"President Juan Valdez (or whatever his name is)". Laugh out loud funny. What a great way to begin the morning.

01/27/25: We would need a miracle to get today's article by Don published in this morning's NY Post (a sticky-wet compost heap of stale recycled statements and No-Doz neutralizing commentary). Now would someone shut that flouncy SC Senator up? L. Graham is an embarrassment. Move him up north running a Ben & Jerry franchise somewhere in Rat's Ass, Vermont. Finally, the NFL has a huge problem. Why is KC getting unlimited breaks and "miracles"? Deport Goodell!

Graham switches his costume faster than superman - which he is NOT.

The biggest reason Trump is so strong this time is, Biden's failures (and his handlers' failures) have convinced enough of the Public that the Dems are wrong and out of touch. As well, it seems to have given Trump time to learn from what went wrong the first time--and now he's acting on the basis of what he learned the hard way. That says a lot about Trump's mental capacity (and also implies a lot about Biden's lack of the same).

Expand full comment

Yes, it's obvious Trump has learned very well. All Biden learned from 50 years in DC is how to be a grifter and a thief.

Expand full comment

You would think that with fifty years of experience he would know how to avoid getting caught. Instead he had to issue pardons to all his cronies.

Expand full comment

Because they thought nobody will care with the rest of the world going to hell around them. That’s why immediate trial and summary execution has such a vibrant ring to it.

We desperately need it up here and y’all need it just as bad down there. Treason needs to be dealt with the way it historically was.

Expand full comment

Actually, I think you could say that in the years since Obama first took office, the Democrats have managed to "normalize treason". There has been so much treason going on, drip, drip, drip, that we've been like the "frog in the pot of water that is heating up". But with every notch the water heats up, more and more people realize we're burning to death.

That's why we still need more education of the Left part of the population--they would find it hard to accept executions right now, because they are still literally unaware of the magnitude of treason that has occurred.

Plus the Left has been running a 24/7 smear job on Trump and MAGA calling US treasonous for the past 8 years. Truly, there has been aggressive hypnotism going on. Californians in particular are far gone when they are not upset enough at their Democratic politicians, even though their houses have burned down after their insurance policies were cancelled. Talk about extreme Democratic incompetence.

01/27/25: Trump "Will have to have been," kind sir.

Expand full comment

He issued pardons to all his cronies and partners in crime. Let's remember that.

Expand full comment

The supreme court should throw out his pardons for several reasons. First being dementia, did he know what he was doing? Second is many were cohorts in his crimes. Third is that he may have accepted money in exchange for them

Expand full comment

And I think there are 4th, 5th, 6th, and more reasons too. What unelected Biden staffer REALLY prepared those pardons? Was the staffer committing treason by usurping the powers of the presidency? Were these a "pardon" or "immunity"? Does the Constitution allow a President to issue "immunity"? Etc. Etc. Definitely a legal issue for the Supreme Court to address.

Fat chance.

He can’t do all this on his own. Seems to be getting some damn good advice this time around. One of his greatest assets is he listens to everyone… not just the “experts”.

Anybody noticed that McConnell has become Adam Schiff, Jr.?

Expand full comment

Yes, but IMO McConnell is worse by a long shot. As an enemy to conservative beliefs, Schiff carries out his mission as expected. We know what to expect from Schiff. McConnell? He's a liar; a traitor to the cause he claims to hold up so high. McConnell is 100% for China and sold out this country more than 10-15 years ago and I believe Elaine Chao, his wife, had a lot to do with that transition.

I find it interesting that McConnell voted 'yes' for Hegseth so he could advance to the final vote where he voted 'NO'. The first thing McConnell did after the VP tie-breaking vote on Pete was to go over and shake the hands of Democrats, most likely apologizing for the Trump success because he (McConnell) certainly tried to screw it up.

https://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/government/chao-bio.html

Expand full comment

Totally agree with your assessment, Shrugged. Chao is poison. That Bush press release conveniently failed to mention her family's close affiliation with the top rungs of the Chinese Communist Party. I see her as literally a Chinese Communist Agent. Way too detailed to go into here, but every agency and corporation she's been involved in has been a ripe conduit for her to further specific CCP objectives.

As someone here commented this weekend--come on, Kentuckians, can't you get Mitch out of the US Senate?

