Trump needs to run his campaign as if he's ten points behind.

Do you suppose Obama et al are doing their magic calculus of how many votes to produce and move around the country?

Expand full comment

Yes.

They probably have an algorithm that runs 24/7 and analyzes many variables to know where those fake votes need to be placed.

Technology to predict their need and technology (voting machines/tabulators) to accept the fake votes.

Agree, but easy to skip wiki and just read the book. Right? It’s still in print. He wrote it in 1979 and premised switching votes between and among states by phone connection to electronic voting machines. And thereby changed the results of a presidential election.

Expand full comment

Yes, I understood that, but was just noting my experience "proofing or verifying" information I saw in wiki. Wiki is kind of like the dumbing down of America where people go to the first and easiest source for info. I still read books mostly and always verify or cross reference sources. There is so much fake or highly inaccurate data out there and once AI takes over you will have no idea if something is true or not because it will always verify itself. I fear we may be. as Barry McGuire sang in the 60's, on the Eve of Destruction.

Expand full comment

Not probably, absolutely. Modern political campaigns have election models so sophisticated they look into each state and each precinct and they project how many votes they need from each to win. They use data scientists and target their efforts on those areas at risk. This is no longer a wait and find out the result like the rest of us. They can throw enough money at the very precincts they need to in effect buy those votes. Knowledge is everything in winning elections.

Yes. I'm a life-long Conservative who has voted "R" all my life. I have watched us have some great wins and follow it up with a decade or more of losses. We don't ever seem to learn what is and isn't important and be able to build a winning strategy on it. Dems win the most when they have strong, confident if not dominate leadership. We in the GOP don't seem to choose those same traits when we elect our Speakers and our Majority Leaders and others. We seem to go for the "senior" leader or the "nice guy" which has rarely worked for us. With us, it's "the process" that is important, even when we continue to lose. You can't run a business or country like that and have any hope of being successful. I'm not suggesting here that experience and likeability don't matter especially today where everything is a photo-op but strong leaders are in short supply in our party. I had a friend tell me that we need more leaders with MTG type skills. I couldn't disagree more. She is a fighter, and we need more of her type but not in leadership. We need them in the committee's fighting for every single line of legislation. We need leaders who are confident, who can develop a plan and then the consensus to accomplish it. Newt had many of those skills while in congress. I was hopeful that Mike Johnson would be similar, but he is a big disappointment to me thus far. He is just fine playing for second place so long as his personal agenda, whatever that is, isn't threatened. We have a party of elected folks on the Hill who are great at oratory, talking about getting the ball across the goal line, but short on actually getting it there. And it doesn't seem to bother them at all. All hat and no cattle.

Sorry, Don, I disagree. The Democrats made Kamala Harris today's special because their bench is as thin as tissue paper. Once Trump pins a label on somebody they are person non grata. He began poisoning Kamala at a rally this week in the midst of media hoopla about what a great candidate Kamala Harris is. But she hit the skids yesterday in the House of Representatives when four Democrats joined a majority of Republicans to denounce her. As you read this, the party of asses (check their animal image) is circling the wagons; they are panic-stricken. Kamala's campaign has the life expectancy of a scoop of ice cream in a heat wave. Trump is speaking at Palm Springs this weekend. I don't dislike BHO 'cause of his color, I dislike his disengenuous bull shit, his policies, and his one world government view, along with his hope and change for our Murica. Dr. Ben Carson on the other hand, I see as an American, that has been a total success story and should be the role model of us all. Heels Up has done nothing again in my view to warrant validation as either a VP, nor a presidential candidate. I don't think that elections should be based on color, yet should be based on ideas and policies that help all of us to move forward. That's not the Dematards ideology point of view. However the Dematards don't even have an ideology, theirs is get the power, hold the power at all costs, let the detritus float in the wake. The best example to share is the Rep. It's been coming to me that we are being seduced into a Communistic "framing" of this election. Communism is about Collectivism. Communism denigrates the value of the individual. The individual's only value is to be a cog in the Almighty System. "The State" is the king of the Communistic system. An individual's desires, goals, dreams are of no interest. The purpose of a person is to serve the goals of The State.

American Communists (i.e., Democrats) are deeply immersed in identity politics--which is a way of viewing a population as collectives--GROUP identities based on race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. American Communists do not buy into an individual having independent "agency" to act in their own interest to succeed (by merit, hard work, responsible behavior, talent, etc.). For example, they continually paint ghetto blacks as "victims of racism and oppression"--and aggressively stamp out anyone who points out the OBVIOUS fact that two parent families, fathers, and more responsible behavior are the reason for their lack of success. (PS I distinguish between lower class dysfunctional ghetto blacks and vast, successful and responsible black middle class, which Democrats pretend doesn't exist.)

