The USA cannot be all things to all people--it is unique, requiring a unique people.

I agree. Nothing good. Only evil.

Rep Gill is my rep in Texas. See him a lot on FOX. He never disappoints. When everyone talks about deep and thin political benches it's obvious that Brandon Gill swims in the DEEP end of the Republican pool.

As far as RINOs, we Texans took care of Cornyn. Somebody else has to take MurCowski down.

Jake's avatar

Oddly enough, Brandon's father in law is Denesh D'Souza. Thanksgiving dinner would be pretty frosty if he turned RINO. Like any normal marriage, his wife will keep him in line.

Sheila Barkofske's avatar

Wow, I did not know that. Explains a lot.

GaryC9's avatar

That’s a factoid I wasn’t aware of. Thanks for sharing.

steph_gray's avatar

Haven't kept track of Dinesh, has he gone RINO?

He put out some good informative videos back in the day...

Joe LaGreca's avatar

As far as I can tell, Dinesh hasn't strayed left.

Mike Ware's avatar

No, he definitely has NOT turned Rino. Especially since Obummer put him in prison. Dish served cold, and all that stuff!!!

steph_gray's avatar

Very glad to hear it!

Cookie McCall's avatar

Interesting - I didn't know that about him - one more check mark in his favor

Retirednottired's avatar

Maybe, but Gill will not be old enough to run in 2028.

tj's avatar

Wow. I will give his wife an attaboy then. I did not know this.

James Wills's avatar

Well done; thank Texans very much.

Murky Murkowsky is a real problem, but the blatant, in-your-face election steal underway in California prolly takes precedent right now. Perhaps Alaskans will wake up sometime soon and do their duty, too.

Joe LaGreca's avatar

They have to get rid of Ranked Choice Voting - which was pushed by Princess Lisa's team to help keep her in power. Most of the money to get RCV passed came from outside Alaska. I don't think Alaskans know how RCV works.

steph_gray's avatar

I think Maine has it too. I call it Smelly (Rank) Choice.

It's incomprehensible and dumb, all totally on purpose to guess what - suppress the vote! You know, that thing the enemy keeps accusing us of.

Joe LaGreca's avatar

Correct:

Alaska and Maine are the only two states that require ranked choice voting (RCV) for statewide elections, including federal offices and gubernatorial races. Hawaii also uses RCV statewide but only for federal special elections and county council special elections.

Several other states permit local jurisdictions to adopt RCV under state law:

Colorado, New Mexico, Utah (pilot program expired Jan 2026), Virginia, and California (specific counties like Santa Clara) allow municipalities or counties to use RCV if they choose.

District of Columbia has approved RCV for all local and federal elections, with implementation beginning in June 2026.

Conversely, 19 states explicitly prohibit ranked choice voting as of 2026, including Florida, Idaho, Tennessee, Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming, Alabama, and Arkansas. In the remaining states, the legal status of RCV is unclear or not addressed by state law.

Damn the torpedoes's avatar

You can tell who’s for RCV by what states it’s allowed in—clearly designed to cheat.

steph_gray's avatar

Thank you!

It clearly needs a SCOTUS challenge imho.

Joe LaGreca's avatar

Just read:

Washington, D.C., will hold its first election using ranked-choice voting (RCV) on June 16, joining three states and three of the 100 largest cities in the country that use or are scheduled to use the system.

Cookie McCall's avatar

To the best of my knowledge, Texas doesn't have RCV

Sam Prentice's avatar

I'm not sure that anyone but Democrats understand it. They devised it as Plan B when their direct fraud isn't effective.

Sam Prentice's avatar

Republicans defeated Murkowski in the primary last time but she ran as an independent and their fraudulent ranked-choice voting still enabled her to steal the win.

Jake he seems to be headed in the right direction. But Mr. Gill needs to build a coalition of like minded and acting members or he will be another Tom Cotton with a big gun and no troops. It’s the coalitions that have real clout and who get things done. The Senate was that way once, then it became a personally and celebrity club where everyone is a tough guy and nothing gets done.

