens attempting to help their fellow citizens and blocking efforts of those who are legally beyond FEMA's mandate. In other words, FEMA is another rogue organization led by outlaws.

This is why Vance did a masterful job not falling for the trap set in the debate. The debate was set up to appeal to undecided women who would view JD as a meany head just like his boss. Trouble was he is a lot smarter that these three women and it backfired on them. He took all the loaded questions and handled them with grace and diplomacy. Just the way vacuous women who are undecided like to hear.

One of Don Surber's finest. My favorite part:

"The selection of Walz was a fairy tale. A regular guy. A National Guardsman. A schoolteacher. A moderate. A fellow who put tampons in the boys’ room. A fellow who quit the National Guard rather than go to Iraq. A schoolteacher in Red China for a year. A friend of school shooters. A knucklehead."

Pure comedic genius.

Needless to say, I want Trump/Vance to be elected. But that wish is separate from the conclusion I've reached about Kamala's personality, which is peculiar without precedent in our history. But just calling it "peculiar" will not do. Instead, "dangerous" and "risky" are more accurate terms.

First of all, it is an incontrovertible truth that in politics, WORDS count above all. But when publicly speaking she continually loses track of her own verbiage, repeatedly spouting meaningless clichés 'till even some diehard Dems scratch their heads. No matter how you look at this, it is not a sign of great intelligence, nor of self-control or of self-awareness. Wars have started over mere words.

Secondly, we have learned -- from Democrats, no less -- that in private she bullies her staff, spouting obscenities and imposing rules of conduct you might expect of potentates like Ivan the Terrible. And the people subjected to this abuse are the least deserving ones -- again, because they're Democrats, who tend to venerate their politicians as Saviors.

These observable oddities add up to a very risky personality, the kind who, if undeservedly elected to the country's highest office, may make moves that serve no good purpose except to compensate for her own insecurity. In plain words, it's tough to be stupid, but stupid does as stupid is, and stupidity can create big messes, in a hurry.

For examples, check the YouTube videos about big buildings or big equipment that fail catastrophically because of one stupid person.

Very perceptive. Yet the media, even the conservative media, has been devoid of even armchair psychoanalysis of Kamala’s bizarre personality. Her instinctual Marxism and authoritarianism is wrapped in layers of insecurity to mask her mediocre intellect.

You may be right about that, Marlan, including that with alcoholics the effects will vary with their personalities, usually intensifying their negative traits. Take Hillary, for example ... Unlike Kamala, who gets boozy-silly, Hillary's Chardonnay just makes her more nasty-mean.

In both cases, the results are there for everyone to see.

Frankly, I don’t think Willie had set a high bar. I had a 6 year stint working in ‘The City’ during his reign. Homelessness oozed over from the tenderloin to the financial district. Aggressive panhandlers and the stench from urine soaked sidewalks are what I most remember from those days…oh and the mentally ill schizophrenic mumblers roaming freely, defecating while leaning against the closest high rise. It was a daily obstacle course making it into work with the inmates on every corner.

Then there was the AID’s crises, still in full bloom and the added gift of Father Fauci pontificating on the nightly news creating false hope abt a vaccine. Anyone with any sense at all could see he was a grifter just like Willie and the hand jive arm piece. Dante’s inferno? Close enough.

Good morning, all.

The media...<<Le Sigh>>

We have a new puppy, a rescue. 5 month old Boxer/Pit mix. Easily distracted by things that go "Squeak". Bring a laser pointer into the mix, and oh, boy. He resembles the Lamestream Media in a way: becomes so focused on something - a smell, usually - that if he's not on a lead, he will not look at or listen to anyone else, as if they have no existence. The way the lamestream yahoos act in regard to news that doesn't reflect their narrative, actively goes against it, or they simply don't want to see it.

Luckily, JB responds very well to treats and praise. I think he'll be a fine gentleman when he gets older. (Good thing, too. His 3.5 yo sisters, Louie and Fenris, are busy "educating" him in household etiquette. He might even survive. LOL)

Have a great day, everyone.

However, it ticked me to consider that Biden does love his treats (like ice cream) and squeaky toys (all that $$ from China, Ukraine, etc as well as fake adulation from the MSM and Hollywood).
