"Apparently, Avenatti has access to his Twitter account. "

Another good example of our system of justice when you have a convicted felon serving prison time having access to Twitter and a sitting President denied an account toward the end of his term and after.

Maybe the corrupt regime media FINALLY get their perp walk photos, but I think it will backfire. Only the crustiest of blue-anon still thinks Trump will see jail time. I only see this circus benefitting the Donald. This is just another repeat of the same old charges. Bored now!

There's two old sayings that come to mind: "you can indict a ham sandwich but a conviction is a whole different ballgame." Regarding this one, I think they're just trying to get him in front of a New York jury which would be all Democrats who would lie, cheat or kill to vote against him on any charge no matter how weak the charge or evidence. The problem with this for Democrats will be that then the gloves are off and every Red State prosecutor at the local and state level will be indicting any Democrat or the Democrat's family member on any charge and, thus, brings us to the second saying "be careful what you wish for."

I wonder how many skeletons are in Bragg's closet. Let's see if Jim Jordan is going to open that door. Again, I'll buy the popcorn.

We’d be a banana republic if we could just grow more bananas. Right now we are less than a banana republic. We’re like a banana republic discount outlet with only weird sizes left. It’s one thing for a marginal country to devolve into chaos. Zimbabwe was never gonna be a shining light on the hill. But for the greatest nation in history to turn into the pathetic dumpster fire we are now inhabiting is a genuine tragedy. God bless Donald Trump for his courage and fortitude, and his love of country. If every Democrat and RINO left America, imagine the things we could accomplish. Our potential would be limitless.

They still haven't figured out that Trump operates under the concept of: "That which does kill me has committed a tactical error."

Don’t think this is about a conviction- it’s just a shiny object to fascinate the media (to distract from the Biden crime family)

…just as the raid on Mara Lago was a distraction from the “soon-to-be revealed” plethora of classified documents Biden had left scattered across the Eastern seaboard.

Whatever happened with that, by the way?

I think you meant "imminent" and not "emanate" in your second sentence in this article.

The media’s (and Democrats) obsession with Trump has always mystified me.

You could say they, in large part helped him get elected in 2016 by their non-stop wall-to-wall coverage of his campaigns every move, rally, and event.

I believe there is, or was, a basic media tenet that, if you wanted to kill a story you deprived it of oxygen, in other words you ignored it to death (a’la Hunter’s laptop, anything related to a Democrat scandal).

But they’ve done the absolute opposite when it comes to Trump. He can barely sneeze without it becoming front page news. It’s always struck me as defeating their alleged purpose, and extremely odd. I know it gets them clicks but in actuality, they may as well be working for him getting him more free press than he could ever pay for! It’s really quite a bizarre phenomenon.

There should have been a third option/choice: Stormy Daniels ripping off the mattress tags, one by one, each night, after the client left the building (tags used for income tax purposes, on the advice of her one-time wildly esteemed lawyer, M. Avenatti, now in jail, incidentally, for stealing her money).

This is all part of the Trump campaign. Trump is Hollywood. Stars have been getting "arrested" and "banned" for 100 years to keep the media buzzing and boost sales.

Tacopina seems to be yet drawing upon his high school class election as "Best All-Round" in this Trump matter. Whatever shakes out would seem to benefit Trump either way: either Trump gets an enlarged base as a martyr fighting against mendacity, incompetence, and high school class politics, or smiles at a New York prosecutor's office much reduced in reputation. Either way, Trump likely will gather up a host of independent voters, come elections.

The charges are even more hilarious. Basically, they say that Trump paid Daniels through Cohen and then falsified business records to claim that payoff was a "legal expense." That in itself is just a misdemeanor. However, they are trying to say that the payment to Daniels is an "in kind" donation to Trump's campaign to help him get elected and it violated campaign finance laws, elevating it to a felony.

It's such a convoluted legal argument it makes your head hurt.

And I don't know if it will happen either. It feels way too much like a head fake.

But it's nice to know our jail system provides internet service so Avenatti can "tweet." It's good to know what your tax dollars are spent on.

I know I need to understand what my federal, state, and local governments waste my money on. It just makes my head spin though! Bureaucrats can sure waste tax money and the politicians help make it happen. Spend it or lose it is a damnable way to run any budget !

Maybe the next prosecution of Donald Trump will be for failure to pay taxes on the air conditioning in his New Yawk properties or reparations for improving the neighborhoods he built in.
