Anyone paying attention has noticed the increased frequency of Biden's brain freezes. Unlike the State of the Union, Biden will have to actually think about what he is going to say and put together those thoughts in words. No notes and no earpiece to nudge him when his brain locks up. My hunch is this week of Biden 'preparation' is to test the drug cocktail on him to see its effectiveness. Biden memorizing anything at this point in his dementia is a red herring being trolled by the MSM.

I’ve been wondering about what all of those experimental cocktails and the practice of standing for 90 minutes will have done to Pedo Joe by Thursday night. He should be exhausted from the standing and the mock debates and his brain has surely been damaged by the cocktails bouncing it all around his skull. Seems to me that he’s ripe to blow a fuse mid-debate, especially if Trump prods him even a bit.

Funny you should say that.

I’ve been thinking the overload of pharmaceuticals that they’ve been foisting into Biden these past 3+ years have got to be making him a ticking time bomb for a stroke or some such adverse physical event.

It could also explain the appearance of rapid decline in him of late - it’s gonna catch up with you sooner or later, and his body, not to mention his mind, will have zero ability to “bounce back”, just even more rapidly decline or fail altogether.

Sad. These people are malevolent.

Although he and his wicked wife are probably “all in” on the gambit.

I really don’t think that an earpiece would work in this case. Pedo Joe can’t remember more than 2-3 words at a time and he would have to stop and listen, then repeat the words and then stop and listen again. I guess if his handlers want to get rid of him and make him look even more demented, they can try it.

Still not a reason to watch a country trying to pretend this spectacle matters. Most will be watching to see Biden make a fool of himself or freeze. The rest will be watching to see if Trump is the bully they think he is. Just 90 minutes of wasted time.

The fact that a special counsel found FJB incompetent to stand trial for mishandling classified material yet can somehow be President and indeed run for a second term demonstrates the terminal nature of this once great republic. The so called debate is irrelevant.

I am with you on this issue, Don. I haven’t watched a debate since Reagan. Thats the truth. I don’t vote on camera appeal or because someone misspoke. They are a complete waste of my time. If someone is so undecided about a candidate that they need the debates to choose one, they have no idea what matters. The debates are more about showmanship than substance. Trump is winning on ideas and the poor performance of the current regime. Im not going to second guess Trump here but what is to be gained from this event? Biden is losing on his own so why take a chance on inadvertently helping him? There is a major reset happening in politics today. Both parties are at the end of an era of sorts. The Democrats will likely learn nothing from the election results and double down on their radical side. The only people who believe their rhetoric is the DNC. They have been dying for a couple decades now. The Democrats problem is they have become too corrupt and can no longer cover it up. People know when they are being lied to and ignored. The GOP will say, “see, we won because of our ideas”, never admitting that party voters are fed up with their talk tough, do-nothing history. We are going to see big changes in the GOP in the next four years, not by choice but because Trump will force it to happen. Mr McConnell and Mr. Johnson will not be in leadership come 2028. The party is either going to change and start fixing this country or die with the Dem party. The debates will change no ones mind. They will only boost ratings for the dying cable news industry temporarily.

Sad thing is, it will only make it painfully obvious to the knowing and further anger them. The unknowing will never admit their mistakes. Cynical Dan here: This debate will start with two words: convicted felon and swiftly move into areas where Trump has the banana republic 'gag' order.

I pray that Trump will emulate his "All In" podcast performance by being relaxed and smoothly return any 'convicted felon' nonsense right back to the Biden family.

Expand full comment
Suzie's avatar

Interesting point re: the gag orders. I’d thought about that just the other day. It would be a most clever ploy.

The ”table turn” for that is for Trump is to respond by merely noting, while unable to answer the question directly due to such constraints, at least he has been found to be competent to stand trial at all, “unlike yourself Joe.”

And then, when Biden tries to defend his competency, get him to promise to release his deposition video. Win-win.

I can’t think of any reason to let Joe Biden debate anybody except to disqualify Joe Biden as a candidate. He can’t even give a prepared speech for more than a few seconds before going off the rails. There’s no way he will be able to go toe to toe extemporaneously against President Trump. I just can’t figure out at this point who the Dems, or how the Dems, can come up with a candidate who people like and overcome all the procedural issues to get them on the ballot. Of course, breaking laws and procedures is not really an obstacle for the psycho Commie party of Hamas and the Bud Light girl. I’m sure there will be mucho subterfuge between now and November.

Yes Don, the nondebate clown shows should be ended. But please, you could have made your point without insulting soccer fans the world over. Soccer matches are scheduled for 90 total minutes and are guaranteed to have more interesting moments than any modern US Presidential debate. It has always been so. Even the vaunted Kennedy-Nixon debate is best remembered for Nixon's ghostlike appearance. (He refused to wear makeup.) *** Sadly, that first televised debate usured in the modern era of electing the most photogenic pols. Substance of thought and character were jettisoned in favor of image. *** Today Americans are being subjected to a "Let's all get excited" moment. Viewer discretion is advised. The entertainment will be presented by indefatigable Trump basher Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, former wife of the CIA Chief of Staff who swore under oath the Hunter Biden computer was Russian disinformation. Those two Dem operatives will entertain viewers with their standard Trump bashing while shielding a drugged up Biden as much as possible. Whoopee! *** I have a more appealing alternative. I'll be watching some new paint dry.

It is so sad to me that our “President” ish will have a tag team match with our President and have two extras on his side leading the way and protecting him. I think debates could be useful but not the ones we have had since 1960. I missed that debate because it must have been past my bedtime. Instead of “journalist” or more aptly said democrats with press credentials asking questions why can the candidates ask questions. That way we can learn a number of things. What the candidates think we the people think is important and how the other candidate answers. It will also give us some idea of how they handle pressure. The debates I have seen since I set my own bed time have been more about the “journalist” than the public.
