Yes, the volcano put a huge amount of water vapor high up in the atmosphere. The image from the Space Station was astonishing. Apparently, it'll take several years for it to dissipate, so we're in for warmer weather for a while. Also, follow this link to the EPA's own chart and take note of what happened during the 1930s. You might say it was, "off the chart."

https://19january2021snapshot.epa.gov/climate-indicators/climate-change-indicators-high-and-low-temperatures_.html

Lots of people need to see this chart so they can "follow the science," and throw all the climate change BS back in their faces. Maybe, like the Hunter Biden crimes, the actual evidence will become too impressive to ignore. If the climate change crisis doesn't work any more, all they'll have left is a program of pandemic rollouts. You know, so they can continue with their genocide.

I had never heard about that volcano either but read an extensive article on it yesterday. It spewed 40 Trillion gallons of vaporized sea water into the atmosphere which could hang around up there for another few years. The planet essentially got a steam bath. I’m surprised that we’re all not covered in sea salt.

And that freaking steam bath has taken up residence in central Texas for the past three weeks!

So what? It's summer, it's Texas and we always get hot in the summer! I'm thankful for reliable air conditioning - when I was a child that wasn't the case. Swamp coolers didn't cool much

When I was in the Air Force in the early 70's in Abilene TX, our first apartment had a swamp cooler as its only means of cooling. It was reasonably effective, but our second apartment there had AC which was a big improvement.

I have told people in the past "El Nino and La nina" must have something to do with heat in the South Pacific near the earth's crust, touching the bottom of the ocean. The thin crust along with volcanos have to be the key.

Energy of enough magnitude to affect the Earth's temperature purportedly arising solely from southern pacific winds, made little sense.

The only thing people should be TRULY “alarmed” about with regards to all this global warming-boiling crap is that the powers that be, (mostly unelected powers), are deadest to use it to first enslave us and then to kill us all off, including the very planet they profess to want to “save”.

It is an extraordinarily dangerous and diabolical movement designed to crush life on this planet as we know it. It must be vehemently denounced and resisted at all costs as if your life depends upon it, because it does.

Agreed. They suffer from ignorance. In their world, its easier to follow a cause than do some homework.

The other day farmer John from up on Third Hill on Brixham Rd in Eliot was talking with old hippie Rich from Kittery Point while waiting to make appointments for their F150 and Corolla respectively. They are both about the same age. I was busy and when I finished up they were just ending their conversation about climate change with Rich saying nice talking to you even though we disagree. John said that's alright, that's how people are supposed to be. I talk to John a lot. He's got guns, ammo and a family farm that's been operating for generations. He also knows that no matter what happens God's got this. He knows global warming is bunk, he knows what the globalists are trying to do to us, he knows Biden is an installed, demented puppet and he knows that our news media and government are completely full of shit. Rich, like all of my older liberal democrat customers, who are nice, smart, educated, successful, doesn't know any of that. The old boomers still think they are fighting the man, never realizing that they are the man. As far as wondering if journalists are looking forward to the deprivation and sharply lower standard of living coming to a formally first world country near you. We should ask the police in Ottawa, the Netherlands and all blue American cities the same thing.

MikeH,

First of all, God bless you for making an honest living (I have a son who is a mechanic and also runs his own shop).

Don't discount all of us educated baby-boomers. I have a master's degree (in theology/divinity of all things!); but I'd like to think I'm not an idiot.

I also own several guns (and a few non-lethal Byrna pistols - look them up) and have voted Republican since I was 18 (and yes - in college); I actually voted for Ford instead of Carter - not popular at the time!

I am at the beginning of Gen X, I grew up in the 70's and 80's and miss them very much. (too young to care about the economics of the 70's) I love your generation and absolutely don't believe all of even most Boomers are hippie retreads. I actually really like many of my Democrat customers as I see them as individuals, but am so bewildered by their beliefs and voting habits! I recently had a longtime customer who is a member of something called Seacoast Resistance look at an Art Deco Detroit Motor City print hanging in my office and tell me that Detroit is coming back because it's turning blue. I like her and respect her so I just said oh really? that's nice. I didn't bother to tell her that there hasn't been a Republican mayor since the 60's or a single Republican city council member since the 90's.

What this really boils down to is the communist global warming liars are boiling mad that their rhetoric has not changed the minds of most people.

As they were running out of steam, Guterres got a boil up his ass and invented a new term designed to turn up the heat on the little people. Well, we’ve reached the boiling point and we aren’t taking this crap anymore.

For 75 mil a year, Guterres could have hired more creative liars to come up with a more realistic new level of panic, although we wouldn’t have bought that bullshit either.

"Global warming" (or climate change, as circumstances dictate), has worked for Al Gore and leftist fear-mongers for such a long time precisely BECAUSE it never comes to fruition. Al Gore would have been bankrupted if real global warming came to pass, because he'd have no more fear to mong. Temps would have crept up 3-4 degrees and Manhattan would still be above water, there would still be polar ice caps, and farmers would still be harvesting crops. None of the dire predictions would have come to pass.

But because the climate remains more or less the same from year-to-year, fear mongers can continue to make dire predictions and journalists will continue to write about them. Any journalist worth his salt would write commentary like this column, and Al Gore would need to find something else to scare people with.

NOAA takes temps regularly all over the world and over the past 5 years or so, temps have gone down world wide. This makes sense, as we entered the latest of many Global Solar Minimum, which occurs when the sun "goes to sleep" sort of, not sending out very many solar flares, eruptions, and the like. This one will last an estimated 35-50 years, but can be exacerbated by... volcanic eruptions. It's estimated world temps will go down about 3 degrees F.

Now we know for sure the failing governments of western civilization will use their great power of propaganda to make the ordinary seasons and the common cold into grave threats. Only more government bureaucracy and taxation can mitigate these "threats." Lethal enforcement of their stupid corruption is the next step.

Mercenary soldiers dressed in black are already taking private property in the Dakotas for the CO2 pipelines. One of those lines exploded under Satartia, Mississippi in 2020. 45 people were hospitalized. 200 were evacuated. The explosion sucked all the oxygen out of the atmosphere. "Instead I ask why low-rent journalists insist on selling out to the global boiling lobby. Are they looking forward to the deprivations they and billions more will suffer when coal, oil and natural gas are no longer available to anyone but the jet-set elitists? Or do they really want the totalitarianism that is sure to follow?"

Those are reasonable questions - and excellent ones, at that - but they afford such "journalists" more intelligence than they actually possess.

No, these "journalists," like every single other useful idiot, believe that when The Great Reset is complete, they will be rewarded for their service to the cause: silencing dissent, canceling those who refuse to toe the line, reciting the lies at every oppprtunity - and they have the temerity to mock Christians who believe similarly in that our service to our Lord in believing in Him results in a Heavenly reward of salvation, except our belief is based on faith in the promises of God.

They believe they will be spared the deprivation and suffering, they believe that they'll be among the totalitarians - it never occurs to them that they are just what they are - useful idiots. Even after they are cast aside, it is likely they won't realize what has occurred.

As for the poll question, this morning, as I drink coffee (not tea), it has to be option #2.
