Thank you, Don! With so many other super important issues to deal with, I just can’t get worked up about the Epstein Saga. The only person we highly suspect is on the list who concerns me is John Roberts and nothing will happen to him either. I’d much rather that Bondi, et al, spend their energy dismantling the Deep State.

The poll today could have been an “all of the above” but I voted for Comey, for no other reason, though there are many, than that he let the evil witch of Chappaqua walk.

Joe LaGreca's avatar

But it would be great if Roberts could be forced to step down. Then we may get a true conservative to run SCOTUS.

Joe Baugh's avatar

Fat chance of that. He's not the worst that could be there as KJB has illustrated.

Dutchmn007's avatar

Indeed - poll today should have included a sixth choice: “All of the above”. Alright, been slinging a fair amount of mud as of late in Bondi’s direction; hopefully things are AOK as you say. Just seems like there’s never any accountability for whatever these people (Dems specifically) do. They always seem to get away with it then thumb their noses @ the American people with the corporate media applauding. Slick Willie’s been doing it for decades as has the Hildabeast, she steals crockery from the White House, wipes her servers clean/smashes hard drives & then giggles about it. Nasty P Lousy gets mega rich from insider trading & gets uber indignant if anyone (see “Kroft, Steve”) asks about it. Need I bring up the two demonically possessed FBI agents - Peter Strøk & his paramour - who attempted to stop DJT from taking office in 2016? Or Michael Byrd who shoots an unarmed Ashley Babbitt in cold blood & gets lauded by the Capitol Police/Congressional Democrats.

If these transgressions continue to go unpunished there will only be more of them, & they will get infinitely more egregious.

David Grieve's avatar

The challenge is if they succeed in destroying Trump and the 2026 election loses what little advantage Trump has--we are finished with any reform. I believe if the big ones fall--FBI, DOJ, CIA ,others-- like Epstein will also fall. The Epstein mess is small potatoes compared to the attempted coup perpetrated by the Deep State. FOCUS. FOCUS. FOCUS.

Subvet's avatar

I have a feeling the DOJ is going to bring many of these people to justice. How sweet would it be to see Adam Schiff in an orange jumpsuit?

Dutchmn007's avatar

Amen to that! There have to be repercussions otherwise this nonsense will not only continue but snowball!

That said - sidebar: thank you for your service! Sub vets have a special place in my heart as my late father was one. He served during the Korean War era in two Balao-Class boats: USS Sea Poacher (SS 406) & the USS Sea Cat (SS 399). He loved it! He was a Quartermaster & also a diver (Mark V hardhat). Said the movie “Das Boot” really was the apogee of submarine pictures, especially when it came to diesel boats. #veterans are a neat bunch & been honoring them for their service with this ongoing documentary project: www.shotandastory.org . If you’re so inclined the invitation is open! ;<)

Subvet's avatar

Ill take a look. Yeah boat sailors are a very small fraternity. I rode nukes but have a ton of respect for the DBF guys. My roommate was a diver. SCUBA

07/15/25: An unfairly overlooked, and if read, neglected history --- highly recommended!:

"Shadow Divers, [The search for the German U-Boat 869]," by Robert Kurson; Random House (2004 hardcover).

Dutchmn007's avatar

Read it! Top notch! They discovered that U-boat before diving with mixed gas had really become a thing & going that deep (230ft) with compressed air is fraught with complications & dangers. Cost that father & his son their lives. That’s one thing my Dad always drilled into me after getting me NAUI Certified @ age 12: never violate the rules because you’re dead! There’s no second chances. And never panic: which served me well on my first open water dive when I got nitro narked; forgot to check my air pressure gauge & breathed my tank dry & 100ft. Praise God the guy I was diving with had an octopus, so here I am.

Don Reed's avatar

07/15/25: Your life was spared so that someday, the wit of Don Surber would counteract the pain of seeing Obama and Biden trying (but failing) to destroy the country. Great story, thank you!

Don Reed's avatar

P.S. His publicity blurb states that the book was a "best-seller."

Based on near-unanimous experience, all PR blurbs are assumed to be lies until proven otherwise (sometimes I get the feeling that the last legit "best-seller" was H. Allen Smith's superbly hilarious "Low Man On The Totem Pole" --- and that was in 1941).

