Good move, Mr. Surber!

Agree on abolishing the FBI! I’ve been in favor of burning it all down ever since Waco, Ruby Ridge and OKC. The so-called Patriot Act should be thoroughly reviewed, debated, and perhaps scrapped once the new Congress takes session.

I used to say that the rank and file was good, but the bigwigs were bad. But the rank and file are the ones showing up at pro life granny's house with guns drawn. These rank and filers have a hard choice to make, I get it - but it's time.

1. Congress should create an independent Dept of Justice. The Attorney General in charge would be appointed by a college of the States' Attorneys General.

2. Non-military agencies (IRS, Postal Service, Agriculture, etc) should be banned from having private armies (storm troopers). If federal agencies need SWAT teams they should request support from local law enforcement.

Why not move the Secret Service back to Treasury, from whence they came?

If you immediately take the FBI away from DOJ, DOJ loses its stormtroopers.

Interesting option for them FIBBIEs. Other DC places could use the same kind of sweeping.

Glad to see you here, Don. For those new to Don Surber, he is one of the best journalists in America. He has a keen sense of humor, knows how to get to the point, and his knowledge of American history in particular is a wonderful thing to see. My only regret is that he doesn't charge for subscriptions to this substack account or his main venue, https://donsurber.blogspot.com/ [end address]. Of course, he must have a very good reason for this.

Welcome to Substack, I'm a religious reader of your blog on the censorship site, will be fine if you move over here where I can comment. I can't over there because I deleted my Google account last year for what I hope are obvious reasons. Be sure to let the dude who runs Citizen Free Press know because he links frequently to your articles.
