Being in the medical business I have been troubled by the transplant industry. Like all things there is an Illusion that the process is fair when in fact prominent people jump to the head of the line all the time. The ghouls who harvest the organs equally disgust me. While it is a necessity, there is a certain aspect to the procurement that bothers me. As for Cheney, he like all of us will be judged. However, in many ways he is just Joseph Stalin in a nice suit.

#27, speaking of favorite presidents, Hubby and I went to see “Reagan” yesterday. If you haven’t seen it, please do. We both cried through the last few minutes, at Reagan’s farewell speech to the nation after his Alzheimer’s diagnosis and at the real footage of his funeral in DC. We were living in the area at the time and stood in line for hours to pass through the Capitol Rotunda where he lay in state.
But our tears were also for what this country has become after he fought so hard to defeat communism. I’m glad that he’s not here to see it.
