Today is supposed to be I-Day — indictment day — in New York City. For the 7th consecutive year, the loony left is predicting the imminent indictment and arrest of President Trump. The walls are closing in! Comey-Mueller-NYC DA have him right where they want him. He will be frog-marched and perp-walked.
Just like Karl Rove.
Just like Dick Cheney.
The charge is he paid off Stormy Daniels, a hooker — or as the media now calls them, an adult entertainment actress — who claimed she had sex with him. The case has bounced around in civil court where a judge ruled that her lawsuit was so frivolous that the whore would have to pay him!
As for this I-Day, Republicans know the drill and frankly, the dog-and-pony shows have become boring.
Her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, is a man of his convictions — of which there are three and he will spend the next 20 years in federal prison for being a crook. If only his name were Biden, he would be a free man. His lawyer has demanded that the IRS inspector general look into President Trump for targeting him.
Apparently, Avenatti has access to his Twitter account.
On February 9, Avenatti tweeted, “The 2 biggest impediments to a conviction of Trump over the hush money payment are 1) Michael Cohen's 15 months of lies during 2017-18 when he called me a liar and claimed it was entirely his idea and Trump knew nothing and 2) his recent TV interviews for his own ego.”
If Avenatti is an expert on anything, it is ego.
On March 2, he tweeted, “Let’s be honest, if Trump was black or brown and had stolen a bag of Cheetos from a convenience store, he would've been convicted long ago and would be serving 7 years in prison (at least). Don’t tell me he’s not above the law, because the scoreboard shows he clearly is.”
Actually, in New York City, you can loot a jewelry store and walk.
But as I-Day approached, Avenatti saw the case — which he knows firsthand — is bogus. His March 17 tweets cast so much shade on the case that the DA’s office is calling the day the Dark Ages.
He tweeted, “Attorney Joe Tacopina is no Rudy Giuliani/Sydney Powell. The guy knows his way around a criminal courtroom. He will destroy Michael ‘Dumb as a Box of Rocks’ Cohen on the stand, especially seeing as Cohen publicly lied for 15 months and now won’t stop talking on TV.”
He tweeted, “There are many critical facts and pieces of evidence (texts, emails, etc.) relating to the hush money scandal that have yet to see the light of day. And they will unfortunately be very damaging to the prosecution if Trump stands trial. At this point, you simply can't build a case on the testimony of Cohen & Stormy Daniels.”
We will see if justice is served or they indict Trump.
The media promoted Avenatti in 2018 in their endless campaign to ruin President Trump. The Washington Free Beacon reported on May 11, 2018, “The Washington Free Beacon analyzed 108 appearances by Avenatti on MSNBC and CNN over a 64-day period from March 7 to May 10.”
He appeared on Fox twice.
I believe he regretted his second appearance.
But given his tweets were posted on Friday without comment in the media, I believe they finally dropkicked him through the goalposts of ignominy.
Instead, the media spent Monday celebrating another perp-walk of The Donald.
NYT cheered, “N.Y. Authorities Prepare for Unprecedented Arrest of an Ex-President.”
Politico cheered, “Trump indictment could land as early as Monday, sending law enforcement scrambling.”
Never Trumpers cheered, “The Worst is Yet to Come.”
The last story held out the possibility that it might not happen. Maybe that’s what they meant by the worst coming. Wile E. Coyote might not catch the Road Runner this time.
Now for today’s TOTALLY SCIENTIFIC POLL.
"Apparently, Avenatti has access to his Twitter account. "
Another good example of our system of justice when you have a convicted felon serving prison time having access to Twitter and a sitting President denied an account toward the end of his term and after.
Maybe the corrupt regime media FINALLY get their perp walk photos, but I think it will backfire. Only the crustiest of blue-anon still thinks Trump will see jail time. I only see this circus benefitting the Donald. This is just another repeat of the same old charges. Bored now!
