When I first heard then name " Kaitlan Collins" I had never heard of her. I also thought "Who did she piss off at CNN to get handed such an assignment?" To me, Ms. Collins is set for life. Yes, Mr. Trump destroyed her as he would anyone who tried, but CNN had to do SOMETHING to pull their ratings out of the toilet and. for the moment, they did.

As I did in 2016 and 2020, I will proudly support Mr. Trump in 2024 and here is my dream ticket: Donald Trump. For VP Kari Lake and for press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany. The liberal media would cease to exist.

Kayleigh McEnany has turned on Trump. Kari Lake would be a great press secretary.

I don't understand why they turn on Trump -- Kayleigh, Jenna Ellis, Steve Cortes. What is the real reason?

Where did you get your information about Mr. Trump? I have heard some comments about Mr. Trump, but it seems to me she is just letting the public know she doesn't blindly belong to anyone. To me, that is a good attribute to have.

The only slight change I'd like to see to your 'dream team' line up would be having either Tucker or Dan Bongino as White House Press Secretary. Either or both would eviscerate the lying dissembling "press". Kaleigh was very good, and certainly telegenic, but I don't think delivered as strong a punch as Tucker or Dan would be able to do.

Expand full comment

In a sense, I agree with you and I have thought of Tucker Carlson in that role. The reason I would stick with Ms. McEnany is that she is a tried and true veteran of the of the morass that is Washington DC. She has a beautiful smile and on more than one occasion, she let that smile of hers show as she was pulling the proverbial sword out of the hearts of many male D.C. correspondents

I think Tucker is largely independent, but he reminds me enough of Tony Snow to see him in that capacity.

Hey MisterTony. Regarding the downhill slide of The Media in the United States, have a look at this article from 2016:

https://www.commentary.org/articles/james-rosen/bob-woodwards-sins-omission/

It's a book review entitled, "Bob Woodward's Sins Of Omission" written by the excellent investigative journalist, James Rosen.

In this very compelling article, Mr. Rosen shows how U.S. Navy intelligence officer Bob Woodward was the Pentagon's point-man in removing Richard Nixon while at the same time repurposing the mission of news reporting in the English-speaking world.

Expand full comment

Ah yes, the Woodward-Bernstien team. A lot of that did ring a bell as I continued reading. The 'Deep Throat's true ID as a suspect has been questioned for many years, but I will tell you something NO book on Watergate ever will. Did you know that Hilary Clinton was actually removed from the prosecutors staff for being "Too dishonest.". I believe Ms. Clinton is the ONLY person to ever be removed from a legal case in D.C. history for such a reason. Thank you for the update.

Expand full comment

I remember seeing Hillary's name mentioned in conjunction with the Democrat side of the Watergate investigation. Had she already married Bill? Was she just getting started in politics.? The lawyer in charge of the Democrat procedure was appalled by Hillary's ease with breaking the law for political advantage. How times have changed--and not for the better!

It has been too long for me to accurately comment on the Watergate issue any more. Remember the book 1984? On it, it said "The more things change, the more things remain the same."

Your last comment "How times have changed......". Bill and Hilary Clinton et al, unleashed an evil unparalleled in history upon the earth and they had lots of help. If you don't yet Pray, now is as good a time as any to start.

I don't have the time right now to elaborate about the whole Watergate issue, but I never believed a word of their BS "investigative reporting.". For one thing, why would Nixon have given two shitz about a burglary? I look forward to reading what you have to say.

The sad devolution of mainstream American journalism into nothing more than continuous carpet bombing of the population with neo-Marxist propaganda and fabricated lies about innocent people who are politically “deplorable” has been one of the most destructive aspects of our civic decline. Anything that makes these worms squirm is fine by me. You gotta love Trump for his cojones and unflappable resolve in the face of these rabid cretins. This is all part of the game plan to make Mr. Trump the nominee and then steal the election in 24 with Democratic shenanigans. Cable news is dangling over the precipice. People increasingly ignore them and tune them out as many inherently assume the opposite of their narrative is truth. Tucker Carlson singularly outperforming all of them together from Twitter is an indication the new platforms (that are free of corporate Big Tech control) will play a crucial role going forward. CNN accepted the easy layup over its prime time competitors, but its corporate leaders will rein them in. The most encouraging development is people finally see Fox News as part of the same gaggle. It’s what the swamp wants Republican learners to see. As cable companies see unreasonable carrier fees, their business models will shift to accommodate the cord cutters. All of them have seen their streaming offerings fail miserably (as Tucker so accurately derided FoxNation). Cable news will only be relevant to those well over 60 after the 2024 cycle.

What they were upset about was that Trump was allowed to discuss realities with which they are totally unfamiliar, such as the fact that during his Presidency we as a country were energy independent, that there was <2% inflation, that people were employed, the economy was working, and the border secure. They cannot discuss the policy issues because they have no policy ideas of their own that would work and they are paid to support those with policy ideas that destroy the country, so they harp on the fact that he believes the 2020 election was rigged. Those in the media who are crying are being paid to say the election was not rigged. When asked if he would state tonight, that he would accept the results of the next election, Trump said (I am paraphrasing), "Yes if it is a fair election and not rigged." The media people just don't have good answers to his honesty, because they are paid to be liars. When you are being paid to lie to people every day, don't you just hate it when someone comes along and speaks the truth openly and freely, and isn't afraid of your opinion of him?

Expand full comment

"CNN invited Donald Trump to lie on its airwaves for over an hour on Wednesday night." So the audience just heard a different set of lies from the ones they normally do. Not sure I see the problem, other than people like Anderson Cooper hate competition.

"CNN is a major American cable news outlet whose viewers trust that they are being given accurate reporting of events to the best of the network’s ability." No, CNN's viewers trust that they won't be exposed to any ideas or even facts that don't reinforce their twisted worldview.

"Apparently to Ali whiteness is evil." And there is what this is all about. How dare those "white" people get above themselves and worry about inflation and failing banks and foreign wars instead of the "oppression" of Barack Obama and Van Jones and Wajahat Ali.

I love the gif by the way. That was perfect.
