We could plan and organize a simple happy hour, and extend an invite to DS? The conversation may go on for days - and he’d miss critical deadlines - not to mention family care- but what a gathering.

As for public vs private it’s a capital needs issue. What do they need to grow (which has NOTHING to do with gay/trans shit. It’s a capital markets decision. All growing companies on planet earth know they won’t grow on gay/trans issues alone. Only the big established ones adopt that crap.

Given that they are a farm supply store, I’m surprised their extensive involvement in crazy sexcapades didn’t include bestiality.

Haven’t been back and don’t intend to change my mind. The beautiful thing about retail is there is always another channel for the same goods and services.

If they had an ounce of that on display in the store, I would bet 50% would have walked out and gone somewhere else to purchase their stuff. It was as bad as Scott Kirby (CEO, United Airlines) dressing in drag for a public display as he tried to dance in high heels. As a flying customer of UA, we get terrible, condescending service, stale crackers, and constant delays, but the LGBTQ crowd gets first-rate entertainment.

The general consensus among libs is that the gun violence crisis is because of guns, not people. So there must be some disease among the gun population that causes them to fire on humans. These guns must be euthanized. Because libs are racist, they can't tell the difference between guns and just want to kill them all. But they don't believe in God, so they don't know who's going to sort them out afterward.

Item 1: No folks, Boeing isn’t going anywhere. They have several major issues. The board picks the wrong kind of CEO’s. They have a serious labor shortage thanks to Democrats and the GOP inaction. The unionized employees are being sold a continual bill of goods and lies by their leadership at contract time. Right now they are in the process of strangling the goose who laid the golden egg. Further, Boeing must compete with Airbus who is subsidized by their government. If you think Boring is going under, take a look at the number of commercial a/c flying with the Boeing name. Then research how many weapons platforms the US military is using that are built by Boeing and its subsidiaries. When GM started to fail Obama bailed them out and gave a lot of control to the unions. Boeing will fix itself on its own just like in the past. Airbus has had the same kinds of quality problems previously as well. Reports of Boeings death have been greatly exaggerated due to their competitors. I’ll fly in a Boeing airplane any day of the week.

Item 6: Joe Biden will be the Dem nominee because the DNC waited far too long to acknowledge he is not functioning properly and replace him. This is all on the DNC and senior party officials along with their media. They deserve the beating they will get in the polling booth. They like to talk about the end of Democracy if Trump is elected but their own actions in covering up Biden’s health speaks more to lost Democracy than anything else today. They should be prosecuted for the deceit.

Expand full comment

Boeing may recover from past missteps. But THIS is what they are dealing with now.

“Boeing was once among the most respected American companies. It helped NASA put a man on the moon. It built the 747, the most famous passenger airplane of all time. The firm’s reputation for safety and excellence was such that people used to say, “If it’s not Boeing, I’m not going”—and actually mean it. So what went wrong?

The answer…was the same: Boeing’s culture had changed. And here, the conventional wisdom is correct. For most of its history, Boeing had what you might call an engineering-centric culture, with power in the company resting in the hands of engineering and design. But in 1997, Boeing bought another aircraft manufacturer, McDonnell Douglas, in what turned out to be a kind of reverse acquisition—executives from McDonnell Douglas ended up dominating and remaking Boeing. They turned it from a company that was relentlessly focused on product to one more focused on profit.”

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2024/01/boeing-737-max-corporate-culture/677120/

To be fair, Boeing isn’t the only company that is struggling with a “bottom line” culture. But they have been resting on their laurels. And NOW, they have two astronauts docked at the ISS with a faulty Reaction Control System and no ride home. And NASA knew that there were problems but went ahead with the launch anyway. NASA maintains that the crew is safe and is not “stranded”. Sure. But this is a SPACECRAFT we’re talking about. A crewed vehicle that should demand the highest level of Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

So yes, Boeing will survive this. But only if they get their poop together pretty quick. Folks are already saying, “If it’s Boeing, I’m not going.” An ominous sound.

SHAME SHAME ON NASA! And thank you for this well stated explanation

Don’t disagree with your comment but it isn’t going anywhere. They have been choosing bean counters and profiteers for their boards for far too long and now they ran it into the proverbial iceberg. Its a big deal but not as bad as what Tesla and the idiot EV builders have done in terms of product. I have two friends who fly for major airlines ……… one of which flies to Europe regularly. They both dismiss the hype and both said they have no problem piloting new Boeing aircraft. This problem eith Boeing reflects the crisis in most major industry in the US today, but Boeing gets the headlines because of who they are. Im still flying on my preferred aircraft, Boeing.

For those not familiar with the “Ace of Spades HQ” blog, one of the bloggers penned this letter to (Doctor) Jill Biden:

“Dear Mrs. Biden,

According to your biography. You and the Resident of the White House, Joe Biden have been married for 47 years. You have a daughter together. You also have been a stepmother to Beau and Hunter Biden. As their mother and sister were killed in an automobile accident.

For a marriage to span that period of time there must be some mutual love, trust, friendship and respect between you and your spouse. What I witnessed when I watched the Presidential Debate on Thursday June 27th reflected none of those emotions. You may be an educated woman with a PhD but you certainly do not possess common sense or empathy when it comes to your husband's condition.

If you have read this far, I appreciate that you haven't crumpled up the letter from this Donald Trump supporter. But, what I will tell you now would be the same as I would write to Melania Trump.

I will not accuse you of elder abuse. But, I certainly don't know how you can let your husband continue to be the POTUS let alone to serve a second term. Your husband is ill. I am not a doctor. But, I do know the signs of dementia as my beloved mother suffered and passed away because of it.

Why would a physically fit and mentally alert man need you to go up to him and walk him off stage? Your husband entered the debate hall and ninety minutes later forgot where he came from.

My mother seldom cursed before the onset of dementia. Now, I understand your husband has a foul mouth. But, he certainly let it be known Thursday night with his "Damns".

His quiet demeanor is also a sign of dementia.

I could provide you with numerous links showing your husband in failing health either physically, mentally or both. I will just leave you with this.

We still don't know if earlier in June he was soiling himself or attempting to sit in a non-existent chair.

Your husband's debate performance checked the following boxes for signs of dementia:

[X] memory problems, particularly remembering recent events.

[X] increasing confusion.

[X] reduced concentration.

[X] personality or behavior changes.

[X] loss of ability to do everyday tasks.

It isn't just me who thinks your husband is ill. Did you happen to watch any favorable cable networks? Did you read any friendly newspapers? Even his staunchest supporters are feeling hoodwinked by you and his inner circle.

How much power is enough? How much money is enough? We keep being told that you folks have a wonderful family. Please take Joe and yourself and go to that Delaware beach home you have. Enjoy it along with your family.

Now, you'll probably respond that Joe was great Thursday night after the debate, didn't you see us together? I did, you treated Joe as a 4 year old child.

You might also tell me that he did very well campaigning in North Carolina on Friday. I hate to break it to you but dementia patients experience "Sundowning".

That is what we saw on Friday. He bounced back. But eventually, he will not bounce back. He didn't/doesn't have a, sore throat or a cold. He doesn't have a stutter. He has dementia.

And if you really loved him, you would take him home to Delaware. Will you walk away from fame, power and money to do the right thing? Time will tell.

Sincerely,

Misanthropic Humanitarian”
