Your columns are always good or better. This one is excellent. But, let's face it--- POLLS mean nothing. This election will be tainted once again by ballot box stuffing; ballot harvesting; and a press that cares only about POWER and MONEY. As Hannity said yesterday ask most Americans what the three branches of our government are and 75% of the populace cannot name them. We are a dumbed down society of mostly IDIOTS who will vote for whomever gives them money. The Republic is in severe decline. The so-called debates mean NOTHING. Trump should ignore them all and keep going out to the workers; people who are working and are not on the dole.

The debates are ‘Bread & Circuses’ at this point.

“As Hannity said yesterday ask most Americans what the three branches of our government are and 75% of the populace cannot name them. “

IMHO this is all by design; by purging civics out of the classroom students grow up not-in-the-know of how this republic was founded or is supposed to work. It’s by this that people are open to the idea of direct democracy by eradicating the Electoral College which would result in NYC, L.A., & Chicago picking our presidents. To their eternal shame the Republican/RINO establishment has done nothing to arrest this.

Why call them “conservatives”? What exactly are they “conserving”? Civics are long gone, marriage has been twisted, the military has been wrecked, the edu establishment is a series of woke factories, entertainment is more woke propaganda - corporate media largely the same- rule of law has been absolutely turned on its head where the victim of a crime is more likely to be charged by a Soros-funded D.A. than the perp if they resist a crime…

I could go on but what’s the point? Both Bushes were/are establishment morons only exceeded in stupidity by their opponents in the uniparty. And Karl Rove was “The Architect”? “Architect” of what exactly? A bitter court battle? That’s where 2000 wound up.

God help us by why should He? We turned our back on Him a long time ago.

I just can’t vote on this. Each is more repellant than the other. They each have their own dominant repellancy- Christie his unctuous nastiness (and he’s fat); Pence his squishy smarmy ambition devoid of self awareness; McConnell his wholesale venality.

Favorite RINO? That's like asking which cancer you'd prefer to get. In regards to unions, I grew up in the Detroit area in the 1970s and I saw their eventual transition into major donors of the Democratic Party and, thus, destroying themselves in the process. This, I believe was the start of the modern Perpetual Grift in politics - if someone is paying you tons of money to help them solve their problems what's your incentive for actually solving their problems? We saw this happen in regards to both political parties, all of the major unions, Planned Parenthood and, eventually, the NRA. Don makes a great point in his column today about unions having their place in the workforce as a check on corporate greed and I'd tend to agree as long as they don't use their union dues to line the pockets of political parties in the process.

Very interesting article; a few thoughts. Since debates are TV program theater, her desire to have the participants attack Trump makes perfect sense. Plus, none of them get to attack Biden if they can't beat Trump - so while I will definitely not be watching - I prefer the drama of the Cubs completely falling apart down the stretch for my TV entertainment - I understand FOX's desire here.

The Car CEO's ARE very much putting there entire workforces at risk, by throwing all their eggs in the EV basket. Trump will have to show more finesse than he has recently on abortion and transgender-ism (where his current positions are very much in line with FOX). We will see if he can pull it off.

I would note that as the US dominance in manufacturing was ending as the defeated powers after WWII finally rebuilt their industrial base all of US industry flailed away at trying to respond, and the Big Auto and Big Steel companies made multiple errors in judgement and actions that caused many problems. But having worked in the auto industry, specifically in the HR world, I can tell you that the UAW pretty much refused to even consider what was happening, and continually acted in a way that guaranteed they would shrink. And ask any labor expert and he will tell you that the Steelworkers were worse, way worse. Pretty much acting like petulant children, and as developing world steel production took off, made sure that the US steel industry would die. On top of the steel industry's executives own missteps, the entire industry was doomed. As steel production begins to ramp up at home, we can only hope they have all learned their lessons.

Polls - Don - mean nothing for the Donald. I need to see about the big 7 swing states. I still see no path and no plan. And if caving on abortion and trannyism is the plan, well I'd say he needs to reconsider. Oh, and I do love your Chrysler description. Spot on Don! Spot on!

One term of PDJT - with both houses of Congress - would be a beautiful thing. Get the Dems in the minority, where they have always been but for their voter fraud, and Trump would get more done than he did in his productive first term. The biggest challenge is to get rid of the RINOs. They do more damage to liberty than the Dems.

Perino is both talented and pretty but she is a RINO enabler.

Expand full comment

Didn't Trump have both houses for his first two years?

But I agree, the RINOs and deep staters are the real problem. My hope is that if Trump can pull off getting elected (for a 3rd time) that he now knows how to combat all that.

Expand full comment

Yes he did, but the Dems launched a blitzkrieg assault and the RINOs hid. He did amazingly well considering what he fought without much support.

So, like I said, I HOPE Trump is ready to outmaneuver the deep state if given another chance because he WILL get the SAME TREATMENT if not WORSE, even if the "Republicans" have both houses of Congress.

Trump is correct. EVs are easier to make, even though they are crap. Think electric toaster from China. They can mostly be made by computer since less working parts. Therefore ultimately a significant downsizing of labor force. As to their exorbitant pay, who cares really? If everyone is making money it helps the rest of the economy around them.

Think back to 1918. Demented Fascist race-baiting democrat Woodrow Wilson’s Caretaker unofficial POTUS wife and nurse sent our troops and a few DC SwampLackies to Vladivostok to kill off the revolution a-borning there.

We see what happened since.

Then, the Romanovs were today’s Uniparty. And we have had -since- a hundred plus years of disinformation, dissembly, and deceit from Our Romanov Uniparty, in search of our own “Bully” nascent-cum-self congratulative decadent moral crusade.

And we have handled that adventure no better than the Romans did theirs.

She is slavishly attached to the posterior of W and the whole Bushie clan and therefore Trump is her nemesis. Screw her. She looks like she could use it.

Darlington SC is many miles from the Mahoning Valley. The nearest river is not suitable for water power, Darlington doesn’t have coal or iron ore. It has sandy soil from an ancient beach created when the sea level was much higher. It does have a profitable steel mill with good paying jobs. Darlington has junk cars the mill melts with clean green electric power. That power comes from the H B Robinson Nuclear Generating Station, that has been operating safely and profitably for a half century. [the Williamsburg County gentlemen, you have seen describing how the F-35 crash sounded, retired from the Georgetown SC steel mill which has only been marginally profitable during its history]