So, the Democrats ENTIRE case for running Kamala is as a representative of a GROUP--blacks--NOT as an individual. What does Kamala have to offer as an individual to be President? Zip. They have nothing to offer from Kamala in the way of accomplishments, policy successes, demonstrated leadership, skills, intellect (ha!), etc. Kamala is SOLELY an avatar for a GROUP. Their whole campaign for her has to be focused on her Group Representation, NOT on Kamala as an individual.

The Democrats campaign for Kamala can ONLY succeed if we allow this Presidential race to be framed in the terms of Collectivism, of identity politics. Typical Democratic voters have been indoctrinated in this for years and are predictably responding as lemmings-- they will vote for a representative of a group--NOT for Kamala as an individual.

Therefore, we need to keep our heads above water and NOT allow this election to be framed in a Communistic way. Let's make clear to the American people that it doesn't matter what "group" Kamala supposedly represents. Kamala as an individual is INCOMPETENT to be President. The President is the head of the Executive Branch of American politics--the President takes ACTION, the President DOES THINGS, the President is an Executive--not some passive ideological group symbol.

It is mystifying to me as to why Harris was ordained. Perhaps it is true that Jill/Joe hate the Obamas and wanted to throw a wrench into the works. After the humiliation of Biden's dementia being hidden by the media (but obvious to anyone watching him for the last year), why would they shift so quickly to such a known weak candidate? It almost appears the incompetence was intentional, thus adding support to the pissed-off Biden theory.

There is a plan - I am certain. That plan will be revealed at an appointed time (the convention) and it will be an August surprise, to be followed by their October surprise.

We need to be ready for a formidable opponent appearing in the next four weeks. I think Trump is doing that. He shouldn't waste too much time or money on Kamala until the convention chooses the real ticket. Right now, they need distraction as they need time to build their august bomb.

Kamala was always Obama’s choice, the perfect vessel through which, after Biden to continue his destroy America (and Israel), policies.

These last 3 1/2 years is what you get when you select people for positions based on their skin color, genitals and sexual preference rather than merit. Voting for democrats is voting for your own demise. Marxism abounds in their policies. Worse, this person as president represents a race war you can’t believe. I know many people from Howard. Trump said Obama may pull another switcheroo if Kamala fails in the polls."

I said as much to a friend on Wednesday.

Between now and the convention, she will be giving SOME speeches, doing SOME interviews, making SOME public appearances at which she MUST speak - either from prepared remarks, or extemporaneously - and she can't do it without her patented word salad, inappropriate cackling, or defensiveness.

In that time, she will become repellent to the first sodomite president and the complicit oligarchs of the Democrat Party, and they will decide that she cannot remain as the nominee.

So, what will The Party do? It will do what it did in 2016 - re-write the rules to release all the delegates, and rig the process to run Hillary.

The Party line will be that America is not ready for a woman of color to be president, but it won't matter - every ethnic group that The Party has taken for granted will turn on it with a vengeance - and every white Democrat Party official should fear for his/her life.

"Don’t be overconfident but do not worry. The Lord didn’t spare Trump just to have him finish second."

I want the Trump campaign to say something like this:

“America is a vast country compromised of people of both male and female, and of every race, creed and color, many who came here - legally - from almost every country around the world.

And the problems that this country is faced with affect each one of us in exactly the same ways: the black family is just as worried about their economic future as much as a white family; the mass migration of millions of unskilled illegal immigrants flooding into this country threatens the health and livelihoods of Hispanic Americans just as much as it does our Indian Americans. The massive increase in rampant crime and injustice threatens both men and women and families of every walk of life equally.

We are the citizens of one America and together we seek the solutions to its problems for all the same reasons: that we may all pursue our individual lives and be free to prosper, with liberty and Justice equally for all.

We want the best people working with and for us to accomplish this great task because they actually ARE the best people to get the job done, not just because they check some meaningless box.

America is made up of great people of all colors, both sexes, and from all backgrounds, BUT together we all want and desire the same things for ourselves and our families: to live and worship freely and make America the greatest country in the world once again, where all may live together, not divided into groups, but UNIFIED in the same purpose and pursuit of peace and prosperity for all. We ALL want to Make America Great Again, and together we can do this.”