I wish we could get someone like Gill around here. Unfortuately, all I have is Dims and mostly RINOs with a few exceptions.

A great read this morning Don S!

Isn’t it wonderful that we see the true racists are the same people who call everyone else a racist. But isn’t this always the case?

The Hildabeast always claimed to “fight for women”, as she trashed any women her husband poked, or got in her way of acquiring power.

Bernie and the fake injun scream about billionaires because they can’t stigmatize millionaires any more because they are in the club now, (get ready trillionaires, your next as soon as they have a billion in their accounts).

We are governed by narcissists who in any real work role would fail.

Most of them have never accomplished anything except lining their own pockets.

They hate hard working Americans, OF ALL COLORS!!!, because we are independent and we do not need them to survive. And don’t forget we are, to them, DEPLORABLES.

They worship at the throne of the Muslim in Chief, the empty suit himself, Barry Sotero. The TRUE “Hitler” of the modern era, or maybe I should foist that title on Soros, or should I say Satan??

Well at least we will get to watch California self destruct over the next few years. Los Angeles had a chance with Spencer Pratt, but the ballot printers worked a lot of overtime hours to make sure the city stays a drug addict infested shit hole.

I need to ask all my Surber-Friends….

Has anyone heard Obama say “if he had a son, he would look like Karmelo”?

I lived in Wylie and played hockey for the Coyotes. It was a beer league but that's another story.

It was a good place at that time. My children were grown and out of the public school processing and indoctrination mill.

I have been reading much of the incursion and insidious invasion of Islam. Your piece today hits very close to home. Anyone thinking otherwise only need to look at what was the UK. The numbers are growing, the threat is very real and should be a major concern of every Christian in America.

Cheers to all. Sunday is Flag day. If you don't own a Flag, buy one. If you own a Flag, put it out early on Sunday. Or better still every day.

Observe Flag etiquette.

In the year of our country's 250th anniversary, we must make a stance of ridding ourselves of this islamic trash once and for all and reestablishing our Biblical foundation. We are a Christian nation founded on Biblical principles.

The newly released Eric Metaxas book "Revolution" establishes a clear case that our founders weren't just Deists, they were deeply convicted Christians for the most part. History has tried to erase this fact for more than a century.

What we AREN'T is islamic. Islam is a religion, a political code of administration, and a cause for extreme violence all couched within an innocent looking head scarf. They are satan masquerading as the religion of peace.

Jefferson referred to them as Mohammedans. Then he sent the Marines….

Sam Prentice's avatar

It was ridiculous when Obama commented on Jefferson reading the Koran as if he was considering a conversion. He was reading to gain insight on their mentality and what the best ways were to defeat them. Know your enemy!

Today while shopping I met a woman who recently relocated to TX from Beverly Hills. She was originally Iranian. Her perspective was quite interesting on CA (full of fraud and unlivable now for either her or her two grown sons); Iran (she is incredibly thankful to President Trump and detests the mullahs, who have ruined Iran and replaced Persians culture with their hideous radical Islamic ideology). She also denounces Shia Muslems and agrees they should not be in the USA. Interestingly, she converted to Christianity some time ago.

The persecution of Christians in Moslem cultures (now including broad swathes of Europe) is a travesty. America should absolutely NOT allow this here.

GaryC9's avatar

Rep Gill needs to be cloned by every congressional district in the country. He needs to be even more aggressive against the Red Green Alliance of the commies and mooslims. They are pressing every advantage in Texas and need to be defeated, in the terminology of the left, By Any Means Necessary.

Shoveltusker's avatar

"Enjoy his grilling for now but keep an eye on Gill and hope he doesn’t turn into a RINO-stone Cowboy like Trey Gowdy, Dan “Eyepatch McCain” Crenshaw and the Divine Miss MTG."

