Left's spin on Durham

John Durham ended his investigation of the FBI lying and spying on Donald Trump at the behest of Obama. Instead of sending anyone to prison for this sedition and treachery, Durham placed a 316-page letter in their permanent record.

The deep state broke the law and used Durham to rub our noses in it. What are we going to do? Josh Hawley said break up the FBI. That won’t affect Comey, Obama and the rest of the criminals who created and promoted Russiagate.

Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, said, “As confirmed by Durham: Obama knew. Clinton knew. Biden knew. Comey knew. Brennan knew. McCabe knew. Strzok knew. Clapper knew. Schiff knew. FBI knew. DOJ knew. They all knew Trump was innocent but they smeared and spied on him. Worse than Watergate. Trump is a crime victim!”

He is right — and there is not one damned thing readers can do about this miscarriage of justice. Did I say miscarriage? It is an abortion. And they got away with it because no one in Washington will hold anyone in Washington accountable. It is the code of the totalitarians.

Readers should not be surprised. On September 18, 2021, I wrote in my old blog, “I go by track record, and John Durham's track record shows he is a good investigator and a smart bureaucrat. He will go just deep enough in his prosecutions to satisfy the public but not so far as to endanger the establishment.

“I base this on the Whitey Bulger case. He was a gangster in Boston who was politically connected. His brother Billy became President of the Massachusetts Senate. Upon retirement, he became a well-paid bureaucrat in the state college system.

“His other brother was Jackie, a court clerk magistrate who after retirement went to prison for fixing grand juries.

“Beginning in 1975, Whitey served as an informant for the FBI. This protected him and allowed him to rat out his competition. It was a pretty good deal that ended in 1994 when the DEA got a RICO indictment on him. State and local police helped the investigation as the DEA iced the racketeer-influenced corrupt FBI out of the deal.

“Sadly, one of his FBI cronies learned about the indictment, told Bulger, and he skipped town. There was a manhunt for him and ironically, the FBI eventually placed him on its most wanted list, right behind Osama bin Laden.

“Janet Reno later sent Durham in to investigate. He convicted the agent who tipped Whitey off, and he indicted a retired FBI agent who also helped Whitey. The retiree died before he was tried.

“That's nice.

“What about Senate President Billy Bulger?

“What about the supervisors at the FBI?

“What about the U.S. attorneys who prosecuted Whitey’s rivals?

“Durham did the minimum and got an Attaboy out of it.”

Do you know what being right about this gets me? Nothing. Nada. I don’t get any satisfaction because the Clouseau Investigation by Bullshit Durham let Obama, Hillary, Biden and a pack of scum buckets who received million-dollar book deals (aka payoffs) get the last laugh on America.

The Left embraced the report with outrage for the money spent. The cognitive dissonance for money spent on the equally useless Mueller Report goes unprotested.

The Jeff Bezos Post said, “William P. Barr’s effort to pre-spin the Mueller report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election might be the most controversial episode of his tenure as Donald Trump’s attorney general. But Barr also went pretty far in repeatedly previewing what special counsel John Durham would supposedly find in his investigation of those investigating Trump’s ties to Russia.

“The results of the newly released Durham report, while undoubtedly reflecting poorly on the FBI, don’t live up to Barr’s hype.

“Since the Durham probe began in 2019, Barr has offered some extraordinary comments seeming to prejudge its outcome. The thrust was unmistakable: that the Trump-Russia investigation appeared to be an overtly political effort to take down Trump — effectively, that it was the ‘witch hunt’ Trump claimed it was.”

Readers may be confused. The report said the FBI had no evidence of Trump and Russia colluding. Readers may ask, how can the Bezos Post lie like that?

The short answer is it lies about everything. The longer answer is everyone in Washington knows what happened but they expect the hometown paper — a fanboi of the deep state — to spin the story so not only do they get to cheer victory but they get to cheer a major loss for America, a country they no longer believe they live in.

So the Bezos Post said, “Durham’s investigation resulted in just one guilty plea, with a sentence of probation, for altering an email — a case that was effectively handed to Durham by the DOJ’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz. The other two prosecutions resulted in not-guilty verdicts.

“And now Durham’s report provides little evidence to substantiate Barr’s underlying theory of the case.”

Hamas-shielding AP followed the lead of the Bezos Post.

AP bellowed, “An investigation into the origins of the FBI’s probe into ties between Russia and Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign has finally been concluded, with prosecutor John Durham submitting a much-awaited report that found major flaws.

“The report, the culmination of a four-year investigation into possible misconduct by U.S. government officials, contained withering criticism of the FBI but few significant revelations. Nonetheless, it will give fodder to Trump supporters who have long denounced the Russia investigation. Meanwhile Trump opponents will likely point to the Durham team’s meager court record — one guilty plea and two acquittals at trial — as proof that the probe was a politically motivated farce.”

Once again the tax-exempt former news service spikes the ball in the face of Trump’s electorate. AP is your Truth Denier.

The New York Daily News dashed out an editorial, “Russia, Russia, Russia was real: Special Counsel John Durham spent four years not finding the FBI conspiracy that Trump and Barr claimed.”

That’s an odd logic. Mueller and his vaunted report found no evidence of Russiagate but because Durham could not get a conviction against Democrats in Democrat DC, this somehow shows Russiagate was real.

The NYDN is liberal which means its logic is always odd.

For whatever reasons lefties concoct, they say the Durham investigation was a waste of time and money.

I totally agree. Everyone knew no one would go to prison. Everyone knew Comey and the rest acted like the Gestapo in spying on President Trump and no one will pay for this act of totalitarian terrorism.

But Trump asked Bill Barr to do something about this injustice. And so the two-faced AG appointed Durham to go through the motions of an investigation. It was doomed from the start.

No justice, no peace. It is not a protest slogan. It is the mission statement of our federal government today. Expect more injustice and more war because these bastards got away with it again. Until there are consequences instead of rewards, this evil will continue.