And it is child's play to make any book a "best seller":

Just invent dozens "categories" of books / book sales and this Japanese sub-filing slight-of-hand instantly propels almost all of the titles to the top rankings because of the reduced number of competitors in each ""category" ("Best Seller! How To Send Your Spats to The Dry Cleaners," by Hunter Biden).

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

Stripes are more apt for such a stinker.

Jeremy R's avatar

Roberts was appointed by Bush. Expecting conservative values? We didn't get them from Dubya did we.

Grumpy Oldman's avatar

The interesting thing to me about W nominating Robert’s to the Supreme Court is that there was no serious pushback from the communists.

That was a huge RED FLAG but the Deep State GOP-e traitors & RINO’s didn’t seem to care.

Dutchmn007's avatar

Unfortunately Dubya turned out to be a total fraud. The fact that “his daddy” got so buddy-buddy with Der Schlickmeister after the ‘92 loss is illuminating; dovetails into my learned belief that DC is occupied by a Uniparty, in effect two wings of the same party.

Jeremy R's avatar

Check out America's untold stories on YouTube. They have some great information on daddy. He was a CIA frontman among other things, deepstate.

VICKI's avatar

It was a difficult choice, my fave would have been Pelosi but that's unlikely, poor old soul. But Comey, he's been on my list since he let HRC go free. I want to see him in stripes.

Don Reed's avatar

07/15/25: This country has truly turned into a RINO Alcatraz if there are five excellent candidates (BASTARDS) for prosecution and the poll is roughly split evenly five ways.

EAWass's avatar

You make a great point. If I could, I’d change my vote…

Adorable Deplorable's avatar

Jury is still out on Bondi. But let's not forget she lied to us on multiple occasions. Sure, maybe she is taking one for the team. Maybe not.

I will forgive and forget when and ONLY when a Brennan, Comey, Clapper, or ANY Deep State operative of equal stature is led out of their house in leg irons by a SWAT team... with NEWSMAX filming every second.

donald b welch's avatar

you pretty much summed it up for me ad.

i voted for trump three times and he's doing better than anyone else in my lifetime has done. trump is a born problem solver. i just thought of something so here goes...

donald j. trump is the macgyver of the 21st century (so far) with no one else coming close.

VICKI's avatar

For me, PDJT is a "real man".....or my idea of one. A Superman who doesn't back down from what he believes. The term "wimp" will never describe him. Now sometimes he should think before he speaks but at least he seems to be always thinking and planning and I like that. Todays' Frontline makes me more likely than ever to take part in doing away with "public" broadcasting as the entire program is making comments against him. I also voted for him three times and would again if I could.

donald b welch's avatar

well said. i didn't vote for trump in spite of his brass but because of it.

james garrett's avatar

THIS! Word-for-Word agree, AD

NNTX's avatar

My take is that we should not let perfect be the enemy of the good. Is there real evidence of an Epstein "list"? Listened to Ben Shapiro discuss this yesterday and he made a lot of sense.

According to Dershowitz there are affidavits (due to lawsuits from victims) with names redacted. Since he was Epstein's attorney I think his testimony is valid.

Meanwhile we should get on with MAGA projects. If the narrow scope of the law will allow us to indict and bring consequences to Clapper, Comey, Brennan ad nauseum all to the good. They will face eternal justice ultimately.

Gail W's avatar

TOTALLY AGREE!!👍

VICKI's avatar

And preferably while it's still dark outside and they are in bed in their jammies, just like they did to the Stones. Elephants and Women never forget!!!

TeaPartyGal's avatar

Yep, I'm with you on this, Don; thank you for writing this column. The poll serves the purpose of reminding us how many other prime targets need to be pursued in lieu of the deceased Epstein.

Bondi, Kash, and Dan Bongino are working in a pressure cooker, and the Left would be THRILLED to undercut them by inciting them to fight with eachother, and/or to stir up dissension in the MAGA base. In this situation, Trump was the steady "parent" who is supporting his valiant Three Musketeers while they get their "sea legs" under them. Trump has also mentioned repeatedly that Bondi and Kash are (among other things) currently focused on election fraud. These 3 can do great things for us; let's all settle down and let them get on with it.