I'm genuinely mystified about this phenomenon. I get how morally deficient, insecure people turn into Good White People™ (and the subset of AWFLs) who hate Trump as a form of religious observation and status-maintenance among the smart set; I get why NGO types and federal agency people hate Trump because he threatens their cush jobs and pensions; I get why parasites hate Trump because he threatens their free money. I even get why blacks hate Trump because they hate all whites, and why Muzzies hate Trump because he's an infidel.

But what would turn a principled America-first politician into a sniveling RINO, who sides with the forces of darkness, thievery, and cultural rot?

And Power. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Money and power go hand in hand. The rule of law should keep them in line but our judicial system is currently listing hard to port.

Joe LaGreca's avatar

Beat me to it - money & power (climbing up the leadership chain) are the drivers. I actually donated money to Crenshaw who was promoted by the Leadership Institute. What a disappointment.

steph_gray's avatar

I think many here were fooled by at least one of the later turncoat fake MAGAs.

I was gobsmacked about MTG.

And to a lesser degree, Tucker. Dare I say, another common factor in that tiny self-licking ice cream of a group appears to be ugly anti-Seminitism, festering until they decided it was time to reveal it.

Sam Prentice's avatar

I saw through MTG right from the start. But Tucker is an entirely different story. Either he was a first class liar in his earlier Fox News days or his dream of being attacked by demons is actually true. Something very serious went wrong in his brain. Crashing and burning doesn't even come close to describing what he has done to himself.

steph_gray's avatar

The problem with being a Grill Meister in Congress…

Along with most other jobs in Congress, is that you become satiated with your own being and end up staying forever. Surber is right… don’t let the smoke go to your head, Mr. Gill.

In the meantime, grill on!

(Note to POTUS if you’re reading today’s comments:

Mr. President, you’re getting rolled. Again. Sue, I hope you’re right and that a deal is forthcoming within hours. I believe in you. But I have always said, and history backs this up, that the official policy for dealing with terrorists should be four simple words: FIND THEM. KILL THEM. )

And speaking of grilling, it’s Friday. Have a great weekend, everyone!

The events of the last few months have shown that the donks would gladly pilfer every government program and divert those funds to criminals here and abroad.

That school allowing sharia recruiters should be shut down and the parents given vouchers to get their children educated by private schools or tutors who will actually teach them rather than indoctrinate our most precious resource.

Hell, let's do that nation wide and get rid of the national education ASS.

Sam Prentice's avatar

Jeremy, I think all of those large government social programs were designed exactly for the purposes of fraud. Enormous pots of money block-granted back to the states, and neither the federal or state government take any responsibility for its oversight and just play it dumb and blame the other guy. And it works!!!!! They all enrich themselves and their cronies and nothing ever happens to any of them.

Valoree Dowell's avatar

What could have happened is a pro bono lawyer might have taken the kid's case--discrimination plain and simple. When fed law (Exec Order if I recall) ended DEI, which is what presumably allowed the sharia recruiters in over the Republican students, was ignored. Not a lawyer and don't even play one on tv, but the publicity would have been interesting. Get Moms 4 Liberty involved.

Brent Perkins's avatar

Gill is expert at exposing the truth at these Kabuki Theatre hearings. But it going to take more than theater to break the Democrat Party political machine's stranglehold on political power at the local, state and federal levels of government.

Illegal immigration, that is to say the illegal entry of roughly 50 million destitute Third World aliens (including radical violent Muslins) into the United States has destroyed our culture, is bankrupting our country, and has given the Democrat Party political machine totalitarian control of government at the local, state and federal levels.

It remains to be seen if the Democrat Party political machine can be removed from office and held accountable for its crimes. I suspect there is approximately a 80% chance the Democrat Party political machine (which, in the 21st century has become nothing more than a crime syndicate) maintains its stranglehold on political power at all levels of government. If the Democrats take the White House in 2028, the American Republic will be at its end and communist totalitarians will rule over us all.