Expand full comment

There must be dozens (hundreds?) of Chinese spies in our government. Chao may have gotten to the highest level, but we can't under-value the intelligence the Chauffeur drivers' overheard or the private pillow conversations with the Chinese honey pots among Congress people a la Feinstein, Swalwell.

Our new intelligence folks will hopefully identify, seek out, and remove as many as they can find. Between the sleeper cells and the embedded spies, we are quite vulnerable.

By the way, the Chinese drones are still in the sky and NOBODY is talking about them anymore. I wonder why that is . . . . . .

Expand full comment

There was a Chinese defector back about 4-5 years ago; he was somewhere in Florida (can't recall all the details) and he said plainly that the Chinese had 25,000 agents of influence in the U.S. 25,000! I believe this is not exaggeration. We do know that Chinese citizens are NOT ALLOWED to come to America unless they understand that they MUST remain loyal to and cooperate with the Chinese Communist Party in any spying or influence project the CCP wants them to participate in.

We have even allowed the CCP to have satellite police offices here in America (New York and elsewhere) to arrest Chinese HERE that the CCP wants to arrest. It was only a couple months ago that that New York CCP police station was shut down.

And I would not say Chao is "on the outside looking in"--not when Mitch McConnell can force the Hegseth nomination to hinge on a tie-breaker vote by JD Vance.

Expand full comment

Chao isn’t a bad person, she is just one of the entitled politicians who believe they own the system. It worked fine for them right up until we were $35T in debt with no way out in sight. Now, other than being very wealthy, she is on the outside looking in.

Expand full comment

Agree 100%, Shrugged. In my book McConnell is much lower than Schiff on the scum scale for all the reasons you mentioned. I imagine if he had been in the House instead of the Senate, he would have been on the Jan. 6 and likely the Impeachment Committees.

Expand full comment

I think you are right about that theory.

On the Cheney 'Abdication of Principles' scale, McConnell is a 9.8

Expand full comment

As it said in some cartoon story I can't remember, NOBODY'S ALL BAD. During Obama's final year, McConnell blocked the nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, arguing that the next president should have that privilege. That next president turned out to be Trump, who nominated Gorsuch, which started a trail of conservative victories.

Expand full comment

I would propose that Garland may have done more damage as AG than he could have done as one vote on SCOTUS.

Gorsuch is a definite gem but we are continually let down by Coney-Barrett.

Meanwhile, under the category heading of "Dogs that do not bark," we find that hundreds of thousands--that's a number that exceeds 100,000 for the mathematically challenged--of residents of the eastern regions of DR Congo have been forced to flee their homes as a result of an incursion of "rebels" controlled by their neighbors in Rwanda. (Or as the BBC put it, "Since the start of 2025 more than 400,000 people have been forced from their homes in the provinces of North and South Kivu, near the border with Rwanda, according to the UN's refugee agency." Bet you didn't know. Why would you? It's just a bunch of Africans doing what Africans seem to do best, viz., killing, raping and pillaging other Africans. Kind of like the religious wars being waged by African mohammedan jihadists against their Christian neighbors in Nigeria, where islamofascists in "boku haram" and other vicious islamic gangs have killed about 60,000 Christians. Where are the marches in American streets demanding an end to islamic violence and condemning islamic religious bigotry? Where are the "gays for Nigerian Christians"? Where are the posturing "students" who are so quick to riot when Israelis dare to defend themselves against attacks by islamic jihadis, or the slightest affront to mohammed is detected? Why aren't Representatives Omar, Tlaib, et al out there with statements decrying the horrible African-on-African slaughter? What's that you say? It's only Christians and Jews who suffer their condemnation, while their fellow islamicists are roundly praised for being so noble and and lavished with American taxpayers' money? WAKE UP! We are in a WAR and the enemy has been allowed to--dare I say enabled to--entrench behind our lines and conduct operations against us WITH UTTER IMPUNITY! Enough is enough; recognize that we are in our own existential struggle against the forces of global islamic jihad. And please don't give me that sop about "muh Constitutional right to worship" allah and his phoney "prophet. ISLAM IS A FOREIGN ENEMY AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO EXIST IN AMERICA. We should not be drawn into any foreign conflict on the African continent, but at the very least, we can and should make certain that such conflicts are not allowed to be waged here.
