"...because after FJB, I do not believe Americans will elect another President Joe for a long, long time."

Hell - we didn't elect THIS one - the deep state did, with the help of RINOs like the Turtle, and John "Ken" Thune (R, Citibank) - and sadly, short of a revolution that makes the French one look like a P.E.O. summer picnic, it isn't going to change.

"Sure Biden will do that. And we might be ice-skating outdoors in Las Vegas this summer."

That is all too possible - not the part about Wilhelm, but the technology exists that could make an outdoor skating rink in Vegas in the summertime, feasible.

The Dems clutching their pearls over a third-party effort is theater for the benefit of gullible supporters of the congressional Washington Generals. All Marc Elias has to do is file a lawsuit in each state where No Lapels (Thanks, Don) has already qualified, done and done.

For starters, Joe Manchin is as believable as people who think they understand or know how to prevent climate change. The climate changes four times a year and has done so since long before man came along. The same could be said for Joe Manchin. Manchin is so sleazy that he reminds me of that idiot Tom Larkin and Larkin reminds me of the mildly retarded Beto O'Rourke. I'll say one thing for democrats--they say and believe the same lies and continue to believe that they represent the (un) working man.

As far as the sentence that ended todays column " I do not believe Americans will elect another President Joe for a long, long time." Until The United States gets rid of unions who represent ALL government workers, we have no chance against the incredibly corrupt SEIU. If you know what NAMBLA is, the SEIU's entire governing board goes to Malaysia, a NAMBLA stronghold, to vacation with all the young boys present, most against their will. This has been known for many years.

The greatest success of the Left machine in the last 3 years was the crushing and burying of any investigation into the 2020 election steal. Anyone who is even moderately sentient knows for a fact that “stuff” happened that is simply undeniably suspect, to say the very least.

The greatest disappointment was the refusal of the courts, any court, to even agree to allow suits to go forward. That was astonishing to me.

Were that election to be proved conclusively to have been fraudulent imagine what a different world we’d be living in now.

By allowing it to be buried, any talk of this or that election, particularly federal, from here on out is purely delusional.

Who would No Labels help most? Themselves.

We definitely need third parties, and fourth parties, and so on to an infinite number of parties. But the only way to do that is radically rewrite the law to break up the existing parties, rewrite campaign finance law, and make it easier for third parties to get on ballots.

I like the No Labels Party. At least it's honest. I mean Joe Manchin and Larry Hogan are probably two classically morally squishy uniparty opportunists. They're not the middle, unless by middle you mean swamp creatures who constantly sell out regular people for their donors' interests.

I didn't mind Joe Manchin until he proved with the "Inflation Reduction Act" (we need a new law about truth in "act" naming) that he is either an idiot or a liar. He voted for it promising West Virginia a pipeline because Joe Biden promised him a pipeline, but then the House Democrats "double crossed" him and Joe Biden "double crossed" him, or so he tells the story to save his sorry behind. Of course, the smart person says, if you really wanted that pipeline and you were the vote holding the bill up, why not just put the pipeline in the bill? The answer: Joe Manchin didn't really care about the pipeline and he thinks his constituents are stupid.

But Joe M is not alone. We have Tester here in Montana. However, Tester wasn't even smart enough to put up a token fight like Manchin and Sinema. I can't wait to vote against him in 2024 if he is dumb enough to run.

The Senate is the original Star Chamber for narcissists. Like Joe M and Tim Scott, they would garner <1 % of the vote. In any event, RFK Jr just ruined Joe’s plan,

Political grifters, not really consultants, the advisors anyone has determine what they will say or do or even think. Only if a candidate has a real position on any issue should anyone vote for them. Politicians like Manchin are better as statesmen, and Breathed defined a statesman as a dead politician. As Opus said, we could use more statesmen! Anyone running for any office should be asked over and over again their position on key issues. Oh, for a true fourth estate!

West Virginia, like Mississippi, should have MAGA senators. Very red states. No chance for a democrat Senator. In fact, WV is more safe than MS. But you are stuck with a RINO and Manchin. I am stuck with two RINOs. We had a chance to get rid of Thad Cochran several years back but the machine destroyed his opponent in the primary runoff.

The system/machines must be taken down.

Hopefully, a MAGA candidate will appear and overtake the machine and Justice’s deep pockets.

May the will of the people be served.

I'm not real sure but safe in jus sayin' I don't know of any Senators or house members that have the requisite number of vertebral bodies[backbone]. My Pa always said that we get the government that we elect, he passed on prior to FJB. Yeah he wasn't elected by the people. FJB will be dead and quickly forgotten before any house sub committee does anything to bring him to account for his and his families overt corruption. I'm always shocked, surprised by the Dems ability to hang together on any topic of bull shit legislation, from the green new deal, inflation reduction act whatever, to Russia hoax, impeachments, January sixers [fedsurrection] on and on and on. Manchin is no different, Opus was right. I'm no longer sure what the color of the sky is in my world, wonder if we would be in the shit storm we currently find ourselves in if that plane [or what ever it was] would have made it to the capitol? Does crap like water seek its own level ? I'll be backing DJT burn it all down!

Iron Eyes Cody......:-)....imagine that - a dinosaur columnist.....what about Gabby Hayes w whiskers....Ma 'n Pa Kettle......how come you didn't get 2cents from Wilbuuuur.....

Glad for the political insight from those that saw friends getting sips of Pabst Blue Ribbon or Schlitz from their dads sitting in lawn chairs after a hard day at work...just a new breed of slimy political weasels that have found even bigger ways to get rich, selling out rubes of not just their local area, but the whole fruited plain... Its just a job to these guys, how to cadge it, position it, sell it, maximize profits.

Appreciate the perspective from your homeland, Don. I sometimes wish Joe would just switch parties, but then I remember how beholden he is to donors like most.

The idea of a third party candidate sounds good if you go in knowing it is like pissing in s monsoon and still believe. The pravda mills are working overtime to protect the hog trough they share with their chosen ones.Great essay again Mr. Surber with a wide eyed poll.

"...AOC cryin' like Iron Eyes Cody..." is gonna leave a mark. I'll be laffin out loud at that one for quite a while. BTW: I believe the main reason Ross Perot pretended he wanted to be president is to show that Yankee interlopin' oil-scammer, George Herbert Walker Bush, how a REAL Texan gets even. Perot's billions came from selling computers to the U.S. bureaucratic state. So it's kinda like Perot used taxpayer money to finance his lust for revenge against the fake-Texan Bush clan.

They are both goons, but the way in which I loathe Jim Justice ensures I’d vote for Manchin if it came right down to it. Justice is everything West Virginians think other people think West Virginians are.

For better or worse, our political system has been and will be always a two-party system. We vote directly for candidates.

We are not a parliamentary political system of indirect voting for one party in which the winning party’s MPs elect their Prime Minister and then he/she appoints cabinet ministers from those MPs to fill their cabinet offices.

As much as I dislike RINOs, the Republican Party is the only party worth supporting. It’s just that simple.