Also, there is a definite strain of sexism in operation when it comes to the harsh critics of Bondi. A number of people seem to feel free to bash and smear her "with glee"--which says alot more about them and some underlying anger they have at women, than it does about her.

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

Well put and close to my way of thinking TPG, dissention is not helpful.

NNTX's avatar

Yes I noticed that too TPG. A mean streak of cattiness in evidence.

Adorable Deplorable's avatar

Think an awful lot of us would like to think this time it will be different. But after decades of lying, cheating, stealing and deception it's not easy.

Danimal28's avatar

One of her top priorities should be prosecuting Michael Byrd for murdering Ashli Babbitt. I will forgive Bondi's helping Benjamin Crump in the Zimmerman case(Trayvon) if she does this among others.

"As usual, I am going with Trump on this one. It is a matter of priorities."

Exactly. Trump knows this is a 'squirrel' moment to derail his economic priorities; we all know there are no 'files' or his team will never find anything on Epstein. Move on.

Trump is a master of letting his enemies out themselves.

Joe LaGreca's avatar

100% agree on going after Michael Byrd

Laurie's avatar

I'll be thrilled if they ever release all the promised, unedited, J6 video. Prove to me it was a spontaneous attack and not an "insurrection" planned and executed by Pelosi and her minions.

Danimal28's avatar

I think it would set a BIGLY precedent.

Adorable Deplorable's avatar

He's black. Untouchable.

Grumpy Oldman's avatar

In prison, he’ll fit right in. Mention he’s a child molester and he won’t last a day.

EAWass's avatar

… a squirrel moment. I love that.

James Bastnagel's avatar

Epstein’s crime is both heinous and no longer in progress. 300K children are missing NOW. These kids need to be rescued NOW, and Bondi is doing it. The Epstein list is an old distraction for me. Amusing but not crucial. Bondi stays I hope.

Grumpy Oldman's avatar

Rather than being treated as a minor celebrity & interviewed, Ghislane Maxwell should be on the receiving end of amorous advances from many diesel-dykes, 24/7!

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

I feel sure she is and maybe has a special dyke of her own. On a side note it has been said the [ victims ? ] chosen by Maxwell were 15-16 years old and some [parents ? ] actually endorsed it as a possible stardom gateway.

NNTX's avatar

Terrible, isn't it? Seems that a number of the victims of Sean Combs also had parents that encouraged their time with him to "promote" their careers. In fairness, they may not have known about the "freak offs".

However our culture's obsession with celebrity is not healthy, nor good.

VICKI's avatar

Don't forget R. Kelly, a longtime predator singer/star sitting in jail where he belongs.

Doggie Dad's avatar

I always assumed the wood chipper metaphor is a reference to Fargo, so the Coen Bros get the nod.

Don Surber's avatar

Ah. I overlooked that.

donald b welch's avatar

respectfully that line has been around a lot longer than the coen brothers although i will say they used a wood chipper very effectively on screen.

PM's avatar

apologies, donald b welch. AOC is also a Hoofdaphobiac, it must be OK. Her reasons: it's easier to type that way, and she hates CAPITALISM.

Grumpy Oldman's avatar

James Bond prior to that.

Laurie's avatar

I'm ambivalent about "the list", although I think Bondi should stop appearing on Fox so often she looks like she's auditioning for an anchor job. I would rather see the list of Congressman and Senators that have used the congressional slush fund for buying off alleged victims of their proclivities. Or the dozens of democrats that owe back taxes.

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

AMEN10,0000 times Laurrie !!!

Rick's avatar

Per Bondi, they have hundreds of hours of pedo tapes. Nobody is asking to expose children. I want each and every documented pedophile exposed, from Gates to supreme court justices, if that’s where the evidence leads. Case is NOT closed.

SDN's avatar

They have hundreds of hours of pedo tapes.... that have been outside of "chain of custody" for over a decade. You don't know what's on those tapes..... or when it was actually put there.

And if all you want to do is feed people into wood chippers, you don't need an AG for that.

I'm seeing an awful lot of Thomas Ropers ready to cut a road through the law to get at the Devil.

Rick's avatar

Wood chippers work. Good enough for me.

Grumpy Oldman's avatar

Feral pig farms, even more brutal being torn apart by razor sharp teeth.

Rick's avatar

I take it back. Say the ACME wood chipper. Just saying we need some justice.

Grumpy Oldman's avatar

We do, which is why I recommend feral pig farms.

Prior to Boot Hill’s, pig farms were how settlers got rid of trash. It’s effective & great fertilizer.

SDN's avatar

And when your name is added?

Rick's avatar

I may have a lot of problems, but that’s not one of them.

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

Per CFP the black book of Epstein was published by Gawker in 2015, perhaps the receiver has the datum.

John Wiles's avatar

I have to start with "I wanted All of the Above" again today. It's funny, but I chose Pelosi, the least picked choice. If you really think there is a way to catch Obama, bring it to light, and make it stick, or even 'embarrass' him, you must work at the 'weed' plant in CA. All the rest have some spotlight, BUT PELOSI! That old venom-spitting bitch needs to 'go down'. The FACT that she tore up the president's speech on live television tells any real American everything you should know about that hateful old hag. She is the best example of using your political position to line your own pockets, and her work was more to destroy the America we love than to make it better. She is worse than Fauci, and I thought he was a liar from day one.

VICKI's avatar

That's the same reason I wanted to choose her, I don't think there is anything good we can say about anything she's done. I can still envision her kneeling in her kenta cloth and mincing around in stilettos at her age...but we can't forget the cud chewing that is the best/worst thing to watch. When she tore up the speech I wanted to slap her so bad, lol!!!! In fact I still do because we KNOW she'll be back with something hateful.

John Wiles's avatar

Preach it, Sister Vicki!!!

Brian Smith's avatar

There should be a wood chipper emoji….

Jim Nelson's avatar

Don, thanks for this important commentary today. You have validated my thinking about Bondi and the whole Epstein mess that it is all a media distraction designed to hamper the real efforts to clean house in D.C.. Although Bondi made a faux pas talking about the Epstein list early on, I believe that the whole nonsense should be put behind us so that much more important work can be done and be done quickly. Of course, the media will continue to fan the flames of any potential rift between key players, but PDJT needs to back Bondi and tell Patel and Bongino to focus on bigger issues.

Your historical summary of how the Dems always look to neuter the AG, and thus the DOJ, is worth the entire commentary by itself. It gives clear context to what we see the Left is trying to do.

Shoveltusker's avatar

"Get Along with Mitch" haha. So often, DS generates the most ancient of earworms.

We had a Mitch Miller sing-along LP at home that dad would spin on the RCA hi-fi 60+ yrs ago.

Doggie Dad's avatar

Yeah, same, plus "Music Minus One" and "Sing Along With Bing." My mom sang on local radio in the forties and we must have had every sing along record produced in the 50s and early 60s. My earliest and best memories are of my mom singing along with Bing, Judy, and classic show tunes.

EAWass's avatar

My parents had the same sing-along album. And we did…

Deb Hill's avatar

I skimmed over this comment and thought you said swing. Then I thought, don't you mean Glen Miller? 🫣

VICKI's avatar

I was there when the orchestra played and we danced at the Aragon Ballroom in Cleveland.

VICKI's avatar

I wondered how many people were old enough to get that funny!!! Ahhh, those good old days.

Catherine Kasparian's avatar

Obama is still trying to destroy the country. He had to be my choice

RevMikeyMac's avatar

Exactly. And it would be very, very late payback for what they did to Nixon.

PM's avatar

You nailed it, Cathy: the lightbringer; who fulfilled one promise: “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

No's avatar

Don't believe anything until it is officially denied.

William Robinette's avatar

The reality of this issue is, that in all likelihood, none of these sordid individuals who have attacked this country will ever be held accountable unless the public revolts and hangs each and everyone from street lamps in D.C.

donald b welch's avatar

upside down like ll duce and his whore.

Jim's avatar

I wanted to vote for all of them, well except Obama, because he was president and I have a thing about jailing presidents unless Bondi really has the good on him. It came down to Fauci or Smith. I chose Fauci because anyone responsible for millions of worldwide deaths really does deserve to be in prison.

RevMikeyMac's avatar

Let's see...the Dems wanted to jail Trump, and they came close to jailing Nixon. Obama actually belongs behind bars; it would set a very important precedent and example.

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

Please let this happen !!
